Number 28
Susan is ready for bed and watching the television. Nate returns home. Susan switches the television off and comments he's home early. She's surprised that the party's finished early. He says it's still going and starts heading towards the bedrooms. She asks where he's going - she knows she's got a bit of a cold but she doesn't think she's that infectious. She wants to hear about the party - did everyone look amazing dressed up? He says they looked great. She asks if Kyle and Georgia were having fun. Nate says they seemed to be. She asks if Chris was happy with how it went as she knew how much work he put into everything. Nate says he was pretty busy for most of the night. Susan asks if that's why he's come home early - did Nate feel left out? Nate denies this and says he was pretty tired. He's going to head to bed and Susan agrees.

Penthouse Suite
Dakota says it's a nice place. Paul says he's fond of it and offers her a drink. He asks if the hotel room is comfortable enough. Dakota agrees it's perfect and thanks him. Paul comments she's come a long way since slapping him across the face. She never thought she could trust him again. Paul is confused what she means and asks if she's ok as she stares out the window. She's fine - it just is good to finally be safe. He wonders what she means. She didn't want to tell him before as he had so much to deal with remembering whom she was but she's not on holiday - she's on the run.

The Waterhole
The man is playing the piano as people dance. Amber is watching and Daniel comments she looks as if she wants to go home. Amber isn't so thrilled about the idea of being grilled by Lauren about the engagement. Daniel says they could go back to his place and tell Paul the good news. Amber thinks he's told enough people tonight. Daniel says he's genuinely sorry about that. Amber feels really bad for Josh - he acted like a complete tool but he did not deserve to find out like that. They have hurt him enough.

Georgia looks around and asks Kyle if he's seen Chris. Kyle hasn't seen Chris since he kicked Josh out. Georgia phoned Chris earlier and he said he'd be right in. Kyle thinks Chris went to find Nate to kiss and make up. Georgia asks if they were arguing again. Georgia wonders what it is with all of the blues tonight - Chris and Nate, Josh and Daniel, Matt and Brad. She just wants everyone to be happy. Kyle points out most people are. Kyle tells her to stop worrying about it. Georgia doesn't think Chris would go without saying goodbye so Kyle agrees to go and find Chris.

Lassiter's Complex
Kyle still thinks Chris has gone to find Nate - Chris hates leaving things all tense. Georgia says she'll call Chris and tell him off for being so rude. She rings Chris and they can hear his phone ringing. They find him lying on the ground. Georgia tells Kyle to call an ambulance which he does. Georgia asks Chris if he can hear her - he doesn't respond. Kyle asks Georgia if Chris is breathing - he is. Kyle explains Georgia's a nurse so she knows what she's doing. Sheila comes out to find out what's going on and Kyle tells her that Chris is unconscious. Sheila asks what happened and Georgia says they don't know. Kyle says the ambulance is on its way.

Penthouse Suite
Looking back, Dakota says she should have just left San Paulo when Paul did. Carlos swooped in and picked up where Paul left off. Paul realises that Carlos didn't just give Dakota a job in the bank. Dakota explains she became Carlos's girlfriend - or one of them anyway. She knew that Carlos was involved in stuff that wasn't above board but it was part of the thrill. It had been the same with Paul. She didn't realise how serious it all was. Paul asks if Carlos harmed Dakota. Dakota denies this but explains that Carlos is an extremely dangerous man. After a while she couldn't be around Carlos anymore and that made him nervous, especially when the police came and questioned Dakota. Paul realises Carlos would think she would talk. Dakota wouldn't have talked but Carlos won't leave things to chance. She had to get away as quickly as possible. She packed a small bag, undid their personal safe and left in the middle of the night. Paul asks why she came here rather than back to England to her family. She couldn't go back there not anymore - it would be the first place Carlos would think to look for her. Her whole world was in San Paulo and the only person who knew that whole world was Paul. Maybe Paul could help her start again.

Erinsborough Hospital
Chris is brought in on a stretcher. Karl tells the staff that it's a closed head injury and wants him to go straight to radiology. He wants a full CT scan and a MRI. Karl asks Kyle and Georgia how long Chris was unconscious - Georgia thinks it was between ten and thirty minutes. Karl asks if Chris had any fits or seizures. Georgia says he hasn't whilst they've been with him and he's been breathing soon his own the whole time. Kyle reports the ambulance crew said that someone's hit Chris and he hit his head when he fell. Karl says they'll find out soon enough. Kyle worries Chris could die and Georgia cries in Kyle's arms as he comforts her.

Number 28
Susan tells the person on the other end of the phone that Nate's here - she's not sure whether he's sleeping or not. She calls to Nate if he's up and he confirms he is. She tells the person not to worry about her and to let her know if there's anything else she can do. Susan tells Nate that Sheila was on the phone. Chris was found unconscious by Kyle and Georgia outside the Waterhole but she doesn't know anymore than that. Chris is having some tests done at the hospital and Kyle and Georgia are with him. Nate is answering calmly and Susan asks if he's alright. He is and Susan suggests he goes down there. Nate agrees he should.

