- Susan is concerned that Imogen ate a whole box of cupcakes to herself
- Josh and Amber are patching things up - but Imogen reveals to Josh that Amber slept with Robbo
Power Road
Amber is waiting at a table outside Grease Monkeys for Josh to show up - but Sonya appears instead. Amber apologises to Sonya for everything Robbo put her through; she was stupid for thinking she could 'save' him. Sonya tells Amber she understands how she feels, but that Robbo isn't her responsibility; she should stop beating herself up. Sonya leaves, telling Amber to have fun with Josh.
Ramsay Street
Imogen is cleaning Hermione the car, while Callum watches in admiration. Bailey appears behind him and tells him not to even think about it! Cal tries to make excuses, but Bailey's onto him; he clearly has a thing for Imogen. Cal admits that Imogen's cool, but Bailey says he doesn't have a chance.
CALLUM: Thanks, mate! Make a guy feel great on his birthday.
BAILEY: You know what I mean - she's older. Girls like her don't date guys like you. They date guys like Mason. Girls date up, not down.
CALLUM: Maybe Imogen's a cougar.
Bailey tells Callum to face the fact he's not even on Imogen's radar, but then she waves at him, reaffirming his faith!
Community Centre (outside)
Robbo is sweeping the pavements as part of his new council job, but Toadie comes up and confronts him - saying he shouldn't be in such close proximity to Sonya's Nursery. Robbo pleads ignorance, saying he's just trying to better himself in his new job, but all the time oozes insincerity. Toadie opines that it's not possible for Robbo to change, and Robbo accuses Toadie of hurting his feelings, smirks, and walks off.
Harold's Store
Toadie and Mason discuss Robbo's new employment status - Mason thinks it might keep him out of trouble, but Toadie thinks he took the job just to get at Sonya, and to look good in court. Sonya comes in with Nell, and Toadie suddenly changes the subject and starts talking about Callum's birthday, much to Mason's confusion. Sonya quickly deduces that something is wrong, and demands that Toadie tell her what it is.
Sonya's Nursery
Bailey is helping Callum at the nursery, when Imogen shows up - she's come to talk to Sonya about her job application. Cal tells her Sonya will make a final decision soon, but that Imogen's CV reads really well; he's like an assistant manager, he claims, and has a say in all these things. Cal then invites Imogen to his birthday party tonight, and she agrees, wishing him a happy birthday and then kissing him on the cheek. Cal does a little victory dance as Imogen leaves.
Sonya turns up, and Cal asks if he can have an extra person to his party - a girl he knows. Sonya is visibly pleased, and agrees. Once she's gone again, Cal bins the CVs of the other job applicants, leaving only Imogen's! Bailey calls him deluded.
No 22
Amber turns up to find out why Josh stood her up for their date, and he quickly reveals that he knows she 'hooked up' with Robbo last week. Amber realises Imogen has told Josh, and swears it was a mistake - she was just confused. Josh is not impressed at her lying to him, though, and tells her as much. Amber gets upset, saying she made one mistake; Robbo's the only guy she's ever been with, and she bets Josh has been with loads of girls. He says that's different, and Amber accuses him of having double standards.
JOSH: I didn't hook up with someone five minutes after we broke up. No matter what happened between us, I cared about you way too much to ever do that.
AMBER: Robbo and I are over. I never want to see him again; isn't that enough?
JOSH: Since I met you I haven't even looked at another girl. And now that you've done that, who's to say you won't go back and do it again?
AMBER: I promise I won't!
JOSH: Really?
A tearful Amber walks out.
PirateNet Studios
Mason searches PirateNet for the footage of Amber and Robbo, and eventually finds Robbo's laptop - but at that moment, Robbo comes in, and Mason is forced to duck underneath a table. Some time later, Mason is still underneath the table, unseen by Robbo. Amber walks in and lays into Robbo for deleting Josh's text message to her, and telling him she wasn't interested. Robbo treats it like it's a big joke.
ROBBO: Why are you wasting time with Pretty Boy, when you could have a real man?
Robbo approaches Amber, but she backs away in disgust, knocking a magazine to the floor in the process. When she bends down to pick it up, she sees Mason under the table - but he gestures for her to keep quiet. She distracts Robbo by telling him she's lost an earring, and directs him into the far corner to help her look, giving Mason a chance to escape to freedom. Amber than makes her own exit, telling Robbo she can't stand to be around him any longer.
Outside, a furious Amber demands to know what Mason was doing in Robbo's lair. He claims he was looking for something incriminating to help in the robbery case against Robbo. Amber can't believe he'd be so reckless, and Mason admits it wasn't the smartest idea. They leave.
Sonya's Nursery
Sonya is looking upset, and Bailey asks if she's okay. She says it hasn't been the best of days but that she'll be fine. Callum comes over and asks Bailey what he thinks Imogen likes to eat for this evening. He reminds Cal that the party's at Charlie's, so she can order what she likes - but Cal wants to put in a special order for her. Bailey says he should be concentrating on his mum, as she seems down. But Cal quickly turns back the conversation to Imogen, and seems confident he and Imogen are going to get together. Bailey remains sceptical.
