It's Mason's birthday. Amber has generously given him some socks. They are getting ready for the party later and Mason nervously announces that he has invited Imogen. Lauren and Matt say they are pleased though they look a bit apprehensive. Amber is concerned about Josh's reaction.
It's tense at the Willis breakfast. Imogen wants an apology, but Josh goes for a shower. She asks her parents how they feel, and they say they wish she'd been honest. She retorts that they should understand why she wasn't, adding that Mason has cancelled the hotel room, so it's all sorted. She leaves, and Brad says he'll talk to Josh.
Mason and Imogen are kissing, then he comments that not having to sneak around is the best birthday present. He asks Imogen how it's going at home. She says it's fine with her *parents*.
MASON: Josh can't hate me forever, can he?
She doesn't want to discuss it, but instead gives him his present of fluffy dice for Hermione. He's pleased, and asks her to come for a drive. She says she has to go to school.
Susan is understandably annoyed that Kyle has pulled out of the job he asked her to create. She suggests instead that they could sub- contract the work to Dial- a- Kyle a couple of days a week. Kyle agrees, for what it's worth.
Callum is boasting about his driving skills to Bailey. As they cross the yard, "Hot" Josie smiles in their direction. Callum says she's looking at Kyle. He reminds Bailey that he blew his chance with Josie last time.
CALLUM: Not everybody gets a chance at what me and my Josie have.
Bailey turns and watches Josie, who is still looking at Kyle.
Josh is working out, and remembering himself swimming. Brad tells him not to overdo it, but he strains his shoulder. Brad tells him not to let the situation with Imogen and Mason get to him.
BRAD: If I can let go of my anger, why can't you?
JOSH: Because I need someone to blame.
He sobs as he tells his father how much he hates this setback and how stupid he was to risk everything when he abseiled.
Kyle is making a sandwich when Georgia arrives and asks him what he's doing.
GEORGIA: You know that breaking and entering is still a crime.
KYLE: Well, you're gonna have to charge me with first- degree babysitting while you're at it.
Georgia tries to get rid of him, but he insists on staying. He goes off to see Nell, and Georgia sighs.
Hot Josie catches up with Bailey and asks about Kyle. Bailey tells her Kyle's his neighbour. Josie asks him if he'd like to pair up for their history assignment. Bailey says that would be "cool" and they agree to work at his place.
Kyle is playing peek- a- boo with an unimpressed Nell. Georgia comes over to join in, but there's no difference. Georgia tells him to go again, but he's got the whole day clear. Georgia sulks and goes to sit down.
In a Gratuitous Bare Chested Shot, Mason asks his mum about which top he should wear. She picks one and they talk about Imogen.
LAUREN: She's sensitive, intelligent, focussed. With any luck, some of it will rub off on you!
MASON: Oh, well, we can only hope.
He promises to take care of her, realising that Amber has been blabbing. He gets a text from Josh.
Mason turns up, which Imogen doesn't think is a good idea. However, Josh and Brad both want to apologise to him. Josh then apologises to Imogen for being in idiot, which she wants in writing. Josh explains that at first he thought it was "bad boy" rebellion, but she'd risked making her family mad:
JOSH: I realised what you guys have must be really special.
Mason tells them that he respects Imogen and he would never pressure her. Brad says he knows. Imogen looks uncomfortable, and says she doesn't want to discuss it. Mason says he's pleased he doesn't have to hide how he feels.
Amber and Imogen are preparing food for the party. Imogen asks Amber why she's with Josh when they don't have much in common. She says she thinks about him all day, every day, and even though one day he'll be old and wrinkly, she still wants to be waking up beside him.
AMBER: Even raw chicken makes me think of him.
Imogen looks troubled.
Kyle is playing with Nell, and Georgia is looking on. They are getting along quite well, then Nell needs her nappy changing, and Kyle comments that it will be great when they are raising their own kid. Georgia is annoyed and says she will do it. Kyle sighs.

Mason is cleaning the BBQ, when Callum and Bailey arrive. Bailey tells Callum how Josie wanted to do the assignment with him. Callum says that a geek like Bailey has no chance and it's obvious that she wants to be near Kyle - but he'll be there to pick up the pieces. Bailey is not impressed at this show of "friendship". Imogen comes out to see Mason. She asks him if he thinks about her. He makes a list: they are all to do with how she looks.
Imogen is helping Lauren, and Mason subtly gets his mum to go outside. He asks Imogen to explain, and she tells him they should break up. She says that when they were dating in secret, it was exciting and dangerous. Now, she doesn't feel like he's her whole world. He's very upset
