Recap
- Andrew kissing Lisa
- Summer being worried that she's judgemental
- Libby backing Michael about the no- uniform policy
- Paul getting under Libby's skin about her not being principal
Charlie's/Harold's Store
Paul is on the phone with the head of the Parents Association who is complaining about the no- uniform policy. He tries to convince the lady to make a formal complaint and points out that Michael never consulted her about it. When he gets off the phone, Andrew calls his dad out for not caring about the policy and only caring about bringing Michael down. Paul denies it, however - he thinks the policy will hurt the reputation of the school, and bringing Michael down is just an extra bit of fun.
Meanwhile at Harold's, Michael is trying to convince Summer that the policy is in place to encourage students to have freedom. Summer thinks it's a bad idea because kids will start competing and being snobby based on attire. Sum spots Libby and asks whether she's against it too, but Libby reluctantly replies that Michael must be doing it for the good of the school. Summer still insists that plenty of kids have expressed their disagreement via Facebook comments, but Tash hurries Mike out of the store so she can decide what to wear the next day for school.
Erinsborough High - Hallway
Sophie is looking self conscious in her casual clothing when she sees a group of girls all dolled up near the lockers. Tash appears out of nowhere and tells Sophie not to worry since those girls aren't dressing like who they really are. Tash points to her own outfit, a strappy pink number, and says it screams "confidence". She tells Sophie that her outfit screams "Sophie", while Sophie's really not sure if it's an insult or a compliment. Sophie grabs Kate who's walking past and drags her into the classroom.
Sophie wants Kate to cover for her while she goes home to change. Sophie's upset that she still dresses like she did when she was a kid but Kate thinks the novelty of no- uniforms will wear off.
KATE: Some girls seem to think it's a fashion competition.
SOPHIE: Yeah, it is. And I'm not even in the race.
Back out into the hallway, Lisa the ex- geek strolls in looking like a street walker. She and her friends fawn over pictures of her and Andrew, while Summer looks on in the background all upset. Tash tries to cheer her up and take her mind off it by commenting that Lisa is trying too hard and also clashing outfits with her two friends because they must not have consulted the night before! They walk off, as does Lisa's two friends, so Sophie takes the chance to approach Lisa to ask for advice since Lisa used to be a nerd but is now really cool. Lisa agrees to make her over since she's Andrew's cousin.
Erinsborough High - Michael's Office
Michael is on the phone with the head of the Parents Association and he tells her that the policy still stands, but he will take full responsibility if it doesn't work out. Libby comes in and when he gets off the phone, he laments that Paul doesn't care about the uniforms - he's just rounding up parents because he's out to get Mike. He asks Libby to step in and wrangle with Paul and she is reluctant, but agrees to do it when Mike points out that it'd be good practice because she would need to deal with that kind of thing if she wanted to be Assistant Principal.
Lassiter's Complex
Toadie is on the way to the office when he stops by to chat with Libby. Toad's worried that Sonya is spending time with Callum but Libby assures him that he always does what is right by Cal.
Paul strolls past and Libby calls after him to ask him to back off on the no- uniform policy. She admits that she doesn't agree with it either but she thinks it would be best just to let the whole thing fail on its own. Paul twigs that Libby is really after Michael's job and he guarantees that if she were to cooperate with him, he could make it happen within a year.
Erinsborough High - Playground
Lisa drags Sophie out looking all made up and utterly ridiculous. Not to mention age- inappropriate. Tash is in disbelief that Sophie went to Lisa for fashion advice. Lisa and Tash start to trade insults and Tash then sticks her foot in it by calling Sophie the daggiest kid in school. Sophie walks off and Lisa gives Tash the hand.
Erinsborough High - Hallway
Michael quickly asks Lib whether she's spoken to Paul. She confirms that she has but he refused to stop, which was expected. She tentatively suggests that perhaps Mike should reassess the policy but he doesn't think he should. He questions her on her stance but she denies having second thoughts. A boy named Dean is telling Sophie that she looks stupid and Libby sends him off to clean up a bin to stop Sophie getting harassed.
