- Amber tells Josh she wants to break up after seeing him flirting with a reporter.
- Georgia finds out about Kyle and Kate.
- Mason wants to know how long Kate and Kyle were carrying on for.
- Kyle tells Kate to stay away from him.
- Gem tells Georgia firmly that she can't go back to Kyle as they can't have a relationship without trust.
Georgia is on her way to work and Gem is walking with her. She advises her to take the day off, but Georgia says she prefers to "move on", go to work, and then do her gig at Charlie's. Georgia has been through this sort of thing before with Scotty. Gem tells her to call her if she needs her, Georgia insists she's fine.
Kate is sticking up posters when Gem charges up to her and starts ranting at her.
KATE: You must be loving this!
GEM: Excuse me?
KATE: Ever since you've arrived, you've tried to get between Kyle and Georgia. Well, congratulations, you've done it. For all I know, *you* printed the email.
GEM: You've crazy. I'm like you - I only want what's best for Georgia.
KATE: Well, then, for her sake, let her sort things out with Kyle! Because in case you haven't noticed, she loves him, and they're great together.
She stalks off.
GEM:(calling after her) Maybe you should have thought about that before you slept with your best friend's fiance!
Several of the schoolkids hear this last sentence from Gem and snigger.
Josh is training to a musical montage. There's a lot of him sitting half- naked on the pool side and swimming up and down.
Josh has apparently had an off- day. Terese tells Brad it's only natural, as he's split up with Amber. Brad says Josh can't afford to go backwards now - the National Trials are in a month.
Amber is monitoring Twitter on her phone, and tells Imogen that some kids are tweeting about Kate and Kyle's dalliance. Kate tells Imogen to get to class and Imogen retorts rudely that Kate can't tell *her* how to behave as Kate doesn't know how to behave herself!
Imogen stalks off, leaving Amber to apologise to Kate, saying Imogen is going through a tough time. Kate tells her to get to class.
Georgia is on her break. She has 14 texts and 22 missed calls from Kyle on her phone(!) Some of her colleagues blank her, but Karl talks to her and suggests she could take some annual leave. Georgia doesn't want to, but promises she won't overdo it, like she did when she broke up with Scotty. Karl suggests talking to her colleagues and explaining what's happened from her point of view.
Kyle is telling Chris that he's desperate to talk to Georgia. He sees Kate walking along and glares at her.
Mason has brought up a delivery for Paul. Kate takes it in, and apologises for snapping at him the other night. She asks him to stay for a minute so she can explain and he reluctantly does.
KATE: I just thought you deserved to know exactly what happened. Look, I was *really* unhappy...and confused. And Kyle was in a pretty bad place too. We were needing comfort in a really wrong way. We realised it was a mistake, which is why we wanted to keep it a secret, because we didn't want to hurt anyone. Especially Georgia or you.
MASON: I just want to know one thing. What we had...did it ever mean anything to you?
KATE: Yes, of course it did! You need to know that I tried really hard to make us work out. Even though I let it go on for a little longer than what it should.
MASON: You were never really into me in the same way I was into you.
KATE: I'm sorry. Look, I don't expect you to forgive me right now, but I'm really hoping that one day we can just put all this behind us and be friends.
Imogen is having a drink when Mason comes in. He sits with her and he tells her he's been talking to Kate about what happened with Kyle. He's not upset anymore - at least Kate gave things a shot with him. Even though she lied, he thinks Kate meant it from the right place. Now he can get over Kate properly. Imogen looks really pleased about this(!)
Gem has come to meet Georgia from work. She's pleased to see Georgia laughing with Karl. Apparently Georgia has tackled the gossips and they were actually quite supportive of her.
When Karl has gone, Gem says that Kate and Kyle are all over the school, but Georgia doesn't want to talk about them. Georgia's phone rings yet again. She doesn't answer it, but thinks she might want to talk to Kyle. Gem advises her not to, but Georgia says she might, after the gig.
Kyle is leaving Georgia a message saying that Ajay wants to know what they want to do about the house rental. Chris is heading off to Charlie's, and Kyle remembers that Georgia is playing tonight. He decides to come along and intercept Georgia. Chris doesn't think it's a good idea, but Kyle insists.
Josh is talking to the reporter - apparently the response to the last article was extremely good. She wants to do a series of articles about him, tracking his progress to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She says she'll have to work closely with Josh and invites him back to her place. Josh tells her that he's not interested in anything serious, and she says she isn't either. Amber comes in and overhears this last bit, and stomps off.
Josh chases Amber and tells her that Ruby is just a journalist, and there's nothing between them. A row develops and Amber stomps off again. Christmas music plays over the top(!)
Josh tells Ruby that he's off to do weights. Ruby wants to come along and interview him there. Josh doesn't really want her to come, but he reluctantly agrees.
Imogen approaches Kate and apologises for being rude to her at school. They talk about Mason and Imogen tells her that Mason isn't upset anymore.
Georgia is singing while Gem and Karl sit in the front row. The crowd are really enjoying the gig and shout for her to play "Letting You Know". Georgia reluctantly agrees but she gets very emotional, especially when Kyle and Chris come in. She falters and stops playing, apologising to the crowd. She rushes out, asking Karl to take over for her. Gem rushes out after her. Kyle looks totally fed up.
Georgia is very upset and Gem is trying to comfort her.
GEORGIA: I thought he was the one, Gem! My whole world was wrapped up with him, and now I just...I'm really lost!
GEM: Hey, come on! You have your whole life ahead of you, full of possibilities!
GEORGIA: Really doesn't feel like it.
GEM: Yes, but that's because you're here where all the memories are! But, if we went overseas to Africa like we talked about with your nursing and me teaching, imagine the adventures we'd have! It'd be a whole new beginning! Look, I could organise the whole thing, you just have to come along, hmm?
GEORGIA: All I feel like doing right now is having a nice hot bath and a good night's sleep, OK?
GEM: Yeah, of course. I just want you to know that I'm serious, and any time you want out, we are gone.
GEORGIA: You've been so good to me through all of this. I don't know what I'd do without you.
They hug and Gem's face has a scheming look on it.
Brad is surprised to find Ruby the reported at the house with Josh, but leaves them to it. Josh tells Ruby that he really loves Amber, but she's frustrating. Ruby presses him for details but he gets a bit defensive. Finally, he tells her that Amber doesn't really understand what his swimming means to him. Ruby says that they could date instead as she understands. They kiss.
