No.32
In the dark, Tash rings Chris and asks her to meet her at Charlie's in half an hour.

Charlie's
Tash, Chris and Andrew are playing pool. Andrew tells them that the Red Cotton gig is sold out.

Karl passes by and tells Tash he's heard she's staying at Chris's place tonight. Chris is confused - first he's heard of it. Tash tells him she just wanted to go out without Karl hassling her.

Harold's Store
Kate is on the phone to Erin, telling her she's jealous about her travels in Thailand. Rhys sits down with her. Kate tells him to get lost. Rhys says there's no time limit on the dare - he's going to go for it.

No.26
Rhys is studying while Jade and Kyle wonder what to have for dinner. When Jade is out of the room, Rhys tells Kyle that he and Jade should move into the same room permanently. Then they could make the third bedroom into a study.

RHYS: Don't tell me you haven't thought about it.
KYLE: It's not that easy.
RHYS: Ah. You're worried about what Jade might think.
KYLE: You know what she's like.
RHYS: I know what she *was* like, but I reckon she might have softened a bit.
KYLE:(doubtfully) Do you reckon?
RHYS: Yeah! You won't know unless you ask.
KYLE: Yeah...thanks, dude!

Rhys smirks quietly to himself.

(Later)

Kyle approaches Jade.

KYLE: I wanted to run something past you. What you think about moving in to one room?
JADE: Is this your way of worming your way into my en-suite?
KYLE: Eh?
JADE: Yeah. You move in and then try to kick me out.
KYLE: No! Well, I just figured we're in one room more of the time, anyway. And we went alright when Callum was there.
JADE: Yeah, that was one night.
KYLE: I reckon it could be good!
JADE:(flatly) No.

She calls Rhys for dinner.

KYLE: So that's it, you're shutting me down?
JADE: Yip.
KYLE: Fine, it was just an idea.

He walks off to his room. Rhys observes the tail end of their conversation, and asks Jade if everything is alright. She says it's fine.

Charlie's
Andrew leaves to go home, and Tash wants Chris to go on to a club. He is suspicious and asks her what's going on. She decides to go clubbing on her own!

No.32
Tash comes home (in the dark) and sits down. Presently, Chris comes in, having followed her home. He puts the light on and asks her what's going on, and where Michael is.

TASH:(tearfully) He's gone.
CHRIS: Gone? where?
TASH: To Serbia.
CHRIS: Well, when's he coming back?
TASH: He's *not* Chris! He left me a letter.

She shows him the letter.

TASH: He's not coming back. I told him I didn't need him anymore. I didn't think he'd actually leave!

(Later)

Chris has made them both a cup of tea and they talk about Michael. Tash berates herself for being a bad daughter, but Chris says Michael is being gutless. Anyway, she'll see him again - he's her father and will start missing her eventually(!)

TASH: What am I going to do?
CHRIS: I wouldn't have a clue.
TASH: Thanks.
CHRIS: Do you want me to stay tonight?
TASH: You don't have to.
CHRIS: But I want to.
TASH: Why, because Aidan's working?
CHRIS: I love you, Tash.

He holds her hand, supportively.

Harold's Store, the following day
Chris and Tash come in and sit down with Andrew. Tash explains to Andrew that Michael has gone and Susan overhears. She asks if she can do anything to help. Tash says she guesses she'll move back to No.32 - and throw a party(!) But despite Tash's flippant words, she's clearly very upset.

No.26
Lucas calls Kyle round to lookat her fridge. Jade protests that he's meant to be helping her with bootcamp. Rhys says he could fill in for Kyle. Jade is surprised at the offer, but agrees.

Harold's Store
Rhys is dressed for bootcamp and tells Kate that Jade and Kyle have had a fight. Kate rolls her eyes and tells Rhys, again, to drop it.

Kyle comes in and asks Kate for the key to her house so he can look at the fridge. She says she'll come herself and let him in. Rhys smirks.

When Kyle has gone, Rhys looks at Kate.