Harold's Store
Imogen joins Amber at a table, guessing from her expression that she's fallen out with Josh. Amber immediately demands to know why Imogen told Josh about her hooking up with Robbo. Imogen says she thought Josh knew, but Amber doesn't believe her, and makes it clear she blames Imogen for the whole debacle. Imogen protests that it was an accident, but Amber points out that Imogen's been screwing things up for them since the beginning. Imogen admits that she wasn't keen on Amber and Josh's relationship at first, because she didn't want to see Amber getting hurt by him like all the other girls did.
AMBER: I almost believed you. But not anymore. But congratulations, you've finally got your way. Josh and I will never be together because he wants nothing to do with me. So I want nothing to do with you.
IMOGEN: He is a tool - Amber!
AMBER: You claim to be my best friend, but you don't act like it.
IMOGEN: This is crazy.
AMBER: Please. Just stay away from me.
Amber walks out.
Ramsay Street
Imogen is lurking about outside No 22, when she sees Mason leaving his house. She rushes over, asking him to talk to Amber on her behalf. Mason's in no mood to get involved, and says Amber is better off without Josh - but Imogen begs him to tell Amber how much their friendship means to her. It turns out Mason still has sour grapes because Imogen won't buy him out of the car; she reminds him she can't afford it, but could pay in installments. He says he needs the money now, which she can't do - and he storms off.
Harold's Store
Toadie and Sonya discuss Robbo's new job - Toadie has complained to the courts about him working nearby, and they're hoping the council will move him to work elsewhere. Sonya gets a text from Sheila, confirming the numbers for Cal's birthday dinner at Charlie's - and Toadie and Sonya wonder who Callum's mystery female guest is; Sonya can't wait to find out. Bailey comes in and they try to extract information from him, but he's keeping quiet, saying they'll have to wait till night to find out.
Ramsay Street
Bailey accosts Imogen. She's not in the mood to talk, saying she's had a horrible day. Bailey asks if she likes Callum.
IMOGEN: What?
BAILEY: Because he likes you.
IMOGEN: Are you twelve?
Bailey explains that the reason Cal invited her to his birthday was because he is hoping something will happen between them, blaming his delusions on everything that happened with Rani recently. Bailey also reveals that the only people going to Cal's party are Bailey, Imogen and his family - whereas she'd thought the entire street was invited. Imogen quickly resolves to tell Cal she can't make it, and Bailey asks if she could let him down gently, because he's been really full on! Imogen shakes her head and walks off.
No 22
Imogen comes in and shouts at Josh for being such an idiot to Amber, and letting her one mistake ruin everything between them. Imogen reveals that Amber is blaming her for interfering, and Josh says Amber's right - but Imogen tells him that even if she did interfere, that shouldn't stop him from being with Amber.
JOSH: Well it's not happening. End of story.
She whacks him with a cushion.
IMOGEN: You're being dumb!
JOSH: Well how can I trust her? How do I know she won't go back and do it again?
IMOGEN: Because all she wants is to be with you, you loser. Who knows why!
JOSH: Can we just not talk about this?
IMOGEN: She won't speak to me!
JOSH: So she won't speak to you because you've been interfering, and now you're interfering again?
IMOGEN: I'm just trying to put things right!
JOSH: It's still interfering!
Josh wanders off, leaving Imogen alone. She quickly reaches for a jar of biscuits, and starts shoving handfuls of them into her mouth.
Lassiter's Complex
Sonya and Toadie are walking along with Nell, when Robbo rocks up, accusing Toadie of having gotten him fired from his job. Toadie admits he spoke to the courts about him being placed so close to a witness in his case - and isn't particularly sad that Robbo has been sacked. Neither's Sonya, who tells Robbo he shouldn't be anywhere near them. He asks them to give him a schedule of their movements so he can keep his distance in future.
SONYA: You think you're smart and you think you're clever, but you're not.
ROBBO: Well we'll have to work something out for when I'm found innocent, and I get to hang around for good.
TOADIE: That's not going to happen.
ROBBO: You reckon? I'm just a guy from the wrong side of the tracks trying to make good. And you? You're just the money lawyer trying to keep me down.
Robbo tells them he's a victim of the system - a society that won't give him a chance - and although he's smirking at times, it feels as if part of him means what he's saying. Toadie tells him everyone knows what he's up to, and he and Sonya walk home, leaving Robbo looking annoyed.
Lassiter's (reception)
Mason gets a text from Robbo, saying: "I'm waiting for my money." A guest, Mrs Harrison, comes in, saying she needs to store some jewellery in the hotel safe. He gives her some forms to fill in, and looks pensively at the necklace she hands him - as if he's thinking it might offer a quick way of getting Robbo his cash.
