This week on Neighbours

- Tash unhappy with her mates and her father.
- Jade taunting Troy.
- Toadie and Callum chatting about Troy.
- Sonya being warned that Troy is dangerous.
Previously on Neighbours
- Harold introducing Toadie to his fiancée Carolyn.
- Mark debating whether he did the right thing and asking Kate for her help over Paul.
Ramsay Street
Mark exits #26 and makes his way down to check the morning newspaper and he breathes a huge sigh of relief when he checks the paper to find there is nothing about him in it. He then makes his way over to #24 where Kate too is out to get her newspaper and gives her the good news that Paul didn't run the story. She retreats after he thanks her for her assistance.
Number 30
Lou enters #30 bright and breezy looking for the groom on his wedding day but instead finds the bride- to- be sitting at the table.
LOU: Its you.
CAROLYN: Haven't you get anything better to do today?
LOU: I could ask you the same thing!
CAROLYN: It is my wedding day.
LOU: Exactly my point.
He then notices that there appears to be nobody around and asks if she's scared everyone off! Carolyn doesn't rise to his bait, telling him that nothing is going to spoil her day, not even the sore throat she has developed either! Toadie enters his house and asks if Harold is around.
LOU: He'll do a runner if he's got any sense!
CAROLYN: He's probably still asleep in the van.
LOU: Cowering in fear more like it!
CAROLYN: Lou, I can uninvited you, this is my wedding day.
LOU: Its Harold's wedding and I'm the best man.
CAROLYN: Well that's a matter of opinion! Tell Harold his tea is ready; I'd better get over to the Kennedys.
LOU: What for?
CAROLYN: The girls are going to make me look beautiful.
LOU: Oh... miracle workers are they?!
CAROLYN: Jealousy's not a good look on you Lou.
She then says goodbye to Toadie, telling him to tell Harold that she'll see him at the altar.
LOU: Not if he's got any sense!
Lou then notices that Toadie hasn't said anything back to him after what he said; instead just staring at him, so he finally asks what's up and Toadie replies that Harold is missing!
Lassiters Complex
Mark watches on as Kate serves a couple of customers before she makes her way over to him. After placing his order, he then invites her to join Jade, Kyle and himself for some drinks and to play board games. Kate agrees to come and he says that the guys will be rapped...
Number 26
...And they most certainly are not when we cut to #26! "They are called bored games for a reason, I'm bored already," Kyle cries. Jade isn't won over either especially at the prospect of having chips and dips too; she'd rather go for her waxing appointment! Mark wins them over though when he mentions that Kate will be joining them, although twists it slightly to make it look like it was her idea rather than it coming from him.
JADE: I'll organise the chips and dips.
MARK AND KYLE: (together simultaneously) I'll call Kate.
Harold's Store
Lucas is stuffing himself with a large plate of food as if he's never seen any before when Toadie and Lou enter looking for Harold. He hasn't seen him although Lou is still insisting that Harold is going to stand Carolyn up!
LOU: Maybe we should try the airports.
TOADIE: Just give it a rest will you.
LOU: Better still, let him go! I mean if he's smart enough to come to his senses...
Toadie cuts him off, telling him that is enough because the pair of them deserve to be married.
TOADIE: If Harold's done a runner there's no hope for the rest of us.
Number 28
Sonya attends to sorting out the flowers whilst giving Carolyn a cool reception. She twigs as to why she's getting the cold shoulder and tries to talk to Sonya. Eventually she gets through once she tells her that it's obvious she and Toadie are meant to be together and that both her and Harold only want the best for them and the community.
CAROLYN: Sonya, you can be angry with me and Harold, that's fine, but at least be honest with yourself.
Their talk is interrupted when Toadie and Lou appear wanting to chat to her even if she is aghast at them coming into the house when it should be a women only zone!
TOADIE: The thing is, I'm really not too sure how to put this...
LOU: (butting in) Harold's done a runner!
Carolyn totally dismisses their concerns, Harold will be there!
LOU: I wouldn't be so confident!
CAROLYN: I'm not worried. You see Harold and, its true love and true love always wins through in the end.
Charlie's
Paul overhears Mark ordering some drinks (for the party) and accuses him of celebrating early because there is always tomorrow's paper! He is kidding though (hopefully!) and admits that it's intriguing him as to why he didn't want the story published. Mark sincerely thanks him and is reminded that he only pulled it because it was Kate who asked. Paul's silence does come at a price though - he warns Mark never to hurt Kate!
Number 28
Carolyn sits calmly and does her make up as Lou calls Harold's Salvo mates to see if they have heard from him but they haven't. Toadie wonders if they should be calling some guests.
LOU: She's in denial.
Carolyn tells them to stop worrying.
CAROLYN: I may not know where Harold is right now but there's a couple of things I do know. I do know that Harold loves me and I've never been so sure of anything in my life and I know what we've got.
LOU: Carolyn just to be on the safe side.
CAROLYN: (annoyed) Safe side! There's no such thing as safe side when it comes to true love. You've just got to take the leap and trust in it. He'll be there... I'm getting married today.
Although it was Carolyn saying those words, it's more than certainly aimed at Toadie and Sonya too especially as the camera was focused on them as she said the words.
Cemetery
And we finally see the groom; he's gone to Madge's grave.
HAROLD: Hello Madge, there's something I want to tell you.
Number 26
Mark has decided that it's Kate who is going to pick a name out of the bowl to see which housemate she is going to partner for the board games. And the lucky one is... Mark! Well it was a foregone conclusion given it was only his name on the papers although the others didn't see that! He takes his place next to Kate on the sofa and between them the wipe the floor with the other two until Jade suggests they go for a drink because she's fed up playing board games.
