Dial- A- Kyle
Kate and Kyle are walking Bossy towards Dial- A- Kyle. Kate is anticipating the first day back at school. Kyle is thinking about Georgia and Jacob and wondering how long they've been seeing each other. He admits it was a bit weird for him seeing them together, but everyone's moving on. Kate says she had fun with him at the fireworks last night. They kiss as Kyle goes to work.
Amber finds Imogen hiding from Isaac being a bush on her front lawn. She's wearing a large brown jacket over her school uniform, sunglasses and a sports cap. Amber laughs at her disguise, and tells her she can't lie to Isaac forever. Imogen didn't lie, Isaac made an incorrect assumption that she was a uni student. Amber asks about Mason, Imogen says it's too difficult with Mason, it's never the right time, but with Isaac he's smart and funny. Amber tells Imogen it's no way to start a relationship.
Imogen says it's pretty cool having her mum at home, but Amber knows Terese thrives on work and she won't be able to stay at home for long. As they talk Isaac walks in. Imogen tries to discretely cover her uniform with her jacket, and rolls down her school socks. Imogen introduces Isaac to Amber and tells her to have a good first day back at school, kicking her bag over to Amber. When Isaac notices, she explains that Amber has two bags for all her textbooks. Isaac and Imogen sit down for coffee.
Georgia and Susan sit at one of the tables outside Harold's. Georgia's upset that Kyle and Kate are a couple now, and seeing them together made it feel like what she and Kyle had wasn't the real thing. Susan assures her it was. All this worrying isn't good for her or the baby, Susan tries to get Georgia to reconsider telling Kyle. Georgia says everything's still too messed up, and Susan is the only person she can talk to right now.
Lassiter's reception area is full of clients with suitcases waiting to be checked in. Mason tells Glen about a leak in the laundry being fixed, the person on the front desk is sorting a drama in the kitchen as a chef has walked out due to a booking error over a charity event. Mason says he will handle reception. He wonders where Terese is when he needs her, when Lucy arrives with her bags and wonders the same thing. Lucy advises Mason to get the customers checked in and she'll find a chef for the charity event.
Lucy begs Lauren to give a hand with the charity event. Lauren says she can bring in some casuals to cover for her at the store, Lucy thanks Lauren for being a life saver. As Lucy leaves, she tells Mason to stay with Lauren, she needs her and they'll manage at Lassiter's without him. Mason sees Isaac and Imogen sitting together and stands over them. Imogen introduces Isaac and Mason. As Imogen goes to pay the bill, Mason talks to Isaac.
ISAAC: And you work at Lassiters?
MASON: Yeah, I'm training to be a concierge.
ISAAC: Huh, I didn't realise you had to train to be a glorified doormat.
Isaac shouts to Imogen that he'll see her around campus as he leaves. Mason wonders why she's wasting her time trying to chase that jerk. Imogen says he's not a jerk, and storms off.
Isaac is eating the lunch that Imogen brought him and checks that no one saw her come in. He asks how her morning was, and if she saw Mason much. He was giving off a serious vibe that says he has the hots for her. Imogen says she's wrong, and admits he was an ex, sort of, but they couldn't make it work. She offers to help him with his essays.
Lucy looks at the brochure for the ‘Robinson's' hotel. Kate tells Lucy that she tried to convince Paul that letting go of Terese was a bad idea. Lucy says it's like no one's running this place, which is a bad look if you're launching an independent hotel branch. Lucy's surprised that he's pushing ahead with it, and now understands why Paul left her off his birthday invite list since she's in his bad books. Kate says that Harry and Sophie have pulled out so there will be a spare seat. Lucy asks Kate what's been going on with her. Kate says it's a long story, but Lucy is keen to hear about it and asks for the condensed version.
Imogen and Isaac are bizarrely arguing about a high court judge, Imogen says he copies what other judges say, and Isaac thinks he's a trail- blazer. They hear the estate agent arrive with a couple of potential buyers, and Imogen and Isaac hide in the cupboard while they look around. Imogen and Isaac stare into each other's eyes. Once they've gone, Imogen asks if Isaac is thinking about kissing her. They then flirt using legal jargon, (I don't think I can stomach summarising the cringeworthy dialogue) and to cut a painfully long scene short, Isaac leaves the cupboard after saying he maybe shouldn't kiss her, leaving Imogen baffled. He says he was thinking of kissing her, but they should get back to the essay.
We see actor Samuel Johnson riding a unicycle around the Lassiter's Complex, while he and his sister Connie pose for photos with various extras. Lauren is amazed that he's going to be riding a unicycle around the country, and Mason flatly says it's for a charity event called ‘Love Your Sister.' Lauren lectures Mason for hardly talking to her all afternoon and wonders what's up.
Lucy arrives and thanks Lauren for helping her out today, as Mason leaves. Lucy says she's been very worried about Lauren since they chatted at Christmas time. Lauren says it all happened a very long time ago but Lucy is worried she hasn't dealt with it properly. It can't be easy seeing Brad all the time. Lucy suggests she tells Brad, it could be good to acknowledge what happened, losing a baby is a horrible experience. Lucy says it will do more damage to push down the pain and the hurt. Lauren listens and sheds a tear.
Mason leaves Harold's telling Amber he's finished, but he's wrecked. Amber has to clean the kitchen next. She doesn't mind having brought in to cover for Lauren's casuals as it means getting extra cash. Mason asks what's going on with Imogen and this Isaac guy. Before she can answer, Imogen and Isaac approach. Mason starts talking about year 12, and before Amber can drag Mason away, he reveals that Imogen is school captain. Imogen runs off upset. Mason shouts after her that Isaac is a tool. Isaac grabs Mason's arm and tells him he's done enough, and Mason pushes his arm off him. Isaac walks after Imogen, before Amber angrily pushes Mason. She tells him he had a chance and he blew it, he can't keep messing with Imogen's head.
Isaac sits down with Imogen, saying she's fast for a small chick. He knew she didn't go to uni, he had a hunch last week, and Amber's extra schoolbag was a giveaway. Isaac jokes that he did find it fun watching her making a fool of herself, but mostly he liked that she had the guts to do it. He says it was impressive. He asks them to hold hands, unless she's too cool to hang with a uni student. They stand up and walk away together, holding hands, while Mason watches.
Kyle knocks on Georgia's door. She reluctantly lets him in. He asks her about her trip away, she says she just needed time on her own. He apologises for her finding out about him and Kate that way. He says it isn't serious yet, but it is heading that way. He asks about her and Jacob, and she says they're just seeing how it goes too. She says that she has to get going soon, so Kyle leaves. As the door closes, they both stand on either side of the door, looking thoughtful.
Kyle joins Kate, kissing her, asking how the first day back was. He says he just went to see Georgia, to check how she was about them being together. He says Georgia's fine with it, and it turns out she and Jacob were on a date. Kate checks he's okay with them moving on, Kyle says he just wants them to be happy. As Kyle goes to sit down at a table, he looks at a poster of Georgia lovingly.
Mason arrives at the door, and stops Imogen from slamming the door in his face. He tells her that Isaac isn't the right guy for her. Imogen says he likes her for who she is, but Mason doesn't think he can since she's been lying to him the whole time and he thinks Isaac's using her. Mason admits he likes her for who she really is and he doesn't want her to be with Isaac, he wants her to be with him. She closes the door on him.