Erinsborough Hospital
As Chris goes in for the scan, Georgia and Kyle are in the waiting area. Georgia is saying that Chris went to so much effort for them and then this happens. It's so unfair as Chris is the gentlest, most kindest person in the world. Sheila arrives and asks what's going on. Kyle says there's nothing going on. Georgia explains Chris has gone in for some scans but he hasn't regained consciousness. Sheila has brought a change of clothes for them both. She's been letting people know by phone but she can't reach Chris's parents - no one seems to be answering their phones. Kyle points out they're on holiday in Greece. Sheila asks whereabouts and Kyle guesses the island they're from. Georgia guesses Karl or Kais - it starts with a K. Sheila will find a way to contact them though no parent wants to get a phone call like that.

Karl arrives to see them and Georgia asks what's happening. Karl explains that Chris has got a large fracture to the lower left rear quadrant of his skull. Chris also has a haematoma causing the intense swelling. They've sedated him until they can relieve the pressure. Kyle guesses they've put Chris in a coma and Karl confirms this. Kyle asks when Chris will wake up and Karl says it's impossible to say. Sheila asks how this happened - why did he collapse? She asks if it was a fit or a stroke. Karl explains it seems that someone hit him and Kyle says the ambulance crew were right. Karl explains Chris has bruising to his eye but no damage to his hands so he didn't try to break his fall.

KYLE: So he was coward punched - knocked out instantly and cracked his skull on the ground.

Karl confirms this. He has spoken to the police and given all the details to them. This is a serious thing - whoever did it will be charged with assault - or worse if Chris doesn't pull through.

The Waterhole
Matt is telling everyone that someone must have seen what happened so they'll be speaking to everyone whom was here. Matt asks them when the last time they saw Chris was. Amber says the last time was when Chris was taking Josh outside. Sonya says that's the last time she saw him too. Matt asks what it was all about. Daniel explains that Josh didn't take the engagement news very well. He was pretty drunk and got a bit mouthy. Chris stepped in and took Josh outside. Brad interrupts questioning the fact that Josh had been drinking. Amber explains she told him he shouldn't have been drinking but Josh didn't care. Brad says he'll call home to see if Josh is there. Amber suggests Matt talks to Lauren - she was outside waiting for a taxi. Matt asks when Chris took Josh outside. Daniel explains it was right after Matt had a go at Brad. Matt doesn't answer this and says he'll call Lauren. Brad comes off the phone and says Josh isn't at home. Terese and Imogen thought he was still here - Brad needs to find him.

Erinsborough Hospital
Nate arrives and Sheila asks how he is. Nate asks where Chris is. Georgia explains they've taken him into the ICU - they'll be able to see him in a minute. Nate asks what happened - Kyle and Georgia fill him in. Karl tells them they can come in now. He's pleased Nate is here now as the more familiar voices Chris hears the better. Kyle stops Georgia and Sheila, asking them if it's the coldest reaction they've ever seen. Sheila says Nate's a really strange fish. Georgia leads them into the room.

The Waterhole
Mark asks Matt if he spoke to Lauren and if she saw anything. Matt says Mark can't help himself. Mark always has to try and do Matt's job. Mark points out Chris and he work together - he's one of his best mates. If Matt was Mark he would be doing the same thing. Matt reports that Lauren saw Chris and Josh arguing. Josh was trying to get inside to have a go at Daniel and Amber. Mark guesses Chris wouldn't let him. Matt reports that Lauren said another guy turned up ganging up with Josh against Chris until Nate stepped in. Mark is surprised as he thought Nate went home. Matt says Nate must have gone home. Lauren says it was a good thing as Nate backed up Chris, got things under control and that's when Lauren left. Mark asks what Matt's thinking now. Matt now needs to speak to Josh, Nate and the other guy to find out what happened after that. Matt also thinks that's all Mark needs to know for now.

Number 28
Mark confirms Susan has heard about Chris. Susan says it's an awful thing to happen. Mark wants to know if Nate's gone to the hospital. Susan wants to know if Mark wants to talk to Nate. Mark says he could be completely wrong but he's worried Nate could be the one whom hit Chris. Susan asks why he would think that. Before Mark knew Nate was a war veteran, he made some enquiries. It turns out Nate was charged with a type of assault not long after he left the army. A stunned Susan points out that doesn't mean Nate would hurt Chris. Mark agrees with this but tells Susan he told Chris and Chris and Nate argued at the party. Susan asks if Mark has told the police. Mark hasn't and Susan wants to know why not. Mark says he's been wrong about Nate before. He jumped to conclusions about his behaviour and he doesn't want to make the same mistake. Susan tells Mark not to. Nate has got issues but he wouldn't attack Chris. Mark wants to make sure of this. Susan doesn't think he would do this.

Penthouse Suite
Dakota and Paul have enjoyed a meal with candles. Dakota says it was delicious and Paul offers to order up dessert. Daniel arrives home and Paul introduces them. Paul asks Daniel if it was a lousy party. Daniel agrees it was and says he'll tell Paul about it in the morning. Daniel goes to his room and Dakota says she should leave as it's getting late.