RHYS: Why do you keep fighting me? We're on the same side.
KATE: No, we're not, there *are* no sides! The dare is off, how many times do I have to keep telling you this?!
RHYS: When this is over, we both get what we want. What are you so worried about?

No.24
Kyle is fixing the fridge and chatting to Kate. They talk about Jade and Kyle's relationship. Kyle says that nothing is straightforward - except making up after a fight. He asks Kate about the "dude in Queensland", but she says he was just a holiday fling.

KYLE: You deserve a keeper.
KATE: Yeah, maybe.
KYLE: I'm serious! Out of all the chicks that I know, you've always been the most straight up. You know, uncomplicated.
KATE: Well, I have a fourteen year old sister and a Uni course advisor who would definitely disagree with you!
KYLE: You quit teaching. You didn't get a personality transplant. You're still the same old Kate. You haven't changed. And you shouldn't.

Kate looks pleased.

No.28
Karl and Susan are discussing Tash. Karl doesn't think there's much they can do, but Susan thinks Tash needs some kind of adult influence.

As Susan is leaving, Tash comes out with some bags. Karl tells her she doesn't have to go straightaway, but Tash says she "can't wait to start living on her own". Karl says he'll still be coming to Tash for dating advice and fashion tips(!) They hug goodbye.

Ramsay Street
Tash struggles down the street with all her stuff, wiping away tears. When she gets to No.32, Chris is sitting on the front garden wall, with some of his own stuff.

CHRIS: Hey! Could us a hand, here!
TASH: Chris, what are you doing?!
CHRIS: That's exactly what mum and dad said. Told them I'm moving in with Aidan.
TASH: You what?!
CHRIS: That probably how they'd react too, if I really did tell them that.
TASH: Chris, what's going on?
CHRIS: What does it look like? I'm shifting in.
TASH: What, with me?
CHRIS: Don't have a heart attack, it's just for a couple of days.
TASH: Why?! I don't need looking after.
CHRIS: Good, cos *I* do.

Tash starts to laugh, in pure relief.

CHRIS:(picking up his stuff and turning towards the house) Come on.

No.24
Kyle has finished fixing the fridge. He says he'd better go and sort things out with Jade.

KYLE: I hate not talking to her about stuff. Every time we have a run-in, it just makes me realise - I really love her.
KATE: Yeah, I know.

Gym
Jade has turned up to bootcamp and Rhys is there too. One of her clients tells her randomly what a nice guy Kyle is, and how lucky she thinks Jade is. Jade agrees.

Rhys comes over and tells Jade to stop beating herself up about Kyle.

RHYS: It's a good thing, how easy-going he is. Means you can pretty much do whatever you like, and he's always going to come back.

(Later)

Rhys comes into the changing room and tells Jade he enjoyed the class, though it was tough.

JADE: What are you doing in here?
RHYS: You don't reckon you're punishing yourself too?
JADE: Doesn't matter what I do, I don't get it right.
RHYS: Kyle's a big boy.
JADE: Yeah, right, I don't think I deserve him...I can't keep doing this to him.
RHYS: You can't help being who you are. You've never let yourself get caught up in a long-term relationship before. There's got to be a reason for that. The longer this goes on, the more commitment there's going to be. Sharing a room, sharing bank accounts, kids...there's always going to be somethign you're fighting against.

He sits down right next to her.

RHYS: Maybe, I don't know, maybe you've got to do what's best for both of you in the long run. People like us don't do relationships. If you want to be really honest with yourself, you know that sooner or later you're going to have to break up with Kyle.

Jade looks pained. She stands up and Rhys walks up behind her and puts a hand on her upper arm.

RHYS: If you really wanted to do the right thing...

Jade turns around, and Rhys leans in slowly to kiss her.

Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Rhys asks Jade if she's going to tell Kyle.
- Jade ranting at Rhys that he planned all of this, and she swore she'd never let anyone do that to her again.
- Jade talks to Kyle, saying there's a lot she's not ready for yet.
- The No.30 kitchen renovations are complete.
- Callum is cooking a meal in the new kitchen, making a mess.
