Previously on Neighbours
- Mason lets slip to Josh that his shoulder will never get better

- Kate is distraught to learn that Georgia is pregnant, and runs crying to Brennan
- Paul tells Brennan all about Kate's brief dalliance with Kyle
Fitzgerald Motors
While Chris works, Brennan is quizzing Kyle about his relationship with Kate. Kyle explains they weren't together long, but he knows Kate's gutted about the break-up and that now he's worried they'll never be mates again. Making out his interest is purely casual, Brennan suggests the three of them go for lunch, but Chris is flat out with work. Kyle suggests that Brennan should stay with them at No 26 for a while, but Brennan just wants to service his car and get out of Erinsborough...
Lassiter's
At reception, an unusually chatty underling named Wendy tells Terese that Mason has called in sick, which has left them short-staffed. Terese seems annoyed, and implies he's avoiding work because of what's happened with Josh.
WENDY: Well, he didn't sound too good.
TERESE: I bet he didn't.
Terese tries to call Mason...
Lassiter's Complex
... but later reports to Lauren that his phone was off. Lauren promises to tell Mason to get in touch with the hotel if she sees him, and also asks Terese to pass her best wishes to Josh at the hospital. Terese tells Lauren she knows Mason is only off work because he's feeling guilty over Josh's accident. Lauren insists it wasn't Mason's fault, but Terese says Mason should be defending himself, not letting her do it for him. Lauren says blaming Mason won't help Josh, but Terese rushes off.
Fitzgerald Motors
Brennan is examining his car with Chris, believing it to have been damaged en route to the hospital after the abseiling accident. Seldom-seen garage boss Danni shows up, and warns Chris about letting customers fix their own cars on the premises again. Chris introduces her to Brennan; Danni reveals that her mum owns the garage chain, and that she just manages this branch. Brennan is surprised to learn that Lucas has left.
Danni is about to give Chris a good telling off for letting Brennan fix his car, when Chris lies to get himself off the hook - claiming that Brennan offered to help with the backlog of repairs if he could use the garage to fix his own car. Ever the jack-of-all-trades, Brennan announces (much to Chris's surprise!) that he's a qualified mechanic, having been certified while he was away. So Danni allows him to stay, saying they could do with some help. Chris thanks Brennan for saving his neck.
No 26
Kate has turned up to collect some things, and bumps into Kyle, who she hoped would be out. She announces she's moving out permanently, and lays into Kyle for not telling her about Georgia's pregnancy.
KYLE: I just didn't want to make you feel any worse.
KATE: So then you broke up with me?!
Sheila interrupts to say hello and tells Kate she needn't pay the next month's rent, but Kate continues to make digs at Kyle - saying he needs all the money he can get with a baby on the way.
KATE: I get why you broke up with me. Georgia's having your baby and that's something I could never give you.
KYLE: That's not true!

But Kate stomps off to collect her things, while Kyle is left to lament to Sheila about how he's made a mess of everything - so that now neither Kate nor Georgia wants anything to do with him.
No 30
Sheila turns up to give Georgia the old stickybeak routine, telling her that Kyle loves her and that she can't shut him out of her life - or the baby's great-grandmother! Sheila reminds Georgia that Kyle's dad wasn't around when he was growing up, and tells her how hard it would be to try and raise the baby singlehandedly.
SHEILA: You can't expect to be there for your baby, without having somebody there who looks after you. That's what Kyle wants - he wants to be that person. To help you. Don't knock him back.
However, Georgia tells Sheila that she has to think about herself and the baby for now; what Kyle wants isn't her top priority. Having said her piece, Sheila leaves.
No 32
Lauren and Matt have discovered that Mason has taken his backpack, phone charger and toothbrush, and taken off. They try to call him but to no avail. Bailey comes in, and reveals that Mason told him Brad had laid into him about Josh's accident, because he thinks it's Mason's fault. Lauren adds that Terese said the same thing, and the Turners become annoyed at Brad for heaping guilt on Mason.
No 22 (back garden)
Matt confronts Brad, telling him Mason's not to blame - but Brad insists that he set up the gear, and even suggests it wasn't an accident.
BRAD: Mason has always had it in for Josh, alright? Whether it was set up incorrectly or deliberately, he's at fault.
MATT: Come on - you don't really think Mason wanted to hurt Josh?
BRAD: Well that's what Josh thinks.
Matt insists there's no proof that Mason was at fault, but Brad argues that Mason goaded Josh into abseiling in the first place.
BRAD: We all know what Mason's capable of.
MATT: Just be careful what you say.
BRAD: He's a convicted criminal, Matt.
MATT: What, and your son's never crossed a line?
