Ramsay Street
Early in the morning, Amber is waiting for Josh to leave the house, and gives him a good- morning kiss. She's decided she's accompanying him to training, and Josh looks worried. He tells her he doesn't want to get distracted, and says he needs to keep swimming separate from the rest of his life. Amber looks disappointed. Karl jogs over, interrupting their conversation, and telling Josh that Susan wants to see him at school later about his training schedule. Josh kisses Amber goodbye, and tells her he'll text her later.

Lassiter's (Paul's room)
Kate has dropped by as Paul is having breakfast. He quips about suing the Turners for how bad the food was last night, but Kate is not amused; she tells him he needs to apologise to Lauren and Matt for being so rude to them last night. She says if he keeps antagonising the Turners it will compromise her relationship with Mason, but Paul's having none of it; he says Matt's the one who should be apologising given all the things he was saying about him, and that Paul's being the better man by not suing him for defamation! But Kate turns on the emotional blackmail, and begs Paul to apologise, as a favour to her.

No 32 (garden)
At the Turners', Mason is having a similar conversation with Matt, begging him to apologise to Paul. He explains about the argument he had with Kate, and says if he can let bygones be bygones with Paul, then Matt should be able to as well.

MATT: This is exactly why Paul Robinson keeps getting away with murder. No- one ever holds him accountable.
Mason says the bottom line is that he wants to be with Kate, and asks him to 'suck it up' for both of their sakes.

No 22
Amber fills in Imogen on Josh's refusal to let her come to training with him, and Imogen isn't remotely surprised. She thinks Amber isn't going to be able to see enough of Josh for it to be worth them having a relationship, but Amber says they'll make it work - pointing out that she's seeing him later today.

Josh comes in from his morning training, and kisses Amber. He's just come back for a shower before he heads off for a strategy meeting with Don. While Amber takes a phone call from Lauren, Imogen warns Josh that he needs to stop building up Amber's hopes, telling him he needs to be honest with her about Don's demand that he dump her. Imogen thinks Josh and Amber are both deluded, but Josh says he'll make it work.

Erinsborough Hospital
Ajay brings Georgia a massive bunch of flowers to thank her for filling in for Karl. He explains that Sheila wants the band to have a regular gig, but with Georgia as the lead singer. Georgia feels as if she would be stealing Karl's thunder and doesn't seem comfortable with the idea, but Ajay promises to talk to Karl and convince him. However, Georgia insists she couldn't do that to Karl.

Harold's Store
Paul comes in and immediately begins antagonising Brad about the fifth star he caused Lassiter's to lose.

PAUL: Ah, Brad - here to downgrade another business, are you?
LAUREN: Can I get you a coffee or are you just here to harass my customers?

Actually, Paul's here to give her the monthly rental statement, which he does. Then he notices Karl sitting at one of the tables, and saunters over to break the news that Sheila wants to give The Right Prescription a regular gig at Charlie's - with Georgia as lead singer. Karl is furious, and Paul relishes every moment.

At a table outside, Josh sits down with Don Cotter and one of his other star swimmers, Hudson Walsh. We learn that Hudson has a three- year sponsorship deal with the West Waratah Star - and Don says similar deals will be coming through for Josh if he plays his cards right. Josh says he's willing to work for it, but is suddenly distracted as Amber walks towards them. He excuses himself and rushes off to talk to her before she approaches, saying his meeting's still going but that they can meet after school. Amber agrees, and goes to kiss Josh - but he pulls away, as Don's still watching. When he gets back to the table, Don says he thought Josh had dumped Amber.

JOSH: I have. I told her it was over but she's turned into a psycho. It's like she's stalking me.
DON: Well that's not the kind of distraction you need.
JOSH: I know. I just went over and told her again to leave me alone. I reckon I got through to her this time.
DON: Hmm.

Lassiter's (Paul's room)
Terese storms in, complaining about the dead foliage in the foyer - and the fact she can't replace it because Paul has cut the flower budget by fifty dollars. She says it's compromising their efforts to gain the fifth star, but Paul points out they'd already have it if it wasn't for Brad.

TERESE: Brad had nothing to do with the flower budget.

Paul tells Terese to get on with her job, and stop hassling him, but she tells him she's sick of Paul making her job difficult; she's convinced he cut the flower budget just to rile her. He insists the funds have been redirected elsewhere, and she'll just have to find a way around it. Terese looks furious.

PAUL: You still here?

Terese stomps out, and Paul smiles smugly.

