This week on Neighbours
- Paul intent on taking action against Chris.
- Susan looking to address the work/life balance.
- Paul not impressed with Andrew.
Previously on Neighbours
- Chris determined to win Aidan back.
- Sophie's hospital room being given a makeover.
- Karl asking the teens to give Andrew some slack.
At last we can see why Andrew has been wearing a beanie lately – he's had his hair cut short although when he comes downstairs for breakfast it looks like he's been out all night, so much so that Kate remarks on it. He plays down how rough he looks and the fact he's having another funny turn from his family.
Andrew runs into Tash as he exits his house and is after her to open up this morning because he isn't feeling great but she refuses, telling him that is his job.
Sophie is feeling very down at the moment and wants home but Paul tells her that she needs to stay in to do the rehab so she can get out. She then pleads to do the physio as a day patient but he again turns her request down, telling her she's just got to be patient and tries to give her a pep talk. That doesn't appease Sophie, so she literally begs him to be allowed home and Paul concedes this time to go ask someone.
Paul exits her room to go looking for a doctor and finds Karl. He, well the physio, is happy with the progress Sophie is making but she isn't ready to leave just yet but does offer an option – he's recommending Paul sends her to Sydney to a rehab centre there which caters for teenagers. Paul is very reluctant to send her away but Karl feels it's in Sophie's best interests for him to at least consider it.
Summer convinces Chris to stop making himself miserable looking at Aidan's Facebook profile! Reluctantly he closes her laptop and leaves to try and figure out his next move.
Chris now relocates himself to Charlie's to bend Tash's ear about Aidan! Her tuppenceworth is to convince Aidan that what happened in the past won't be repeated. She also suggests something bold and as they chat and you can see light bulbs going off in Chris' head.
As Andrew clears up a table he has another funny turn. He thinks he's managed to cover it up but unfortunately for him, Aidan appears and knows exactly what his happening with him. “Your epilepsy isn't going to miraculously disappear,” he reminds Andrew and that he can't handle it without medication. Andrew tells him about how he's managing the symptoms to minimise the risk to himself/others. “But you're harming yourself,” Aidan tells him.
AIDAN: Andrew, you need medication.
Andrew then thinks one prescription cures all and so Aidan explains things to him but again Andrew refuses to go because it means his dad will find out.
Tash comments on the new lights being installed and Andrew passes it off as just a change because of new owners. Despite the strobe lights being removed, he has another funny turn when the installers are trying out the lights and this time it's noticed by Tash because some glasses fall into the sink. He tries to shift the blame onto Tash for the glasses being there in the first place before making a beeline to the exit as Tash mutters that she wishes Kate was still the manager!
Paul is surprised to see Andrew home so he uses the excuse that the bar is quiet and he's got some work to do on his computer. He then discusses with his son what Karl is suggesting for Sophie and Andrew is all for it and even manages to convince Paul to go with her too!
When Paul leaves to go discuss things with Kate, Andrew gets out his phone to call Aidan to book himself in to get himself sorted out. Aidan doesn't think it can be arranged so soon but when Andrew explains that this is his only shot, Aidan replies that he'll get it sorted at his end.
Kate and Paul are trying to convince Sophie to go to Sydney for rehab but she wants to go home not to Sydney. “Please don't make me,” she begs. Kate tells her that Harry will be able to visit her and Paul reassures her that he'll be a regular visitor too and then adds in that their flight is already booked. “I don't want to go,” Sophie yells out but the decision has been made – she is going!
Tash and Summer are curious to know what Chris is planning to do to get Aidan back but he's keeping quiet. Sum quizzes him if he's doing it for the right reasons and he vehemently replies that he is.
Aidan and a colleague are leaving the hospital when Chris approaches him. He's offering Aidan an alternative date (he's planning on meeting the colleague at Harold's) by recreating their first one at the side of the hospital! He's even got lunch covered too, a turkey salad wrap, meaning Aidan has no excuse but to join in.
The pair of them are having a great time playing mini golf even if Aidan is getting beat again. While they are having a ball, Aidan makes it clear that he doesn't want to go through with the hassles they had the last time but Chris is quick to say things will be different this time. Despite the heartfelt words/plea, Aidan makes it clear that he's happy for them to having out as mates but that is as far as it goes.
Andrew makes his excuses to get away from the house but Kate wants his help to sort the DVD player before he goes, despite Andrew trying to tell her he doesn't have the time.
Karl is surprised to see Paul at the hospital as he thought he was in Sydney. Paul explains that since he was getting the silent treatment, there wasn't much point hanging around and will go back at the weekend. He asks Karl for some papers that are required for insurance/the court case and Karl asks him to take a seat.
Thankfully for Andrew, it was something simple that was wrong with the DVD player, so he quickly says bye and leaves the house.
Paul is still waiting for the papers from Karl as we head into the final break.
Andrew arrives for his appointment and literally runs into his dad who is leaving the hospital! Both are surprised to see each other and Paul explains why he's back early then asks Andrew why he is there. Andrew lies and says Sophie texted him to pick some stuff up she left, but Paul has already got the stuff (some magazines it appears) and asks if Andrew is coming. He stands there mentally debating what he should do and eventually he follows his father.
