Rhys looks suddenly determined and gets up...
Rhys arrives at the hospital and asks the nurse at reception for his test results. She asks if he wants her to call Karl. He says he wants to go over the details himself in case he's missed something. Rhys sits down to read the report.
Jade is playing with Jellyfish's shoes, and says she's going to be an Olympic athlete.
SONYA: What happened to letting her be whoever she's gonna be?
Jade suggests and mimes various sports Jellyfish could do. Sonya (joking) suggests weightlifting, and Jade says she's glad it's a girl. Sonya is smiling and Jade asks her what's up. Sonya says that maybe she shouldn't say, but she and Toadie have talked about it and agreed: they want her to be Jellyfish's godmother. Jade repeats "godmother" and Sonya says she doesn't qualify for godfather. Jade thinks it's a bit soon, which Sonya refutes. Then Jade says that Sonya and Toadie aren't religious. Sonya says it just means she's involved in the baby's life. Jade says she's no good with babies, and Sonya says it's family. Jade says she's already her aunt, so why does she need more. Sonya says it's a symbol, and means that Jade is the second most important woman in her life. Jade shrugs it off and says she has to go to work. Sonya is annoyed and wants an answer. Jade says to ask someone else, which Sonya doesn't want. Jade says she can't do it.
Callum and Rani are walking along talking about the cricket earlier. Rani doesn't sound too happy. He says he thought that today was fun. Rani wonders if he's including the bit where Ajay broke Toadie's windscreen. Callum says that it wasn't fun, but it was cool. He provides sound effects, but Rani is impassive. He asks if she is worried about it - and says it's their problem - but she replies she is thinking about Sophie. They are enjoying themselves and Sophie is barely awake. Callum points out that she is improving, and asks if Rani wants to go and see her. Rani says she hates seeing Sophie like that - it makes her feel hopeless. She adds that she wishes should could do something to help. Callum says he'll think about something they can do together to help.
Rhys comes in to find Vanessa cooking. She asks where he's been and tells him how worried she's been. He cuts her off, saying he's been for a run. She asks about his results, and how many months until he's better.
RHYS: Try never. My hand's stuffed.
Vanessa questions this as they had previously said he would be OK. Rhys says he's seen the results himself. Even in the best case scenario, there is only a 5% chance of regaining full dexterity. Vanessa points out that 5% is not nothing. He says he knows what 5% means. She tells him to stay positive and do the rehab... He interrupts her and says that rehab is no use if you want to do surgery. She tells him to try. He says there's no point - it's over. He tells her to go, and she tells him he should eat. He says he's not hungry and repeats that she should go and walks off.
Susan hears Vanessa shouting in the kitchen. Vanessa comes out, apologising to the customers, and tells Susan that she's had a disagreement with the juicer. Susan asks her if she's OK. Vanessa tells that Rhys might have to give up surgery. There's still a chance, though, but he's refusing to do the rehab. Susan thinks it's ridiculous. Vanessa explains that Rhys says there's no point, and he won't talk about it.
VANESSA: How can I help him if he doesn't even want me around?
Susan offers to call in and talk to him. They agree it's worth trying as Rhys respects Susan.
Andrew (wearing The Hat™) asks Callum and Rani why they need Sophie's iPod. Callum explains that they want to make Sophie a playlist, but they don't have the music she likes. Rani assures him they won't need it for long. Andrew says it won't be much use to them. Callum guesses that Sophie had it on her when they crashed. Andrew confirms this, and says that Paul is getting her a new one. He goes off to get drinks. Rani says she keeps thinking about what the crash would have been like, always in slow motion. Callum tells her she's not stupid. Rani says that she's never known anyone involved in an accident. Callum assures her that Sophie will be fine. He tells her to focus on the good stuff. Rani says they can't even make the playlist, but Callum says they can, just a different one. Andrew watches them from by the fridge. Rani points out that Sophie hates their music. Callum says that a playlist of music she hates will make her want to leave hospital quicker. Andrew says he has stuff to make her laugh. Callum is enthusiastic. and suggests recording commentary between each track. Rani looks on affectionately.
