- Sheila telling Rhiannon to go get a job.
- Paul setting Rhiannon up with a job.
Rhiannon is telling her housemates about her new job for Paul – as a sales assistant for the Eclipse apartments. Sheila tries to suggest that isn't quite what Paul meant but it isn't sinking in!
Kyle's tux arrives for the hospital ball and Sheila suggests tying it on and showing it off to Georgia on the pretence of asking what time he's got to pick her up.
Ajay is going through Priya's belongings and hoped to have it gone before Rani came home from school but she arrives as he's still in the middle of it and volunteers to help him get the stuff ready for the Salvo's, telling him she's got nothing else on.
Oops because Toadie confirms with Callum that he's got his date with Rani this evening! Toadie winds his son up over his date and Cal can't escape quickly enough!
Cal drops round to collect Rani of their date and she seems to be either blanking it from her mind or now doesn't want to go as she totally avoids talking about it, so much so that Cal agrees to help her sort her mum's things.
Paul returns an item of Priya's to Ajay that has fallen on the street as he's filling up his car. His thanks though is a warning not to talk (to Ajay) about Priya ever again! Ajay comments on the workmen visiting #22 and wonders when he's moving into his apartments. Paul replies that the council are holding that up and is encouraged to do everything in his power to make that happen… because nobody, especially Ajay, wants him in the street!
Karl has brought over an old computer that can read floppy discs (Rani found one in her mum's belongings) and when they check to see what is on it, discover a play that Priya wrote when she was Rani's age. Cal then tries his best to get rid of Karl, but instead he volunteers to help them to get the job done quicker.
Toadie and Georgia are working on her defence when Kyle drops round all decked out in his tux. Georgia explains that while the investigation is ongoing, she doesn't want to go to the ball.
Kyle is very down in the dumps when he returns home but Rhiannon encourages him to do something else for Georgia.
Karl and Cal have finished sorting things up and the youngster tries to get rid of his elder but Karl wants to know about the play that Priya wrote. Rani explains that it's a love triangle play and Karl ‘removes' Cal from the house (despite his protests) so she can read through what is written.
Ajay/Toadie/Georgia are working on her defence when she gets a text from Kyle asking her to come over wearing a blindfold and not to fall over! Toadie literally forces his cousin out of the house with orders to enjoy as his depressed son enters the house. Ajay is surprised to hear that Cal was supposed to have been on a date with Rani and wishes he'd known.
Toadie then gets an email from Carol asking him to a meeting tonight to discuss Georgia's contract.
Paul introduces Rhiannon to Allan Hewitt and he likes what he sees… almost looking at her as if he was buying a piece of meat! Rhiannon moans to Paul about being felt up when he sends Allan to the bar for drinks but he tells her to look in it as a compliment! “I'm not that kind of girl!” she protests and Paul's retort is to offer her more money (she's now getting $1000) moments before Allan returns with a $200 bottle of champers that Paul is picking up the tab for.
Kyle leads Georgia safely into #26 where he's created a very intimate table for 2 – the house is in darkness, lit only by candles and the light being reflected from a disco ball. “Wow,” she says on taking off the blindfold and Kyle explains that since she didn't want to go to the ball, he brought it to her.
KYLE: And you needed cheering up. And I kind of like you!
Georgia wants to rush home and change but he stops her and instead places a tiara on her head… all that is required to be the bell of his ball. Her phone then starts ringing and she wants to answer it, but Kyle tells her not to, he wants this dance (at least) with her.
Toadie leave a voicemail for Georgia bringing her up to speed on what is happening.
Georgia is over the moon with what Kyle has done.
Kyle/Georgia decide to take a drink break from dancing and during it, she goes to check her phone and discovers she's got a few texts – the first is telling her she's won something in the raffle (a spa!) and suggests since there is no room for it at #30, that they put it next to Sheila's veggie patch, that way she can use it whenever she wants. Kyle is a bit hesitant to accept it but she sells it to him. She sees that Toadie has called her too but doesn't want to interrupt the ambiance to call him back.
Rani is telling her dad all about the play and he's curious to see what happened in the end but there is no ending, Priya didn't finish it. He mentions her date with Cal and then it dawns on her that was supposed to happen but she explains that she was enjoying being connected to her mum to remember about it.
Rani and Cal belatedly get their date underway and he explains what their plans would have been. Karl interrupts them again and asks about the play and Rani tells him about it and that she'd like to finish it and put it on. He thinks that is a great idea and Cal quickly says to count him in too. Karl decides to strike while the iron is hot (much to Cal's annoyance) and goes to get a drink so he can join them and talk about the play.
Allan is asking Rhiannon if she's ready for the next course, hint hint, and that they can go up to one of the hotel bedrooms. She tells Allan where to go and Paul comes rushing over and is subtly told to convince Rhiannon to change her mind while he goes to the bar to get more drinks in.
PAUL: I thought we had a deal?
RHIANNON: You said flirt! This is not how we flirt in Mount Isa!
Paul explains to her that all he is after is a photo of Allan handcuffed and she is aghast (when she puts 2+2 together) over what Paul's plan was all along. Allan returns with another bottle of champers, hoping that things have been sorted out, and Rhiannon takes the champers from him and leaves the bar telling him to enjoy room service while she has the champers at home alone!
Georgia is enjoying her perfect date with Kyle and just as they reach the pashing stage, Toadie bursts into the house. He tells her about the meeting he was at and that she's been fired!