Terese emerges and berates Matt for shouting at Brad while Josh is in hospital. But Matt explains that Mason is missing because Brad had a go at him.
No 32
Lauren is leaving another voicemail for Mason when Matt comes in, still worked up over his confrontation with Brad. Bailey is sure Mason has just gone to cool off. Lauren ventures to suggest that the fact Mason has taken off doesn't look good for him, reminding Matt how he did it before when he was released from juvie, and adding that they know Josh and Mason were arguing prior to the accident. Matt insists no-one forced Josh to abseil, and that he will not let Brad pin this on Mason.
Fitzgerald Motors
Brennan's work ethic at the garage is impressing Danni - and when Chris moans about having to work yet another late night, Danni offers Brennan a more permanent position as mechanic. But despite Chris's encouragement, Brennan insists he just wants to fix his car and get back on the road.
No 26
Georgia turns up to see Kyle. She apologises for telling Kate about the baby, explaining that she thought she already knew. Kyle reveals he's broken up with Kate.
GEORGIA: I'm sorry that I didn't tell you earlier. Because I was still trying to get my head around things, and it was just easier not to tell you. That way, I could almost pretend that it wasn't even happening.
KYLE: You have nothing to apologise for.
He makes it clear that he wants to be there for Georgia; even if they're not together, she won't have to do it alone.
GEORGIA: You're gonna be a really good dad.
KYLE: How freaky does that sound? Yeah, I reckon I will. And you will be the best mum.
Georgia goes to leave, but Kyle suggests they go for a walk and talk about what happens next.
Lassiter's Complex
Kate is upset to see Georgia and Kyle sharing a table in the courtyard, and scuttles off before they see her. Kyle's keen to get involved with all aspects of the pregnancy, and wants to come to Georgia's medical appointments with her. They're getting along well, but then Kyle oversteps the mark and invites Georgia to dinner tonight, to 'talk about the baby and us.'
GEORGIA: There Is No Us.
KYLE: Yeah, but there can be. I wanna get back together. Maybe this happened so we would.
GEORGIA: You don't just get back together with someone because you're having a baby.
KYLE: It's not only that. I love you.
GEORGIA: Look - I agreed to talk about the baby. And you will always be a part of its life. But as far as you and me go - it's not going to happen.
Harold's Store
The Turners are going all out in hunting for Mason - by sitting around in Harold's, pressing redial and getting no answer. Matt is still blaming Brad for Mason's disappearance. Bailey picks up a copy of the West Waratah Star, and notices that there is an article on the front about Josh by the scurrilous Ruby Knox, headlined 'local hero's shattered dreams'.
Matt is more worried about Mason than Josh, but Lauren asks him to put himself in the Willises' shoes and understand how upset they must be. She decides that the two families can't be at each other's throats - they're neighbours, and Josh and Amber are together. Therefore the Turners will have to make the first move towards reconciliation. Matt does not look impressed.
Erinsborough Hospital
Brad is shouting at Ruby the journo down the phone, saying her article was all speculation and threatening to talk to her father about it. Lauren turns up, with some magazines and snacks for him and Terese while they're at the hospital - she agrees with Brad about how awful the article was. She asks after Josh, hoping to report good news back to Mason.
BRAD: So he can feel better, hey?
LAUREN: He feels terrible about this - we all do.
BRAD: Well it's Mason's fault that Josh is in here in the first place.
LAUREN: Brad, I know that's what you think, but -
BRAD: If Josh loses his career, it's because of your son. I don't think I want anything to do with any of you.
Brad marches off.
Charlie's
Kate is drinking alone, when Sheila comes over to convince her to have something to eat with her wine. Once Sheila's gone, Kate is joined at her table without permission by a sleazy talking extra, James Spector, who is persistent in his efforts to charm her despite Kate explicitly telling him she's not interested. Brennan turns up to scare the newbie off, and James scuttles away.
KATE: What did you do that for?
BRENNAN: He was hassling you.
KATE: Yeah, well I was handling it.
Brennan joins Kate at the table, explaining he heard what happened with Kyle. But she's in no mood to talk, and tells him she doesn't need anything from him or anyone else.
KATE: Just do yourself a favour and stay far away from me.
Brennan leaves.
Fitzgerald Motors
At the garage, Danni is still treating Chris like her personal slave, with no apparent regard for such working time laws as may or may not exist in Erinsborough. Luckily, Brennan turns up - he's reconsidered her job offer, and decided he'd like to take her up on it after all. Danni and Chris are thrilled, and Brennan agrees to start immediately. Chris asks why the change of heart, and Brennan makes out he needs the money.
CHRIS: Nothing else changed your mind?
BRENNAN: Oh, I forgot how much I liked it round here.
