Previously on Neighbours
Jade explaining to Kyle about her ex hitting her.
Andrew encouraging Summer to keep quiet about cheating.
Andrew telling Sophie he's booked ‘Red Cotton'.
Paul isn't amused at the mess Sophie is making of the freshly ironed washing in her hunt for her ‘Red Cotton' t- shirt when he comes downstairs. He's even less amused when he hears Andrew talking on the phone and mentioning ‘Robinson Entertainment'! The pair of them have a chat about what is happening (the all ages gig) and Andrew promises not to stuff this one up because he doesn't want to be working for his dad for the rest of his life!
Jade is still playing things cool with Kyle when she hobbles out of her room and she tries to do a runner (to teach her boot camp class) while she sends him outside to see if her hoody is there. Kyle catches her and orders her to find someone else to cover the class… but when she makes the call it's for a taxi to pick her up!
Sophie isn't amused at her uncle when he tells her she isn't getting to the gig.
Emilia and Sonya drop by to see if Jade is up for some shopping in the city and discover her injury. Sonya jokes about Jade and Kyle both being on crutches and he asks for a lift to his yard as he is expecting a delivery. Jade is happy for him to go as she's going to enjoy the peace and quiet… and seconds after the trio have left the house she finishes getting herself ready for her class.
Summer is having another attack of the guilts over her cheating as she waits for Andrew to come into the store so they can find out about their Uni applications. Andrew's got in to do business and Sum's got into her journalism course too. Despite getting in, Summer isn't jumping for joy so Andrew gives her a pep talk which does the trick and she heads off to tell Lyn the happy news.
Sophie lets rip at Andrew over his dad preventing her from going to the gig. She demands he pleads with his dad that she is vital to the gig happening. Andrew isn't playing ball but Sophie persuades him by informing him that she can undo all her publicising for the gig and say it's off!
Paul eventually relents to Sophie going to the gig but there are some conditions to her going – no wondering off on her own and she's under Andrew's supervision at all times. Both agree to the conditions and Paul keeps Andrew back to add another one – if anything happens it's on his head!
Sophie and Andrew chat as they walk about the gig and he reiterates that she has to behave herself - he is trusting her. As they walk past the wall, Sophie notices Kate's image and she quizzes Andrew about why he lied. He replies that she had more to lose and adds that the pair of them need to find a way to get over what has happened. “No I don't,” Sophie replies and then cheers up immensely when Andrew places a lanyard over her neck with instructions that she's to look after the band!
Susan comes round to congratulate Summer on getting into her course with cake. She relaxes when Sum says Karl isn't in and makes herself at home as if she hadn't left! As they chat about how well Sum did in her exams, she again gets that guilty feeling back.
Kyle is leaving a voicemail message for Jade when he discovers her teaching! He isn't impressed and she asks they don't have a domestic and pleads for him to stop babying her and to go home so she can do her job.
Sonya is impressed with the shops they went to as she sits with Emilia looking at what they bought. Their chat is interrupted when Kyle comes round for a chat with Sonya about Jade (Emilia decides to put the kettle on!) He's frustrated that Jade won't let him look after her, nor make their relationship public. Its news to Sonya about Jade's ex when Kyle mentions him but then quickly backtracks when he realises he's said more than he should have.
Jade is issuing instructions to her class when Kyle comes and orders that the class is immediately stopped. Reluctantly (and with much annoyance) she does that and tells Kyle:
JADE: Alright, you want to talk, let's talk!
Well so much for talking as the pair of them sit in silence! Finally Kyle asks her about her ex and Jade announces she's off home! He prevents her from leaving by stealing her crutches, thus forcing her to remain. “I don't want to talk about him,” she says but he pushes her and asks what did he do to her?
JADE: It really doesn't matter Kyle.
KYLE: Do I matter?
JADE: What sort of a question is that?
KYLE: Whatever this guy did its affecting us. Come on, do you really reckon I'm the sort of bloke that would do something like that to you?
JADE: Course I don't.
KYLE: Then you've got to tell me what the problem is.
Jade shakes her head to that one but he pushes her for an answer and she eventually replies that she “is scared.”
JADE: I'm scared and I know I shouldn't be and you're… Look when I ended it, that was it. I was done with commitment but I didn't know I was going to meet you and then I started liking you I freaked out.
KYLE: I told you. I will *never* do what that guy did to you.
JADE: I know but it's really hard for me to get used to this… but I'm trying.
Kyle seems to appreciate what she's said as he has that cute smile on his face and he reaches over to hold her hands, which she doesn't recoil.
Summer arrives as the band is setting up and tells Andrew about the chat with Susan. He cuts her off by saying this (the Uni campus) is going to be her life in a few weeks and it's where she belongs and for her not to let her guilt cut her off what she wants to do. This has the desired effect and she now has a smile on her face as she begins to wonder round the campus (Andrew is off to sort out stuff about the gig).
Red Cotton introduce themselves before beginning the gig.
Andrew makes his displeasure at Sophie going AWOL (she was off getting drinks) but Sum calms him down and she heads to the front of the stage to watch the gig while they go off to check on a few things.
Paul surprises his son by showing up for the gig and isn't amused that Sophie isn't tied to his hip. Andrew reassures his dad he saw her only a few seconds ago which seems to appease him, so much so, Paul announces that he plans to stay for the rest of the gig!
This news is freaking Andrew out because he fears something will go wrong but Sum reassures him that nothing won't go wrong. The pair of the head to find Sophie but as the camera pans a shot of the crowd, she's got her tongue stuck down some guy's throat!!! Sum spots them and Andrew is like a mini- Paul – unamused!
As we return from the final commercial break, the band is finishing the song they were playing and Andrew calls a halt to the pashing session too! Neither Sophie or the guy she was pashing (Corey) are impressed at their session being curtailed, even less so when Andrew announces that Summer is taking her home! Sophie refuses to leave so Andrew pulls out the big guns – he'll stop the gig now because of her.
SOPHIE: You wouldn't do that.
ANDREW: Try me!!!
Sophie realises she's beaten and heads off with Summer right behind her leaving Andrew to outstare Corey until he heads off somewhere too and just in the nick of time as Paul spots where Andrew is and acknowledges him!
