Hospital
Aidan valiantly tries to stop the summoned security guards from throwing Chris out of Sophie's room but Paul has had a change of heart after seeing Chris break down and calls them off. Just as he does that, Chris exits the room anyway, and thanks Paul before exiting.

Charlie's
Ed gets a very warm welcome from Tash when he enters the bar. He spots Andrew sitting at a table, wondering what he's doing there and Tash sarcastically replies, "hopefully chocking on his food!" In fact he's checking the mail and in particular his bank statement which is looking very healthy thanks to the cheque although it looks like he's having some trouble focusing on the figure. Tash spots the figure when she goes to collect his plate and can't but help dish up a serve to him!

Garage
Andrew comes calling looking for Chris and Lucas informs him that Chris is in court. He asks if he can wait for Chris and Lucas says that is fine.

(Later)

Chris is back from court and tells Lucas his punishment - an $800 fine and that his licence has been suspended for 6 months. Lucas is reassuring him that they will work something out when Andrew appears from inside saying that there must be some sort exemption for him given where he works. Chris initially doesn't want anything to do with him but when Andrew apologises and promises to fix it, he softens.

As Chris chats to him about what happened at court, Andrew has another funny turn where he finds it hard to focus/keep his concentration. Chris eventually realises he's lost his audience and isn't amused he's being ignored as he unloads, walks away telling Andrew that he "isn't worth it."

Hospital
Priya drops by with a card and some flowers from Sophie's class for her. Aidan comes out of her room after doing his checks to say that Sophie is awake and Paul can't get in there quick enough!

He kisses her fondly on the head and then as she keeps apologising, tells her that she is in hospital and that she should rest. Sophie continues to talk though, and makes it clear that it's her fault.

Charlie's
Jade and Kyle are surprised to see Kate in working, when they pop into the bar. She explains that she'd rather not be at work but she's the manager so has to be. Her demeanour changes totally though when she gets a call from Paul to say Sophie is awake and rushes out of the bar.

Lassiters complex
Summer is either in a rush or is shunning Andrew as she walks through the complex. He calls her name and she stops but doesn't say anything and he lets her continue and once he does so, the funny turn is back. Initially he misses Kate telling him the good news but when she calls his name a second time, he manages to refocus clearly but still looks rather freaked out as we head into the first commercial break.

Hospital
Andrew and Kate arrive just as Sophie is being checked over. Paul leads Kate over to wait by her door and Andrew takes the opportunity to subtly quiz Aidan over what could be wrong with him following his concussion. Aidan explains that his concussion symptoms should be getting less severe now but emphasises that if they aren't, he must say, so that a doctor can check him out. Just at that, Paul comes over to take Andrew into see Sophie, Aidan calls him back to ask if he is okay and Andrew replies back that he is but Aidan is still concerned.

(Later)

Kate comes out of Sophie's room to have a coffee with Paul. She is surprised he doesn't seem too happy that Soph is awake so he explains that he's looking on it as being a long recovery... and isn't dropping the case against Chris. Kate tries to stick up for Chris but its falling on deaf ears, Paul isn't budging.

KATE: Just drop the case so that everyone can try and move on.

(Later)

Kate exits Sophie's room, ready to go back to work for a bit before going home. She chats with Aidan for a bit and he's encouraged that Sophie waking up means they can prepare for her rehab now. In turn, Kate thanks him for all the assistance he's provided lately to them.

Number 22
Paul welcomes Jade and Kyle to his house. Jade hands him a card with a recommendation for a physiotherapist for Sophie and Kyle is round to offer his services to help install things that will help Sophie when she leaves hospital (even if it may only be temporary). Paul hadn't really given that part much thought and it dawns on him for instance how much of the house is upstairs including Sophie's bedroom. Kyle invites him down to the yard to look through some catalogues.

Garage
Chris is hesitant when he needs to start a car as to whether he can do so or not. Lucas realises that he needs some time out and gets out the basketball to shoot some hoops, which Chris eventually joins in albeit reluctantly.

Kyle and Paul arrive at the yard and when Kyle goes into the office, Paul is unaumsed to see Chris "having fun" with Lucas playing basketball.

Number 22
Paul arrives home talking to his lawyer about the civil case against Chris. Kate is not amused to find out he's still going ahead with it, even after Paul tells her about what he saw.

KATE: How does any of this helping Soph? Because it isn't really about her is it?!
PAUL: Oh don't be ridiculous.
KATE: This is just you and the way you that always have to try and get revenge.
PAUL: ...
KATE: (exasperated) You know what, fine, if you're going to do this it do it, but I'm moving on with my life.

Paul pleads that he is doing this for Sophie but is told to keep telling himself that!

PAUL: You were wrong earlier; this is starting to feel really good.

Harold's Store
Kate thanks Priya for the card and flowers when she runs into her in the store before telling her that she wants to resume her teaching career if she can do her placement at EHS. Priya reminds her of the conversation they had recently and Kate explains that what has happened lately (with Sophie), she realises that she can do more good as a teacher than working behind a bar.

PRIYA: You know it's not going to be easy.
KATE: I don't want easy.
PRIYA: I mean it Kate, you can't just bail the first time a student gives you a hard time... and you are probably going to get a hard time.
KATE: I don't want easy.

Priya seems pleased at Kate's attitude and promises to make some calls to get the ball rolling.

Number 28
As Tash/Ed prepares something to eat, Sum confesses that she is finding it hard to fathom them being together. "It's not that funny," Tash mutters as she goes to answer the door and isn't exactly welcoming of the visitor - Andrew! He pleads that he's after Karl for help but is getting a hard time from the residents, although eventually Tash holds the door open to let him enter.

Andrew asks them how they've been physically since the accident and explains what he is experiencing. Tash doesn't give him any sympathy, indeed has a go that it's not just him that suffered. Sum backs Tash up too and suggests that he goes to the hospital to get checked up before asking him not to call round any more. "I'll sort it out myself thanks," he mutters before leaving the house.

Number 22
Andrew puts his symptoms into a search engine to see what could be the matter. Lots of different possible reasons come up, everything from it being the symptoms of travel sickness to a brain tumour!

(Later)

Paul checks with Andrew that he will be in tomorrow as Kyle is coming round to measure up, and he replies that he will be. Andrew then has another funny turn as Kate tells Paul about her going back to teaching and that she wants him to drop the case against Chris. Paul spots that something is up with his son (the funny turn is over) and he replies that he is "all good," when really the truth is far from it.
