Amber is doing homework at the kitchen table. She takes out a small jewellery box from her bag and looks inside it thoughtfully. She hides it as soon as she hears her mum laughing as Lauren and Mason return from shopping. Lauren suggests that she takes Amber on a shopping trip to get some new clothes, because she appreciates the effort that Amber is making in Erinsborough. Mason gets a text and leaves, saying he has to stop by the garage.
Mason meets Robbo in his shiny purple van, pleased to see him. Robbo says that after speaking to Mason he decided to take Mason up on his offer. Mason tells Robbo he doesn't have his share of the cash, Robbo says that's fine, he's happy to wait. It was his fault for panicking and chucking it in Lauren's car. He's sorry that Mason went down for it. He thought Mason's dad would let him off with it just like he did with Bailey. Mason says that Bailey is still mad at Robbo, and Bailey thinks he was behind the break in a few weeks ago. Robbo laughs and says he didn't even know they were in Erinsborough until Mason called. Robbo suggests they go to find some chicks and he and Mason hug.
Rhys collects the mail. He looks at the senders address on one letter which he immediately places in the bin. Sheila arrives and tells them that she's moving out into one of the new apartments, it's not right for her to be living with three blokes. She needs a place of her own.
RHYS: Well we'll be sad to see you again, but you know you have my blessing. (Rhys leaves)
SHEILA: I'll miss Doctor Crank the least
Sheila puts a bottle in the bin, finding the letter. It's from an Eddie Lawson, Rhys' dad. Kyle tells Sheila not to ask, it's Rhys' business. Sheila sends Kyle out with the rubbish, hiding the letter behind her back.
Andrew is talking to Matt and Lauren about buying one of the Eclipse Apartments. Lauren likes the idea but Matt isn't too keen. Andrew suggests they shop around before making a deposit, Matt says he's starting to think there's something suss about the place. Andrew says he's just looking out for them because they're neighbours
Kyle bumps into Rhys and tells him that Sheila found a letter from his dad. Kyle thinks he should find out why his dad is getting in touch. Rhys says he doesn't want to hear anything from his dad, he doesn't exist to him.
Mason is resting on a bench when Lucas walks past. Mason asks for an advance on his pay, admitting that he owes his mate money. Lucas says he can't give him an advance. He advises Mason not to look at shortcuts to get money and that maybe he should get a second job.
Vanessa tells Lucas that Toadie's back is still giving him grief.
LUCAS: That's a shame. I was looking forward to seeing him moonwalk again.
VANESSA: Stop it.
LUCAS: I wonder if the insurance covers really bad dancing.
Lou asks Lucas how Mason is getting on. Lucas says he seems to be a good worker, but he's just an apprentice and it's too soon to give him anything big. Vanessa passes Lucas his coffee while doing a moonwalk, Lou is rather bewildered by seeing it.
Tash is looking online at places to go for a special meal to celebrate Andrew selling his first apartment, but Andrew is lost in thought.
TASH: Okay, but I'm going to have to trade you in for a new boyfriend if you don't drop the sad act.
Andrew admits that they don't have approval for any of the development. He hasn't told Sheila, he's going to wait for council approval. Tash asks if Sheila can back out, but apparently after a 3 day cooling off period she can't back out of the contract, and she'll lose her deposit. Tash says he has to tell Sheila.
Andrew asks Sheila if she's sure it is the right move, can she really afford this purchase? She says she can as long as she has a job. Andrew says her job is safe but she should think through all her possibilities while she can still back out of the contract. Sheila thinks that someone else has offered him more money.
SHEILA: I'm not backing out. So just quit trying to bamboozle me with your reverse psychology garbage!
Andrew walks in, but Sheila angrily turns away from him. Lou tells Mason he's really pleased that he's getting on so well at the garage. Mason leaves Lou and approaches Andrew, asking for a job at Charlie's. Andrew says they're fully staffed but there is always casual waiter work at Lassiters. Mason wonders if Andrew can put in a good word for him. Andrew agrees to call the manager just now.
Sheila notes to Lou that Mason's quite a go- getter. Lou tells her he's really lucky to have Lauren back, it can be a lonely world without family.
Mason's looking at his budget, planning repayments. He tells Bailey that Robbo is here, but he plans to pay Robbo off so he leaves quickly. Bailey wonders why Robbo tossed the money in their car after the robbery. Bailey thinks the only way Robbo could have gotten out so quickly is if he bolted the second that he tripped the alarm, he thinks Robbo set them up. Mason disagrees, saying Robbo just bolted when he heard the alarm, like anyone would have done.
BAILEY: He conned you and it wrecked our family. Are you seriously going to let him suck you in again?
Bailey storms off.
Kyle tells Sheila that Rhys doesn't want to know his dad. Sheila takes out the letter and says they should do something, Rhys could be making a mistake and he needs them to look out for him. Rhys arrives home to hear Sheila reading the letter aloud. Rhys confronts Sheila. Sheila tells Rhys he should listen to what his father has to say, he just wants to make amends. Rhys tells her she knows nothing about his family and she should butt out, scrunching up the letter as he leaves.
Rhys looks through a group of photos of him and his mum, and also finds one of his dad, looking at it thoughtfully. Meanwhile, Tash asks Andrew if he's told Sheila about the apartments. Andrew says he tried to get her to think twice about it, but he hasn't told anyone about the approval.
TASH: You tell Paul that you can't keep taking people's deposits until you warn them about losing their money.
ANDREW: I can't do that
TASH: Oh, I'm sorry. I mistook you for someone who actually has a spine.
ANDREW: He's given me a chance to prove myself and I want to do that.
TASH: By ripping people off? How does that prove anything?
Andrew trusts his dad to get the approval. Tash says if this doesn't go through it will be on his conscience.
Mason assures Robbo that he'll get his money to him fairly quickly. He's got the money thing sorted so Robbo won't have to hang around ‘this dump' for very long. Robbo wonders if Mason is trying to get rid of him. Mason says that Matt won't be happy when he learns Robbo is in town. Robbo insists he can look after himself, and he wants to stay in Erinsborough. Mason says that's great, but he looks very worried.
Lou finds Matt and Amber sitting at home. Matt shows Lou the apartments that he and Lauren are looking at. Lou tells Matt that Lucas is pleased with how Mason is getting on, and that Mason has gone to get a second job at Lassiters. Meanwhile Amber gets a phone call from someone, agreeing to meet them. She opens the jewellery box and takes out a silver necklace before sneaking out.
Amber puts on her necklace before Robbo sneaks up on her, kissing her. Amber is surprised to see him. She says he didn't respond to any of her texts and she thought he'd dumped her. Robbo says he hadn't, he just got a new phone. They kiss again.
