Number 26 backyard
Mark comes round to apologise to Naomi about not trusting her but she's still not happy that he didnt believe her in the first place and calls him on his double standards over Erin/herself.

Hospital
Karl gives Sheila the go-ahead to go outside and get some fresh air as long as she uses a wheelchair. While Kyle (and Susan) go to get Sheila ready, Georgia ducks out of the room to take a call someone wants to meet her, which she reluctantly agrees to.

Number 24
Sonya is round to calm Erin down as its her first day on the programme. While she nips to the loo, Mark arrives home still unbelieving that Sonya is giving Erin another go and her reply is she wants to help Erin get back to the person she was. He brings up the possibility that she may relapse and again, while she agrees that might happen, the main thing is that Erin knows shes there for her with no judgements. That comment prompts Mark to confess what Naomi called him and asks her if she was right?

Police station
The call Georgia received was from Gary requesting a visit before hes remanded (his bail has been revoked) to ask for her help in getting Kyle to come and see him. Shes reluctant to assist even when Gary reminds her that shes good at getting the Cannings to do things!

GARY: I just want to say goodbye.

Hospital
Karl begins by asking Erin how she is feeling and her reply is fine. He then tells her shell be started on a maintenance programme and hands her an information package for her to read though and goes through some of the likely things that may happen but has one main request that is demanded honesty over how shes feeling, coping, what shes doing.

KARL: Because without that intrinsic trust, we can't help you.

He asks if she can agree to that and Erins immediate reply is yes, so he asks again how she is feeling. This time she opens up and replies nervous, which is understandable he replies and with the barriers broken, properly tells her what is going to happen beginning with the counselling sessions hes lined up. Shes a bit alarmed at having to talk to a stranger but Karl reassures her that he will be there too because they're in it together.

The Waterhole
Naomi thanks the (silent) staff on Sheilas behalf for the flowers they sent her before she does her best to try and ignore Mark when he enters the bar. He tempts her into talking to him by saying hes found a possibly buyer for the vintage car and agrees to set the meeting up (and that he works hard to sell the car) because she wants the commission!

Number 30
Sonya/Erin recap the meeting with Karl and next job is lining up some shifts at the nursery. There is some good news for Erin too in an email from Toadie hes been liaising with his contact at the DHS and Cat wants to meet her mum tomorrow night! Erin seems happy stunned and if anything, its Sonya who is celebrating the news more.

Hospital
Erin has come calling to beg Karl for more meds citing that her nerves are shot but he replies that his hands are tied, he can't prescribe anything more, so she stomps out of the hospital.

Georgia returns just as Kyle is getting ready to take Sheila out in the wheelchair and tells them where shes been. Naturally Kyle isn't amused at her seeing his dad and what his request is. Sheila pipes up to ask if hed mind her visiting him as she doesn't want him going off without a goodbye. Kyle is happy for her to go but makes it clear he won't and doesn't want to see Gary again.

Police station
Naomi has accompanied Sheila to see Gary and they keep the conversation jovial by discussion her tactics for selling the car. Sheila asks for some alone time with Gary, so Naomi leaves the room, and she begins by telling him that she doesn't want the money he put into her account. He pleads for him to do this one thing for her, and then Sheila says that perhaps she should take his blood money as she feels she was the one who protected him far too long, which was a mistake.

SHEILA: I see now that I stuffed up from the start.
GARY: Mum.
SHEILA: It must be me. I must be the worst mother in the world otherwise how can you do something like this?

(Sheila now breaks down crying)

That's rubbish, you're a great mum! Gary reassures her and points out what a great job shes done with Naomi and Kyle, reminding her that she virtually raised him after he shot through.

GARY: We all make our own choices and mine havent had anything to do with anything you did. In fact, I reckon you're the best mum a bloke could hope for.

Number 30
Erin arrives moaning about Karl for not giving her anything to take the edge off things but Sonya reminds her that was always going to be the case and reassures her that the anxiety shes feeling is normal. She suggests delaying the meeting with Cat but Erin refuses that as she's mucked her daughter around enough and this is her last chance. Erin then thinks that having a new dress will make her feel more confident about meeting Cat and asks Sonya for some money. Almost reluctantly, Sonya hands her a $50 note even though Erin comments that won't buy much!

Garage
Mark is telling Errol about the car when Naomi arrives but she doesn't have the technical knowledge to continue the hard sell Mark was doing.

Hospital
Sonya rushes to the hospital to see Karl and begins by apologising for Erin hassling him and adds that she doesn't think Erin is coping. Hes disappointed to hear that Sonya gave her money (even though Sonya was torn about giving her the money in case she gave into temptation) but understands why she did so but that she needs to set Erin clear boundaries. Sonya thinks that she needs to show Erin that she trusts her to prove that she is on her side.

SONYA: I just feel like I don't have any choice.

The Waterhole
Naomi and Mark are celebrating having sold the car to Errol. He apologises again for judging her but then thanks her for pulling him up on that, commenting that only a true friend would do something like that.

The emotions of the day get to Naomi and she starts crying so Mark suggests that hes got a few panels that need beating! That seems to pull her out of it and they start chatting about cars.

Ramsay Street
Sonya spots Erin leaving #24 and after clearing that the babysitter can keep Nell, decides to follow her.

Meanwhile, Georgia gets her husband to sit down so they can discuss Sheila/Naomi going to visit Gary. He admits that he can't blame them for going to see Gary; its likely to be the last chance they'll have and begins to wonder if he really is like his dad by wanting to run away from the tough things in his life.

GEORGIA: You two are worlds apart.
KYLE: Hes a Canning, I'm a Canning. You saw how much in common me and Gran have, we both get cranky when were sick and her and Gary have heaps in common. It means that Gary and I do too.
GEORGIA: You know what I think is the biggest likeness between the two of you? Is that Gary decided to stay and face his punishment. If anyones taking after anyone its him taking after you Kyle. Youve never been someone that runs away from the tough stuff. Its completely your choice but I think you're going to regret it if you don't go to see Gary this one last time.

Police station
Just as Gary is being taken away to be remanded, Kyle and Georgia arrive at the station. I thought I should see you off, Kyle tells his dad and confirms that he will write back. Kyle also reassures his dad that he will still be part of the family as the officers frogmarch Gary out of the station.

GEROGIA: That was a really generous thing for you to say.
KYLE: He needed it. All I need is the family I've got right here.

Somewhere
Its dark and Sonya is still following Erin and creeps after her and the person she has just met. Perhaps Sonya should have paid more attention to her surroundings as a man has followed her and roughly pushes her several times against a fence before making off with her bag.
