Previously on Neighbours
Lucas putting in an offer to buy the garage.
Michelle rejecting Kyle and Jade's offer to buy her off.
Tash wondering if her hearing water is due to something in her past.
Jade and Kyle sneak out of her room having had another “friends with benefits” session hoping not to be spring by Michelle however she's holed up in her room. The duo decide to abandon ship quickly though when Michelle starts up her loud music.
Michael sits contemplating what Tash said to him (that her hearing water is due to something in her past) but then hurriedly exits his room only to be caught by Sonya wanting to chat about the school kitchen programme. Much to her surprise, she finds that she needs to approach the school board and is told to make and appointment to discuss it formally, although the fact he can't get away from her quick enough is more than surprising to her!
The duo are back but the music hasn't ceased yet and Michelle is annoying them too by writing her name on all her food in the fridge! Jade isn't one to be beaten though and orders Kyle out of the house… she has a plan! He makes one final request before exiting – if it gets physical can she call him… not so he can lend a hand but so he can watch!
Jade sits reading a magazine waiting for her prey… sorry Michelle to enter the kitchen. She eventually does and goes to help herself to a big slice of cheesecake from the fridge. Jade then taunts her by almost going for something of hers in the fridge (since most of it is labelled ‘Michelle') before picking a safe apple to eat instead. She then remarks to Michelle that they haven't done a workout for ages and makes insinuating comments about what eating a big slice of cheesecake will do to her, so much so, when Jade exits the kitchen (although still able to spy on her), Michelle throws the slice into the bin.
“I've just bought a garage,” Lucas remarks to Kyle when he queries the mega smile on his face… or maybe it's the fact he managed to escape from Michelle too! Kyle volunteers to help Lucas read the contract fine print after his dealings with Lou!
LUCAS: Elle's not Lou… although she is her father's daughter.
KYLE: I don't know who is dodgier, Lou or a Robinson.
LUCAS AND KYLE: (together) A Robinson.
Jade introduces Michelle to their new housemate who she found wondering the streets – Cat! Michelle wants her to get rid of the cat as she has allergies and threatens to call the real estate agent to blab on her for breaking the contract by taking in a pet.
Sonya turns up for her official meeting and Michael is in a more hospitable mood this time too, even going as far as talking to some of the school board members! Business out of the way and they then start chatting about Tash's accident and she relates to her feelings when Callum had his accident. Michael seems to almost take to heart Sonya regretting all the lies she told to Callum.
Michael is having a quick sneak at his returned picture when Tash stops by. They chat about how she is getting on catching up with the work she missed although turns down his offer to talk to her teachers about the workload. He asks how her ear problems are going and she replies it's still there but not as bad since starting the drops. She then almost takes him by surprise by giving jumping down off the desk where she is sat to give him a hug and thanking him for being her dad.
Kyle unloads on Lucas about Michelle and explains why he's hanging around in the store, so Lucas decides to quiz him on what he knows about hoists!
Kyle arrives home to pick up his invoice book and gets a surprise when he spots Cat sitting on the sofa. Jade bemoans that she was so close to breaking Michelle until it came out pets weren't allowed and rejects Kyle's suggestion to call Lyn and ask for permission – she'd rather Lyn not know about the bunny boiler in the spare room! Kyle suggests finding Michelle a new man at the other side of town but Jade rejects that idea (too long to happen) and categorically rejects his suggestion of getting Honga involved! “I will not be beaten by Michelle,” Jade declares and then has a brainwave when they hear her bashing away at the wall.
Sonya is overjoyed to hear that Lucas is the new garage owner and to celebrate he can shout her tea and cake!
Jade is just about to leave the house when Sonya comes by wanting to chat about her news (school kitchen garden/Lucas) and begrudgingly she lets her do that. Sonya is surprise Jade isn't as over the moon about it as she is and Michelle instead suggests that Sonya accompany her as they walk to that she can tell her sister properly all about it.
“I've got a proposition for you,” Jade tempts Rhys with as well as buying him a beer! They banter for a bit before she teasingly asks how he feels about doing a bit of role play!
Dr Lawson is now Mr Real Estate aka Christian Bartell who has dropped round for an inspection! Jade lies to Michelle and says she put up the letter announcing it on the fridge which she obviously didn't notice/it got lost when she was labelling! Michelle thinks she recognises Rhys but replies no and begins looking through the property.
Kyle arrives home and Jade quickly explains that a property inspection is ongoing so he doesn't put his foot in it! He's quick to play along as Christian reports on his findings – a crack in the bathroom mirror, which Kyle takes responsibility for. There is bad news for Michelle though – there is damage in her room (a bolt on the door, scuffs on the wall as well as nail holes from pictures she hung up) and quotes will need to be obtained for repairs – a couple of thousand dollars at his rough estimate. Michelle isn't amused at having to fork up money and stomps off to her room as Jade and Kyle high- five each other!
Lucas admires the ‘sold' sign and his empire before going into his locker and moving the urn that contained his dad's ashes from the bottom shelf to the middle one where it now has pride of place amongst his racing trophies.
Michael denies saying anything to Tash's teachers as they enter the bar and she remarks on how light her bag is. Tash leaves to take a call from Summer and Lucas comes over to chat and receive congratulations on his news. Lucas admits he is happy and it's a fresh start too with nothing hanging over his head – something Michael also seems to take to heart. He invites Michael to a beer at his place and Michael promises to do his best to go but does mention he has a lot of work to do.
Michelle rejects the offer of a hand from Kyle to load up her car with her belongings – she is moving out! Her parting gift to them is to point out that their “friends with benefits” isn't secret and there to overhear it are Lucas and Sonya. He seems quite amused by the revelations unlike Sonya!
Lucas tries to rib Kyle and Jade as they enter #26 but they flatly deny Michelle's insinuations and he departs. Sonya doesn't believe the denials and both Jade and Kyle scarper from any more inquisitions!
