There is an update to the titles this week – the Kapoors have been removed and likewise so have Vanessa/Lucas meaning there is just a shot of Paul by himself now. The music has also changed – the original lyrics are now sung.
Previously on Neighbours
- Georgia getting one over Paul.
- Jack trying to give Paul some words of advice.
- Amber checking with Josh that he's okay at the speed they are moving in the relationship.
Josh gives Amber a morning pash before she is told by her dad to get a wriggle on or she will be late for school. He remarks that the only thing he will miss about school is not seeing her.
Matt discusses with Lauren whether he should have “a word” with Josh over dating his daughter as he wishes she'd not gotten straight into another relationship after Robbo. Lauren advises him not to as she thinks the pace of this relationship will be different but suggests that they should discuss things with Brad/Terese instead.
Georgia drums up more support for the hospital by encouraging people to download her song. She admits to Kyle that she is surprised Paul's head hasn't exploded yet… but he's been more devious than that by getting in contact with Tim to have some legal papers drawn up which “will wipe the smile off her face.” Terese asks if it's the fact she's undermined him is what is getting to him (and reminding him that he's done underhanded things too) and his reply is Georgia has picked the wrong person to fight with!
Susan is covering for the absent biology teacher and when she sees what they should be doing suggests doing some revision instead. Amber has been busy texting away throughout and so gets her phone confiscated.
Outside Grease Monkeys
Kyle is doing some work on the building when he causes some lassie to accidentally spill hot coffee over herself when she was taking evasive action to avoid being hit by some piping! He then gets an eyeful when she quickly removes her top and to save her modesty quickly gives her the shirt he had on over his t- shirt. The pair chat for a bit and we find out the lassie is called Ursula Abel from Colac and as way of an apology, offers to shout her coffee.
Free of school, Josh puts in the work in the pool instead.
Josh is in trouble with his dad for texting too and is allowed to send one final text before hitting the treadmill.
It's the parent's summit to try and decide the rules for Amber/Josh's relationship. Matt is insistent that they need to set the rules while Terese thinks they shouldn't be having this (embarrassing) conversation full stop! Brad/Lauren seem to be in the middle but more aligned to Terese than Matt. Brad and Matt begin squabbling so Lauren calls a halt to round 1 of talks.
Kyle has shouted Ursula coffee and is hearing about her dancing background. She misinterprets his genuine interest in her dancing career as him being interested in her and doesn't take too kindly (she storms off) when he makes it clear that he is with someone.
Round 2 is no better as the parents are still squabbling (more because of Matt's stance) and in the end, Lauren decides that the meeting is over before she stomps off.
Terese rushes out of the store talk to Lauren. Both are essentially on the same page and they decide that Lauren will have a word with Amber and Brad likewise with Josh although both admit that they don't really wish to interfere but Lauren admits that after what happened with Robbo she'd rather something was said.
Terese sees Paul in the complex and is about to have a dig at him when she notices that he is upset. He informs her that Jack Lassiter died in their Darwin hotel all alone. Paul seems quite cut up about this news and Terese says she will call Gabby to find out about funeral arrangements.
Number 32 backyard/Dingo's gym
Its “talk time” and Amber see straight through her mum trying to be all nice and prepares herself for what is about to be said.
Brad is also having “the talk” with Josh and explains that it's happening to make sure he treats Amber with respect unlike how Robbo behaved.
The kids explain to their respective parents that they have already talked between them and have agreed to wait for an appropriate time (before TITTNL™) although while Amber is saying months to her mum, Josh is saying weeks to his dad.
Having finished their meeting about the fun run, Brad heads home just as Kyle arrives. He tells her about what happened with Ursula and while Georgia is interested (more from the medical point of view) she isn't really too fussed as her mind is more pre- occupied as to why Paul hasn't been harassing her!
She doesn't have too long to wait to hear from Paul – a courier delivers a summons from him to inform her that she is being sued for breach of contract.
Josh/Amber compare notes about the talks that they've just had from their respective parents and Amber knows who instigated it too – her dad. Both admit that their respective parents seemed pleased when it was said that they planned to wait and just as they are having a celebratory pash, Susan catches them big style. She ticks them off and points out to Josh that he isn't allowed into school unless he's a student and asks if he wishes to re- enrol! “No,” is his quick reply before he makes a hasty exit from the school.
Paul is writing an obituary about Jack while recalling some of their recent chats when Georgia arrives.
GEORGIA: Seriously you're taking me to court?!
He isn't too keen to be interrupted and Georgia is about to give him one until he tells her that Jack died and that it's his obituary he is writing. It seems that some of those conversations Jack had with Paul have rubbed off – he's decided to let Georgia sing her song and donate the proceeds to the hospital.
PAUL: I think it's time I gave back to the community and if that means helping a young. and I've got to say talented musician on the way then I guess that's the icing on the cake isn't it.
When Georgia asks about the letter from Tim, Paul takes it from her and rips it in half calling it “a mis- understanding.”
GEORGIA: So you're saying it's all sorted?
PAUL: All that matters is that you sing your heart out on the day of the fun run. We want to raise as much money for the hospital as we can eh?
Tim has dropped everything to rush over to check that Paul really does want to stop the law suit against Georgia. Paul confirms that he does but sets Tim a different task – to somehow expunging his criminal conviction for fraud. The request has Tim puzzled especially since it was years ago but Paul wants to know if he can help.
Georgia is struggling comprehending what Paul has done, thinking it's just a joke, but Kyle reassures her Paul's just probably come to the conclusion that it will look bad for him. He then resumes telling her what happened with Ursula and she jokes about having random women throwing themselves at him!
KYLE: You could try and pretend to be a bit more jealous.
GEORGIA: (joking) Trust me if I ever see the girl I will scratch her eyes out… is that better!
Their chat is interrupted by a caller at the door and when Georgia goes to answer the door, all Kyle can hear is loud squeals!
Georgia leads the caller into the house and tells Kyle that it's her cousin Gem… the same lassie he knows as Ursula!
Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Kyle watching on as Georgia/Gem get on like a house on fire.
- Cal not looking forward to a repeat performance when his sister grows up!
- Susan telling Karl about Gem's interview.
- Toadie having a word with Susan about her decision.
- Kate talking to Kyle about the break up then being stunned by something they see.
As the titles begin, Lucas and Vanessa's names have been removed.