Jade is talking to a client when Kyle walks in. He asks why she doesn't want to be godmother. He and Sonya are both confused. She tells him to stay out of it and starts to leave. Kyle tells her Sonya is freaked out by her refusal. He asks if she is scared. She looks down, and he asks what she's scared of. When he presses her, she says that when Sonya asked her, she froze because she thought about what godparents are for. Buying expensive presents, says Kyle. Jade starts to explain and Kyle realises that Jade is worried about something happening to Sonya. He tries to reassure her. Jade says that Kyle doesn't know what's going to happen. The situation with Troy made her realise that she didn't want to lose Sonya, the only family she's got. Kyle hugs her.
Callum thanks Andrew for the tracks. Andrew thinks that Sophie will like them. Rani asks if he's sure about using his iPod, but Callum says he'll get it back when Sophie gets his new one. Rani suggests putting a ribbon round it to make it a proper present. They look at Andrew.
ANDREW: Do I look like the type of guy that just has ribbon lying around?
Rani obviously thinks not, because she leaves to get some. Callum says he'll go round when he's finished. Andrew tells Callum his points are through the roof. Callum is puzzled and Andrew says he's pleased that something good has come from the situation. Callum is still not with it, and Andrew tells him Rani was very impressed with him. Cal says he wasn't trying to impress her. Andrew says that he did - she was looking at him with "those big cartoon eyes". Callum looks pleased with himself.

Jade is leading a boot camp. They finish and Kyle turns up with Bossy. She asks him if he's come to change her mind about being godmother. Kyle tells her he knows she was alone for a long time, but it's different now. It's not just Sonya who loves her. There's Toadie, Callum, Bossy and him, so she's not alone. And despite the stupid name, Jellyfish is lucky because she'll always have a cool aunt. Kyle asks if they should go and accept Sonya's offer, since he accidentally put together a winning argument. Jade laughs and kisses him.
Sonya asks Jade how work went, while Kyle eats cookies. Jade says it was good to have time to think and if the offer still stands she would love to be godmother. Sonya squeals and they hug. Kyle says he presumes the offer is still open! Sonya says nobody else could do it.
KYLE: (mimicking Michael Corleone) "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in."
Jade groans. Kyle does another impression, which Jade (rightly) tells him is an incorrect quote and the worst impression. Sonya asks why he was quoting The Godfather. Kyle asks for the correct quote. Jade supplies the correct quote (and probably beats Kyle in the worst impression stakes). Kyle is annoyed at misquoting his favourite movie, although Jade points out that she thought that was "Happy Gilmour". Sonya starts to say something about the godfather and godmother, but Kyle is continuing with his impressions, and Jade is laughing at him. Sonya is staring at them. Kyle promises they will be perfected by the time the baby arrives, and he will be the best godfather ever.
Rhys is on the couch, ignoring the knocking at the door. Then Susan starts shouting that she won't go away until he answers. He sighs, gets up and opens the door. Susan rubs her knuckles and thanks him. He asks if Karl told her. She said it was Vanessa, because she was worried. Rhys says he doesn't need a pity party. Susan says she's come to give him a kick up the bum. She asks him if he remembers what he said when she had her MS relapse. He says that's completely different. He tries to get her to leave, but she refuses. Then she says that with her MS, she can't do anything and she's stuck with it, whereas he can do something about his hand. He points out there's a 95% chance he can't do anything. Susan scoffs. She lists his achievements and asks what where the chances of those. He says he didn't get into surgery at first. She points out that he fought and cheated to get onto that, so where's his fight gone? She says that at first she was surprised he wasn't going to do rehab, but then she realised he'd had to accept he wasn't invincible, so he was giving up without trying. She tells him he has the qualities to be in the 5% if he wants to be.
From outside Charlie's, Rhys is watching Vanessa working outside Harold's. He walks over and tells her that Susan had dropped by. He says he's going to try rehab. She's pleased, but he interrupts to say he has to be straight with her. She looks worried. He says it will take a lot of time and he won't have room for anything else. He's telling her because he'll need her help. She laughs, and he's puzzled. She explains that she thought he was going to ditch her. She says she'll be supportive and pushy. She's sure he can do this and they hug. Rhys doesn't look so confident.