Paul asks what it's going to take. Dakota said she came here because Paul could help her - how can he do that? He asks if she needs a job, somewhere to stay - they can start looking tomorrow. She checks he means it. He does as he's not in the habit of saying things he doesn't mean. She wants him to help her set up a bar. They met working in a bar and they always talked about opening one up themselves so they can finally live out that dream. Paul is hesitant and doesn't remember that bit (he should just mention The Waterhole). Dakota thinks maybe back then he was in the habit of saying things he didn't mean and she was stupid enough to believe him. Dakota says she needs to make a new life for herself - she only had enough money to get here. She needs the capital to get her started, some help negotiating the legals and someone else's name on the paperwork. She can't risk Carlos finding her. She guarantees him she knows business and it'll be a good investment. She kissed him, slapped him, she's been thinking of that moment since the day he left her. She'll understand if a bar's too much. She's just grateful for a place to stay and the hope of a happier life. She kisses him goodnight and leaves.

Erinsborough Hospital
Brad arrives with a drunken Josh. He tells Karl he found him crashed out in the back of the car. Karl asks if Josh has been drinking. Brad says he has and because of his condition he thought it'd be best to bring him in to get checked out. Karl agrees and tells them to take a seat which they do. Brad offers Josh a bucket but he refuses one. Brad says as soon as Josh has been seen they'd better let Matt know they're at the hospital. Josh is confused and Brad explains Josh was one of the last to see Chris before he was knocked unconscious. Josh looks blankly at Brad and Brad realises he doesn't remember. Josh remembers Chris dragging him out. Brad asks Josh what happened when they got outside. Josh doesn't know - they were arguing and then another guy turned up and Nate. Chris told Josh to go away so he did. Josh asks Brad where Chris is now and Brad says he's in ICU.

Chris is unconscious in the hospital bed with a neck brace attached to various machines. Josh is watching him and Amber comes in. Amber apologises as she didn't realise Josh was in here. She feels awful - Josh has to believe she never meant to hurt him. Josh asks Amber if she really loves Daniel that much - she does. Josh tells her to be happy and she leaves the room.

The Waterhole
Dakota is telling Carlos to give her a little more time to work on Paul and they'll have the bar up and running by the end of the month. As Paul returns, Dakota ends her phone call. Paul says he thought she was going to bed. She couldn't sleep - what is his excuse? Paul explains there was a drama earlier and he came to see if any of the staff could tell him anything about it. Dakota is surprised he owns the place. He explains he owns the whole complex. He was thinking about her request earlier. He may not remember everything about them but he does know he genuinely liked her. He doesn't understand why he left her high and dry. He also knows what it's like to have your heart broken and your dreams crushed and to start all over again from scratch. For those reasons he's decided to help her with her bar. She thanks and hugs him. He's got to go but says they'll talk tomorrow.

Dakota gets another drink from the bar and is looking rather pleased with herself. Mark comes in and says he left his jacket at the bucks party earlier. Dakota hopes he isn't the groom. He says not this time around! She says next time he'll have to bring his party to her new bar. He asks where it will be and she's not sure yet. She thinks there's room around here for a little hole in the wall with a great atmosphere. Mark thinks it sounds nice. Dakota says he could be her market research and they introduce themselves to each other. He says he'll see her around and she says he can count on it!

Erinsborough Hospital
Kyle goes into Chris's room and comes out to find Nate outside. He asks Nate where he's been and Nate says he's been outside. Kyle points out they only went to the Caféteria because Nate said he'd stay with Chris. Nate needed air and Chris isn't going anywhere. Kyle asks Nate how he can be so cool about this and Nate says he's had a lot of practice. Kyle points out that Chris is Nate's boyfriend. Kyle would be going nuts if Georgia was in there. Nate knows as when Georgia was in surgery he helped calm Kyle down. He guesses they're just different people. Kyle thinks they've got different care factors and Nate wants to know what Kyle means. Kyle says Nate's acting like Chris has a stubbed toe when he has a fractured skull. Kyle asks Nate if he knew what happened and Nate doesn't. Kyle checks if Nate had anything to do with it because he saw Nate and Chris having a go at each other and Nate pushed Chris against the wall. Nate says Kyle doesn't know anything and Kyle wants to know what happened. Kyle points out Nate's supposed to take care of Chris as Nate angrily heads into Chris's room. Whatever happens it will come out.

Matt arrives and tells Kyle he needs to talk to Josh about what happened. Kyle thinks Matt should talk to Nate as he thinks Nate did it and walks off.

After an advert break, Matt tells Kyle he should get some air. Nate appears and Matt says he needs to ask Nate some questions. Nate says it needs to wait and Matt says it can't wait. He needs to know his movements this evening. He'll tell Matt but not right now as he needs to go and see Chris. Matt has just had a report that Chris and Nate were at each other's throats earlier tonight. Nate says if Matt wants to believe Kyle to go ahead. He didn't do it - that's all he can tell Matt.

Josh calls Matt over and says Matt should talk to him instead. Matt asks Josh if he's ok and says they should find a quiet place.

JOSH: I'm the one that hit Chris.
