Simmons and Colbert
Sonya sits in the reception while Charlotte gives Toadie a serve over what happened. Serve over, Toadie tells Sonya that he needs to stay at work so their optimum baby making time won't be utilised this month.

Number 30
Susan laughs out loud after finding out what Sonya and Toadie got up. She then changes topic to discuss what plans Sonya has for redecorating #30, which they'll do over a cuppa.

SUSAN: As long as you leave your clothes on!

Number 22
Paul is trying to find a new school for Sophie when Roz from the DHS drops by for a chat. Roz is concerned that she can't contact Kate to discuss Sophie's expulsion. Paul immediately goes into damage limitation mode with her by saying that Kate has taken off on a last minute holiday to the beach and can't be contacted because she lost her phone. He also tells her that Sophie is staying at #22 with himself and Andrew. Roz admits she's puzzled at Sophie going off the rails and Andrew interrupts to say what happened is partially down to him. She still isn't buying it and the fact Sophie isn't there too, so plans to call back again in a couple of hours once she's been to her next appointment. When Roz leaves, Paul gets straight on the phone to order Sophie home.

Number 30/Simmons and Colbert
Susan and Sonya go through the brochures trying to see what works while Toadie slaves away at work.

Charlotte drops more files off with Toadie and jokes she'll keep the door open too as she goes to leave. He gets a call from Sonya to see how things are going and to tell him what she is up to with Susan. "Just plan, don't do anything," he warns her!

Number 22
Sophie comes home as ordered and doesn't seem at all concerned by the DHS visit unlike Paul and Andrew. He explains to her the plan they are using - that she's just staying with them because Kate has gone on holiday. "But I'm not moving back," Sophie pipes up and Paul replies that the DHS doesn't need to know that!

SOPHIE: So you want me to lie because she ran away?!
PAUL: Sophie this has nothing to do with Kate running away and you know that.
SOPHIE: I won't do it.
ANDREW: Sophie
SOPHIE: (interrupting) No, this is her fault. I'm not going to pretend that everything's okay because its not.
PAUL: Have you got any idea what they'll do if they find out what really happened?
SOPHIE: I don't care.
ANDREW: Sophie, they will take you away.
SOPHIE: Yes, good.
PAUL: (shouting) Oh don't be ridiculous.
SOPHIE: No, if they take me away then it will be Kate's fault, let's see how she likes that. If they ask me then I'm just going to tell them the truth.

Number 30
Sonya and Susan have totally ignored Toadie and return back laden with supplies!

Simmons and Colbert
Charlotte stops by to see how Toadie is doing - it looks like he's drowning under huge piles of papers. She subtly thanks him for knuckling down after what happened earlier then moves into the room, followed by other employees for the Friday night drinks session and no, he isn't getting out of joining in!

Number 30
As they look at colour samples, Sonya has an attack of the guilt's going ahead with the re-decorating without Toadie being there. Susan suggests that she calls him as he might be glad of the break...

Simmons and Colbert/Number 30
... But looks like he's having fun drinking with his work colleagues. Sonya doesn't seem too chuffed at him being at "a party" especially as she's been freaking out thinking about the trouble he got into because of her impromptu visit. Toad explains that its work drinks, he's still working but she doesn't get it and when he spots Charlotte staring at him, ends the call.

Number 30
When Sonya comes off the phone she is one unhappy bunny and decides it's full ahead with the redecorating, sod Toadie!

Susan tries to check that she really wants to go ahead but her mind is set and they pack up the house ready to be redecorated. Its no surprise given the mood something happens - she accidentally knocks the ladder into the wall causing a hole! Oops!!

Harold's Store
Andrew and Tash have been discussing what is happening when Sophie comes in. He tries again to appeal to her not to stuff things up but she's still not interested.

SOPHIE: Do you know what I do hope I get taken away. At least I won't have to listen to you and Paul telling me what's good for me.
TASH: Oh get over yourself.
SOPHIE: Sorry, what is it your turn now?!
TASH: To what, call you on the email act.
SOPHIE: Oh yes, that's all this is, is an act.
TASH: You know how serous this is, I know you know.
SOPHIE: No, you don't know anything about me.

Sophie goes to leave the store but Tash isn't finished and grabs onto her to prevent Sophie from leaving.

TASH: My dad nearly sent me to boarding school because of what I did to him. Dad is all I've got and Kate is all you've got. Sounds pretty similar to me.
SOPHIE: Yes well your dad didn't run away when things got hard.
TASH: No, he didn't. He did worse. He stayed and he kicked me out.
SOPHIE: Yes, except you didn't actually go anywhere.
TASH: Only because I was lucky.
SOPHIE: ...
TASH: You're scared, I can see it, and so you should be. This is really serious. So don't pretend you don't care.
SOPHIE: Whatever!

Andrew likes what Tash has said to his cousin and goes to follow Sophie who upped and left the store.

Number 22
Sophie comes home in a foul mood and Paul is fretting because Roz is due back in 15 minutes. He tells her to pull her head in and get her act together. Sophie doesn't respond so he asks if he's actually listening to him!

PAUL: You know Kate might not be around but if you don't get your act together then neither will you be.
SOPHIE: ...
PAUL: (shouting) SOPHIE!

Sophie turns round and we can see she's now crying and Paul's stance immediately softens.

SOPHIE: I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to get you into trouble, just please Uncle Paul, don't let them take me away.

Paul pulls her in for a hug and says that no one is taking her anywhere. She promises to say wherever he wants her to and he reassures her everything is going to be alright.

(Later)

Paul sends an email to Kate explaining what is going on and begs for her to call him.

Hospital exterior
Roz is discussing another case with Rhys as they exit the hospital. Karl runs into them as he's heading to his car and they exchange pleasantries. Roz mentions that she may see him as she's heading that way too. Rhys offers her a lift, which she declines, before she enquires where he lives. "Next door to Karl," he replies and Roz asks if he's friends with Kate. "You could say that," he replies before then saying that Kate's taken off to go travelling adding too that nobody has heard from her!

Number 22
Roz is back and for once Sophie is all sweetness and like, even toning down the usual war paint!

They settle down to talk and Roz comes straight out that she knows Kate has taken off and that they don't know where not when she will be back. Paul wants to know who grassed while Roz wants to know why they lied to her.

Roz tries to interpret Sophie smashing up the toilet was done because she was angry at Kate for leaving. "No" Sophie replies and the next question Roz asks her is if she knows where her sister is. Roz isn't amused at Paul and Andrew trying (and lying) to say where she is but Sophie backs up what Andrew has said, by saying Kate is at the beach.

Roz can tell that something fishy is going on and gives them 7 days to get in contact with the department.

ROZ: Or I'll have no choice but to recommend that Sophie be placed in foster care.

"Seven days," she reminds them as she exits the house leaving the three of them shocked and stunned.

Number 24
Paul lets himself into the house while on the phone to the airline trying to find out what flight Kate got on but they're not telling him. After a bit of hunting, he finds her computer and when he switches it, discovers exactly where Kate is - Port Douglas.

Charlie's
Susan and Karl exchange pleasantries when she enters the bar but their chat is interrupted when Paul rushes in to say he's off to Queensland and wants her to look after Sophie while he's away. She seems a bit reluctant and although not going into exact details, Paul gives her enough information that she agrees to his request.