Harold's Store
Lauren rushes over to tell Matt and Mason that Paul has reduced her rent by - you guessed it - fifty dollars per week. Lauren's thrilled, but Matt's appalled; saying Paul thinks he can solve everything by throwing his money around. Lauren's nonetheless happy to take the rent cut, and tells Matt to tone down his ire towards Paul. But Matt isn't happy that his family have been thus corrupted, and heads back to work.

Amber comes in, saying she and Josh have a date this afternoon, and asks Lauren and Mason if they have any tips on what she can organise - given she has no money and not much time. Lauren recalls that Mason took Kate on a picnic for their first date, and Amber likes the sound of that idea.

Erinsborough Hospital
Karl tells Georgia that Lucas should be able to go home in a couple of days - but there's something aloof in his manner. When she asks him to fill in some papers for her, Karl completely jumps down her throat, telling Georgia she's not doing her job properly. However, it quickly becomes clear that he's angry about the band, and Georgia usurping him as lead singer. Georgia insists that she turned down Ajay's proposal, and Karl thaws a little towards her - but instead gets mad that Ajay was going to let it happen. He stomps off.

Lassiter's (Paul's room)
Matt turns up to confront Paul, telling him to stop trying to buy off Lauren. Paul's incredulous that reducing Lauren's rent on Harold's is being seen as some kind of problem, but Matt says he knows what Paul's up to, and says they don't want the cut. Paul openly admits that the reduction was a peace offering for Kate's sake, and Matt relents and says he will accept it - but only for Lauren's sake - and says the next time Paul puts a foot out of line, he'll be there.

Lassiter's (outside)
Brad is on his tablet, looking for jobs. Josh sits down to join him, but they're soon interrupted by a call from Don, who asks Josh to come and meet him straight away, as he's organised a publicity photoshoot. Brad offers to give Josh a lift back to the pool. Terese comes out, hoping to join them for a coffee, but they have to scoot.

Harold's Store
Terese comes in for coffee and cake. Lauren explains about the fifty- dollar rent reduction, and Terese realises that's where her flower budget has gone. Lauren's apologetic, but Terese says it's not Lauren's fault - it's just frustrating the way Paul does things.

TERESE: But hey - maybe this proves that there really is a nice guy in there, just trying to get out.

Lassiter's Lake
Amber is setting up a banquet of a picnic for Josh, and texts him.

Aquatic Centre
Outside, Josh has finished the photoshoot - but Don and Hudson suddenly emerge from the building. Don explains the photos didn't turn out quite right, so says he'll have to come back in and do it all over again. Josh is worried, as he's late for his date with Amber - but he can't tell Don that, so he says he needs to call his mum and let her know he won't be home for dinner. Don goes back inside, and Josh texts Amber.

Lassiter's Lake
Amber is disappointed to receive a text from Josh - "Sorry, held up at pool. Can't make it" - and packs up the picnic angrily.

No 28
Ajay arrives to see Karl, who just turns around and points to his own back.

KARL: Right there. See that? Right there.
AJAY: What, you want a massage?
KARL: That's where you stabbed me in the back.

He lays into Ajay for trying to replace him with Georgia as lead singer in his own band. Karl is furious, saying he can't make that kind of decision without consulting him, but Ajay tries to explain that it's the only way the band is going to get a regular gig. He tells Karl to think about it, and let him know.

Aquatic Centre
Amber arrives to look for Josh, but Don spots her immediately and tells her she's making a fool of herself by stalking him.

AMBER: Yeah, not sure where you got that one from - considering he is my boyfriend.
DON: This is why he ended things with you in the first place. Just accept it with some dignity, and leave him alone.
AMBER: Ended things? Is that what he told you?

Don leaves, and Amber looks crushed. Shortly afterwards, Josh comes out of the building and apologises for missing the picnic.

AMBER: Oh, better not get too close. I don't want to be accused of stalking you. Oh no wait - that already happened.

She demands to know why Don thinks they've split up, and Josh explains Don told him he had to if he was serious about his career. He says he would have cut any other girl loose, but that the thought of losing Amber kills him.

AMBER: Was that supposed to make me feel special? Because it didn't.
JOSH: This is my whole life we're talking about. Ever since I can remember I've only wanted one thing.
AMBER: Yeah, to win gold for Australia. I know that.
JOSH: Isn't that what you like about me? That I'm so focused and so driven?
AMBER: I really thought that it was. But not enough to be another guy's little secret. I have been there, done that.
JOSH: But it's...
AMBER: No, Josh! I'm sorry - this isn't going to work.

Josh looks gutted.

Monday on Neighbours
- Josh tells Imogen that Amber will come crawling back when he wins gold
- Don warns Amber to stop distracting Josh, or she'll ruin his swimming career