Erinsborough High - Classroom
Sophie runs into the classroom and cries in the corner. Kate comes in and doesn't notice at first, until she hears the sobbing. Kate tells Sophie that she doesn't need to be wearing makeup. Sophie takes offence when Kate innocently states that Sophie is just a little girl.
Erinsborough High - Playground
Summer sits down with Sophie and makes an analogy about sandwiches - she always wants to try something different but ends up gravitating towards the ones she knows that she likes. Sophie wanted to change her look because she wanted Kate to stop seeing her as a little girl, but she admits that the look isn't her at all. She doesn't want to go back to what she looked like before though, so Summer offers to help her find something in between.
Erinsborough High - Hallway
Summer has dressed Sophie up in a fitted but sensible shirt with her hair out. Lisa is angry that she's meddled with the look that she gave.
LISA: What was wrong with my makeover?
SOPHIE: It wasn't me.
LISA: It was better than you, that's the whole point of a makeover.
Lisa is offended that she took advice from Summer who knows nothing about fashion while Andrew drags her off.
Number 28
Libby pulls out her old high school yearbook and sees that she was listed "Most likely to succeed". Susan points out that many people don't end up doing what they wanted at 17, they ended up doing something else. She wants Libby to know that she's very proud of her for being a very successful young woman. Lib laughs that as her mother, Susan has to say that! Libby still looks wistfully at her ambitions at the age of 17.
Harold's Store
Michael overhears Susan, Libby and Toadie talking about the no- uniform policy (Toadie and Susan are all for it, although Susan doesn't think it would have been accepted in Toadie's day) and he tells them that it works because he has the support of key staff. Libby looks uncomfortable. Toadie jokes that you never want to get in the way of Libby and what she wants, which earns a pinch from Lib.
LIBBY: For that you can buy me lunch.
SUSAN: Yeah, me too.
TOADIE: That's not fair!
SUSAN: Oh come on, it's not like we haven't fed you over the years.
While they talk about how Toadie used to come over every night for a meal on the pretence of saying hi, Michael is on the phone hearing about the threat from Paul to have him replaced. Michael is standing his ground though, especially since there's no one to replace him with (cue uncomfortable shifty look from Libby). Susan and Toad are in full support of him and Libby goes off to get a drink while sneakily calling Paul.
Lassiter's Complex
The covert meeting is underway where Lib tells Paul that she may be after the same thing as Paul (I.e. Michael gone), but she wants to go about it a different way. She will not deliberately undermine Michael, but rather she'll feel better if she just lets him sabotage himself since the no- uniform policy is doomed. Paul makes it clear that if she will not cooperate, he will take her down along with Michael but she grabs his arm (much to his surprise) and makes it clear that she cares about the students and the school so she won't do anything to hurt them.
Erinsborough High - Hallway
Tash can't believe that Summer let Lisa walk all over her like that.
NATASHA: When I bag you out about clothes, it's done with love.
Andrew and Lisa walk past and stop for a make out session. Natasha knows that Lisa is doing it to get at Sum, but Summer claims that she's not bothered. Tash makes it clear that nobody can treat her friends like that and get away with it.

(Lisa struts around)
NATASHA: Look at her, walking around like she owns the place. Someone's gotta stick up for Summer.
SUMMER: No, if I wanna fight Lisa, I will, so just back off.
(Chris pulls Tash back from following Andrew and Lisa)
CHRIS: Tash, calm down.
NATASHA: Someone needs to put her back in her hole.
(Number 28)
TOADIE: I took Squid over to Sonya's the other day.
KARL: You'd like to spend more time with her?
(Toadie looks at a card with photos of him and Sonya)
KARL: I don't think you get to choose who you fall in love with. If you're in love with her then maybe it's time to give her a second chance.
SUSAN: A big chance.
(Sonya and Toadie on the street)
TOADIE: I was thinking, later on, you know, you might want to...