Cemetery
Harold sits quietly chatting to Madge.
HAROLD: And so when you left me, I didn't think I'd ever meet anyone ever again. I didn't think I'd want to meet anyone ever again but I did. Her name's Carolyn. Oh you'd love her Madge. She's got a fire in her belly, like... well not unlike someone else I know! And she makes me feel loved. Oh I've missed that. I love her Madge; I love her very, very much. I know you'll be watching over me today, you love a good get together eh?! Goodbye Madge. I'll always love you.
Harold then gathers his director's chair and his bag and walks away from her grave.
Lassiters Park
Carolyn stands and greets the silent random wedding guests while Susan, Karl, Toadie and Lucas wonder how to deal with the situation. Toadie knocks back Susan's suggestion of handing out the champers but she and Karl head off to check the glasses anyway.
Toadie decides he has had enough and goes over to chat to Carolyn but Lucas drags him away for a chat before he can say what I presume is she's been stood up although he does compliment her on how she looks! As they chat, Lucas refuses to let him tell her because she has faith Harold will show up and suggests he takes a leaf out of her book. After making it obvious he's talking about Sonya and himself, Toadie smiles naturally at her (she's seated amongst the extra's) and then it looks like Carolyn's faith has paid off as we finally hear Harold's dulcet tones seconds before we see him arrive dressed in his wedding finery, apologising for being late.
HAROLD: (after seeing Carolyn) Oh Carolyn. Oh you are breathtaking.
CAROLYN: And you need your tie straightened.
LUCAS: (to Toadie) See, what did I tell you?
With his tie sorted, Harold turns to the guests:
HAROLD: Well if you haven't started without me eh, shall we start now?
The gathered guests all laugh and Toadie takes another coy look at Sonya before we head into the commercial break.
Lassiters Park
And we come back from the break to find Carolyn saying her vows to Harold.
CAROLYN: The rest of my life starts today and I know it will be filled with laughter and love and those delicious Spanish doughnuts that I curse you for introducing me to! For all the time I've known you, you've been the one constant. I love you Harold Bishop.
HAROLD: Oh what a wonderful journey I'm having eh? With life's ups and downs, loves and its loses and then I meet you Carolyn, sweet Carolyn. There are some things in life that are difficult and we can either give up on them or persevere with them because they are just too wonderful to give up on. Oh I love you Carolyn Johnstone.
The celebrant then says that providing there are no objections to this union and Lou immediately raises his hand! Carolyn dares him to say something but thankfully he keeps quiet and just pretends that he raised his hand so he could scratch the back of his head!
CELEBANT: There's nothing left now but to seal this union with a kiss.
And Carolyn and Harold do just that for the gathered guests as they in turn, clap the newlyweds, with Toadie and Sonya continuing (like they did through the vows) to look fondly at each other. Lucas then leans forward from where he is sitting to have a quiet word to Toadie.
LUCAS: Nothing like a wedding to stir up a bit of romance.
TOADIE: (refusing to rise to the bait) Why, who you going home with mate?
Lucas is then about to tell him when Toadie cuts him off to go and congratulate the happy couple and he does, finds that he is stood right next to Sonya. The two of them make polite small talk about the wedding before wordlessly staring right into each others faces for quite a number of seconds before looking away.
Charlie's veranda
Jade joins Kate at her table to say the guys are getting the drinks but they are only having one as they are going into the city after it. They banter about playing the board games and Jade drops it into the conversation that the whole afternoon was Kate's idea (she looks puzzled) and that payback will be on her territory - lots of running and weights!
Lassiters Park
Carolyn thanks Sonya for the flowers and she takes the opportunity to apologise for earlier but Carolyn cuts her off immediately to say there is no need. "Just be happy," she tells Sonya.
Susan and Karl bring over the champers and Sonya gets pushed out of the circle that is forming but Lucas breaks off to go and talk to her. He asks if she is coming to Charlie's (no) so takes the bull by the horn and decides to make an impromptu speech!
LUCAS: I just wanted to say a few words off the top of my head. It takes a lot of guts to be happy. Sometimes it's easier to be safer and just give up. I haven't known Harold as long as some of you have, Carolyn even less, but when I look at the two of you I can see that you are meant for each other.
(More Sonya/Toadie staring at each other)
LUCAS: It doesn't matter what life throws at you, you can't give up on that chance because you'll kick yourself and drive your mates crazy too.
(Even more Sonya/Toadie staring at each other)
LUCAS: To love and second chances.
GATHERED: Love and second chances!
Sonya seems to have really taken to heart what Lucas has just said as we head into the final commercial break.
Charlie's
Harold is relived to take the weight off his feet when he finally takes a seat at a table with Lou.
HAROLD: I will sleep well tonight.
LOU: On your wedding night?! (laughs) You won't get much sleep tonight sunshine!!!
Harold chastises him as Carolyn joins them at the table with the refreshments - OJ for Harold, champers for herself and a shandy for Lou... because he is driving them home! That starts the bickering up again and Harold calls a halt to it but instead Carolyn takes delight in rubbing it in that since Harold did turn up today, she obviously knows Harold better than Lou!
LOU: Just goes to show how desperate he is... I'll give you that!
Harold notices that Toadie isn't around and remarks that he did seem pre- occupied and hopes he is okay. Lou reassures him that Toadie will be okay, he's a fighter from way back! Lou then signals for the happy couple to kiss, even if it may bring up his dinner and like previously, the happy couple pucker up!
Lassiters Lake
Sonya is standing on the jetty staring into space when Toadie approaches her and wordlessly asks for her hand. She gives it and he gently grasps it before caressing it tenderly but then immediately let's go, to instead touch her face as he leans in to kiss her before the pair of them waste no time in pashing each other sensuously!
