After finishing a call, Toadie tells a relieved Sonya that Hudson has confessed. It turns out that Hudson dropped the car in Fairfax Road, so he, Toadie, must have crawled into it there. Sonya insists that she always believed in him. She's relieved that Hudson came forward - eventually. Toadie said he didn't: Brad tipped them off that his alibi was fake.

By a strange coincidence, Josh and his dad are discussing the same thing. Don had told Brad the alibi was fake, and Brad had told the police. Imogen asks why he was talking to Don. Brad says he thought Don might be able to help him change Hudson's mind about quitting swimming. The fact that Hudson had asked him to lie to the police has been weighing on his conscience ever since. Terese tells him he did the right thing.
TERESE: As opposed to the way you two have behaved throughout this whole mess.
IMOGEN: We didn't mean to lie to you.
TERESE: You found Robbo by the side of the road, and you didn't tell us.
Terese turns to Josh who admits to having a fight. Brad wants to know what it was about. Josh says it was about Amber, as it wasn't hard to get annoyed at Robbo.
TERESE: And you didn't think the police would be interested in this small piece of information?
BRAD: Not to mention your parents?
Josh insists he was going to tell the police after the wedding, which Imogen confirms.

Amber tells her parents she feels awful.
AMBER: Hudson is Chris's boyfriend. He only did this because of me.
Matt tells them that in future they must tell the truth. Mason says they get it.
MATT: You're both very lucky you're not being charged with interfering with an investigation.
This seems a bit hypocritical to be honest, given Matt's involvement in "borrowing" emails, checking out the video, being on the investigation at all.
Mason admits that he risked his good behaviour bond, and Matt has no idea what Mason was thinking.
MASON: I was thinking maybe it was Amber who ran Robbo down.
AMBER: I still can't believe you suspected me.
They begin to argue, and Lauren breaks it up, saying they'll have to discuss it at the station. Matt insist they tell the police everything.
Police Station
Chris tells Hudson that his parents are really worried about him. He asks Hudson why he didn't say anything, when he asked Don for an alibi. Hudson says he shouldn't have done it.
HUDSON: I would wake up every morning, and the first thing I would think was, "Today's the day I'm gonna confess". But then I'd see you.
Hudson tells Chris he's never had anything like this before, and he wanted to be with Chris.
CHRIS: So you kept putting it off.
HUDSON: Yeah, for one day... then another and another... and it became harder and harder to do anything about it.
Chris holds his hand. Hudson says he didn't mean for it to happen.
CHRIS: It was an accident.
HUDSON: I tried to cover it up
CHRIS: You were scared
HUDSON: I was a coward
CHRIS: You confessed in the end.
HUDSON: Can you just stop it? Alright? You should leave me here to rot.
CHRIS: I'm not going anywhere. We will get through this. I don't know how, but we will.
Hudson asks Chris to get him a change of clothes. Chris agrees, promising to be back asap.
HUDSON: The time that we've spent together... they've been the best weeks of my life.
Chris nods briefly, but says nothing.
Harold's
Terese and Matt chat about how their children knew about the case but didn't mention anything. Terese thinks that they are still hiding something. Matt is more worried about Marty, because he insisted it was Toadie.
MATT: So he's either seriously mistake or lying through his teeth. He's a friend of Paul Robinson, so anything is possible.
Terese says she doesn't remember anything else about Marty's stay, while Matt says he thinks Paul's more involved than they've so far discovered.
Police Station
Chris brings in a bag for Hudson, but Matt says they can't pass it on. He tells Chris that Hudson doesn't want to see him - he wants to be left alone. Chris assumes it doesn't apply to him.
MATT: He specifically mentioned you.
Matt explains that he thinks Hudson meant it for good. Chris is upset.
Charlie's
Paul is organising a press release saying that Lassiters had minimal contact with Hudson, and that is now over. Terese overhears, and says she feels a bit sorry for Hudson, because things got a bit out of control. Paul says they don't want the hotel associated with someone like that. Terese points out he's got no issues associating with Marty Kranic, and says that Matt is still asking questions. Paul insists that if he makes a statement, it will be the same as before. She says that if something comes to light, it will be bad for the hotel.
PAUL: If I tell you that I did hire Marty, will you just drop it? Listen, I hired him to make life difficult for Robbo. But just to get him away from Mason's family. Nothing more.
TERESE: So you went to all this trouble, put yourself at risk, to help the Turners.
PAUL: Yeah. And a fat lot of good that did. So the next time your son's girlfriend gets herself into strife, she can sort it out herself.
TERESE: Amber?
PAUL: Hmm.
TERESE: What did she do?
PAUL: What, you don't know?
TERESE: What, that Robbo was hassling her?
PAUL: He did a little bit more than that.
Harold's
Terese tells Lauren she's had another parenting shock, and they discuss how their children have been lying to them, and agree they are probably still hiding things. They watch Josh and Amber talking happily together. Talking to them is not working, so they decide they are going to try grounding them as a start. Meanwhile, Amber is worried that her mum will find out about her and Robbo. Josh tells her to focus on the future.
Lassiters complex
Outside, Matt leads Hudson through the complex to a waiting car. Chris sees him and calls to him, but Hudson ignores him. Chris is really upset and asks Hudson why he won't speak to him. Amber walks ups and asks Chris where they are taking him. He tells her it's probably court, but that Hudson won't talk to him.
CHRIS: This is all your fault. If it wasn't for you, he wouldn't be in this mess.
Amber says she's grateful that Hudson helped her, and she's sorry he's not talking.
CHRIS: I don't want to hear an apology. I want you to stay away.

