Paul distracts Susan from the separation by loading work on to her.
Kate is concerned about Sophie's crush on Noah.
Noah tells Kate that she's doing a great job with Sophie.
Tash meets Emilia and asks about her mum getting sick. Emilia is surprised and says she'd better talk to Michael about it.
Tash is confused that Emilia shut down in the middle of telling Tash about her mum. Summer suggests trying Michael again, but Tash doesn't think he'll tell her anything.
Michael walks around the house looking for Tash.
Tash is confused - the photo, the beach, the way her mum died...she thinks it's all connected. Michael won't tell her anything. Summer suggests that they go through everything they know about Tash's mum again, just in case they missed anything.
Sophie asks Kate if she can go on the music camp next week. Kate says she doesn't think they can afford it.
Paul has come to hurry Susan's work along. Susan says she's been looking into other developments in other states, but she doesn't have an angle yet. Susan says she's against the development, but Karl pipes up and says Susan should think about her relationship with Toadie - he's representing the developers. Also, Karl himself is for it, it will bring more money and demand to the area.
SUSAN: I guess we're just not on the same page.
KARL: I guess not.
Rhys sees Michael at the hospital and recognises him. He tells him he has an appointment with Dr Holdsworth.
Karl comes in looking for some real estate brochures and gets rather irritated by Rhys.
Therapist's Office/No.32 flash between
Michael is meeting his therapist for the first time. Tash and Summer are at home sorting through old newspaper clipping about Tash's mother. Michael tells the therapist that he's having issues with Tash. Summer tells Tash that they need to look at what's missing. Michael flashes back to various events as he talks - his dead wife, talking to Tash about the cause of death and so on. Michael tells the therapist that things have changed. Summer and Tash realise there's no death notice for Tash's mum in the paper. Summer suggests going to the hospital - they could start at Erinsborough Hospital to ask about looking at records.
Sophie is making doe- eyes at Noah, but he is talking to Kate about the History Wall. He suggests going to the police station to ask for historical crimes in Erinsborough they can draw. Kate goes a bit quiet and admits that she used to date a detective.
Kate tells the History Wall groupies where they can find historical information and sends them off. Noah asks Kate if she can ask her ex- boyfriend to find about about historical crimes, but Kate tells him stiffly that she can't - she's not in contact with him anymore. Noah looks puzzled.
Paul and Susan are reading through copy that Susan has written. Paul suggests doing a profile piece on Lucas. Susan thinks Lucas isn't the right angle. She suggests focusing on the business owners that *are* selling instead.
Susan tells Paul that the separation with Karl has been fairly civil, but Paul says there's no such thing as an amicable split.
SUSAN: Karl and I will be fine.
Kate is talking to a couple of students about the History Wall. Sophie comes into the classroom and Noah asks her what's up with Kate. He asks about "the detective" and Sophie says that Kate was really stuffed around. But he's gone now - although it doesn't make it any easier on Kate.
Summer and Tash ask Rhys about looking up medical files. Rhys is suspicious, but when he hears it's Tash's mother they want to know about, he says he can look in the database.
Michael tells the therapist that Tash thinks she can handle anything, but she can't. The therapist suggests making another appointment, and that Michael considers being honest with Tash.
Outside the room, Tash tells Summer that there was nothing in the database. But Rhys did suggest applying for her mother's death certificate - she can't get it until she's 18, but that's only a couple of weeks away. Just then, Tash is stunned to see Michael coming out of the therapist's office. He departs without seeing her.
TASH: He's seeing a shrink?
Paul has got the minutes of the Council meeting where the development was approved. Susan tells Paul to make her a cup of tea(!)
Karl returns and asks rather rudely if Paul is moving in(!) He asks Susan if he can use her laptop for a bit - he wants to look at some properties online. Susan is shocked to hear that Karl is thinking about moving out, but doesn't say anything. They start an argument about whether the development should go ahead or not.
Paul says he's fed up of listening to their bickering.
KARL: I'll leave you to it.
He walks off to his bedroom.
PAUL:(to Susan) Amicable?!
Tash is rather morose, wondering if she's driven Michael to therapy. Summer says it's not her fault - maybe it's a good thing that Michael is getting help.
TASH: What if there's something really wrong with him?
Tash says she can't talk to Michael now - she'll just have to wait until she's 18.
Michael tells Tash off for running out in the middle of an exam - albeit a practice one.
He tells her he's made dinner (pasta) and for some reason he's moved the sofa and set it up on a table in the middle of the living room(!) They sit down to eat, strainedly. Tash eyes Michael with concern and asks him how the rest of his afternoon was. He asks her if she's started thinking about what she wants to do for her birthday. She hasn't.
The time- lapse camera is running as Sophie talks to Kate. Kate asks her to start dinner for her tonight.
Noah goes over to Kate and she congratulates him on his artwork. He says he's really got back into History because of her. He tells her that his move to Erinsborough was hard too, he had to leave a girlfriend behind. Kate asks Noah to help her to carry some books over to Harold's Store. He looks pleased.
Kate and Noah come in with the books. Noah tells her that he's moved seven times in ten years, so he doesn't have a lot of possessions now. They sit down and have a rather deep conversation about friendships and Kate tells Noah he's a great guy and is smart, good at History etc. She offers to make him a sandwich in return for helping with the wall. He agrees.