Toadie asks Chris if he knew what Hudson had done: Chris says no. He tells Toadie that Hudson isn't coping and he needs to know what will happen. Toadie looks as if he isn't going to answer, but then tells Chris things look grim. Hudson could be going to prison for a very long time.
Radio Station
Amber is upset that Chris isn't answering her messages, so he must hate her. Josh says that Chris is obviously upset about Hudson. Amber wishes none of it had happened. She looks uneasy, then says that something else happened that night. Josh is not bothered about finding out, but she insists he has to know, even if he never wants to speak to her again.
AMBER: It really scared me that Robbo had that video of me. And he offered me a deal to get it back.
JOSH: Which was?
AMBER: One more night together. I said no straightaway. But then I started imagining what would happen if that footage got out. It would be all over the internet. I felt sick. So I turned round to meet him here.
Amber says he never turned up. Josh wants to know what would have happened. Amber says it didn't happen. Josh looks upset. Before they can carry on their conversation, Josh's phone rings. He tells his mum it's a bad time, but she's using her "no arguments" voice, so he has to go home. Amber gets a text saying the same thing.

Terese tells Josh and Imogen that she and Brad are disappointed in their behaviour. So they are going to have to be punished. They will discuss the effect on Imogen's eating disorder with her counsellor. Meanwhile, they will lose their allowance, and be grounded till at least the end of the holidays.
TERESE: Longer, if you don't behave yourselves.
IMOGEN: We get it. We did the wrong thing.
JOSH: I can still see Amber though, right?

LAUREN: Grounded means you can't see anyone. Including Josh.
Amber knows she has to be punished but insists that she has to see Josh, as they have something to sort out. They were in the middle of a conversation.
No 22
Brad tells Josh they can have the conversation by text. He's sure he can cope for two weeks.

Amber says she won't, but Matt says there will be no arguments. Lauren says they can't punish Mason because he's an adult, but they are bitterly disappointed. Matt reminds him he has to tell his bond officer everything, and hope he won't end up before a judge. When Mason and Amber have gone outside, Matt tells Lauren there are still a few questions, and Paul has the answers.
Charlie's
Matt asks Paul about Marty. Paul tells him to read the statements. Matt retorts that he wants to hear it direct.
PAUL: Oh, look, if you really want to know, I was trying to find a way to help your son.
MATT: What, Mason?
PAUL: Yes. To pay Robbo for the little souvenir he made of your daughter. And you know what? By the way you're acting, it's obvious to see why Mason came to me for help instead of you. Oh, he didn't tell you?
A dismayed Matt asks Paul when he knew. Paul says he knew about everything weeks ago, and says it's obvious Mason trusts him more than he trusts his father.
