Michael exits his house with a bag and at the same time so does Paul. They even exit the street at the same time too!

Lassiters Complex
Rebecca greets Paul when he shows up, hoping that he didn't keep her too long.

Meanwhile, Michael checks his mobile for messages - there are none so he resumes his run.

Hotel room
Paul dishes out the complements to Rebecca and apologises for how he made things difficult for her. He wants them to have a fresh start with nothing hanging over them - and he goes into his bag and retrieves the affidavit saying that someone has witnessed it.

REBECCA: You have no idea what this means to me.

Paul doesn't know the true meaning of what she has just said and replies by telling her that he is the luckiest guy in the world.

Charlie's
And we go from the mega smile of the luckiest guy in the world to a very glum looking Summer but that changes when Zeke joins her and they talk PirateNet. While Sum turns cheery, Tash after witnessing how great the two of them are, now has the glum look on her face!

(Later)

Tash invites Lisa, her fellow maths nerd, for a coffee come catch up but really its so that Tash can spread it round that Summer and Zeke are an item, which given he works at the school is a bit of a no- no.

Number 32
Just as Michael decides to send Rebecca a text message since he's heard nothing from her, he's interrupted by Tash returning home very eager to tell him about "the rumour" of Zeke and Summer being an item and that is why she moved out. Michael does not believe the rumour one bit and thankfully for Tash, Andrew arrives to deflect the attention. Tash invites him to stay for supper and Michael is happy for that to happen as long as he clears it first with Rebecca but is told that won't be necessary as she is out at some fancy meal with Paul.

Hotel room
The waiter removes the food that the duo had and Paul heads to the bathroom.

Number 32/hotel room
Michael has had enough and calls Rebecca. She is reluctant to answer it and indeed cancels the call (when Paul asks if she is going to get it) telling him it wasn't important. Instead, she sends Michael a text message urging him to trust her. Paul returns from the bathroom and has other things on his mind than finishing off the bottle of wine!

(Next day)

"Everything okay?" Paul asks Rebecca after their post- sex sleep and she replies back that she is just thinking. After a few more minutes, she gets out of bed and begins to dress, telling him that she has stuff to do. Paul has the same idea too and top of his 'things go do' list is signing the affidavit to signal their 'new beginning'. Rebecca is mightily relieved to have the affidavit in her hands, so much so she is actually shaking and puts it down to getting a second chance when Paul brings it up.

After a final kiss, Paul heads into the shower and Rebecca puts the wheels in motion - calling Declan to tell him to meet her at home in 30 minutes.

Number 22
Declan is as overjoyed as his mum when she shows him the affidavit and just as he is about to head upstairs to pack, Paul comes in surprised to see the pair of them. They manage to get rid of Paul by telling him to go get some food for lunch (he wanted them to go out but Rebecca suggested they eat at home instead) and both immediately head off to pack up.

School
Summer is busy working when Tash comes in to the classroom gloat and show off the "gossip" about her and Zeke - its all over Facebook and Tash is blaming Lisa for spreading the gossip. Zeke then happens to pass the classroom and Tash tells them that they need to be more careful and proudly shows him her computer with the news. Zeke treats it as one big laugh and tells Sum not to let it get to her when Tash leaves to "deal" with the information.

Unfortunately, when Zeke was talking to Summer, he had his left hand on her shoulder and Michael just so happened to spot that and drags Zeke off to his office for a little chat.

Michael's office
"It's someone's idea of a joke," Zeke pleads as they walk into his office. Michael is taking things very seriously and the school board is involved too - they are very sensitive in case another Rachel/Angus thing develops!

ZEKE: My sister was stupid! As if I would make the same mistake.

This seems to get through to Michael and his whole demeanour changes - he will contact the school board to say nothing has happened.

Number 22
Rebecca and Declan are finishing up when Michael calls but she quickly ends the call, promising to call him back soon. "Is this everything?" Declan asks and is told to go and wait in the car for her, she'll join him but has something to do first.

Just as he (and Indy) are about to leave Paul arrives home with lunch and wonders about all the bags then two seconds later the expression on his face changes - you can see that the penny has dropped.

PAUL: You're leaving.
DECLAN: Don't try and stop us.

Rebecca tells him to wait for her in the car, but he is reluctant to do so, but she explains that she has to talk to Paul on her own. Reluctantly, he (and Indy) head outside.

PAUL: So, so last night, that was just some game was it?
REBECCA: No. It was no game.
(Rebecca takes her wedding ring off?
REBECCA: It's over Paul.
PAUL: (scoffs) You don't seriously expect me to accept that do you?
REBECCA: I don't care what you do any more.
(Places the ring in front of a family photo)
PAUL: No, no, you can't do this.
(Tries to approach her)
REBECCA: Hey, none of this was my choice. (Paul looks stunned) Tricking you was the only option I had, you sought to that.
PAUL: (distraught) But I love you.
REBECCA: Yes I know you do but any love I had for you, you killed. You can't make me love you back. The sad thing is you'll never understand that.
(Paul blocks her from leaving)
REBECCA: Oh move Paul

This time he stands still as she brushes past him and exits the house after picking up her bags leaving Paul standing absolutely shell- shocked.

(Later)

Paul picks up Rebecca's ring and sits down on the sofa, twirling it in his fingers when Andrew rushes in looking for his business folder. It takes him a few minutes to realise that something is up and Paul breaks it to him that Rebecca has left. He wants to know why and Paul replies that he made mistakes that he couldn't fix. Andrew tries to reassure him that Rebecca forgave him but Paul replies that she didn't. "You seemed so happy though?" Andrew suggests and tearfully Paul replies that he was trying, "but apparently that wasn't good enough."

PAUL: I don't know quite what to do now.

Andrew does though - he reaches out and pulls his dad in for a one- armed hug when he just about breaks down.

Hotel room somewhere
As they enter their new home, Rebecca apologises to Declan for dumping him in it like this and he replies that it won't be forever and points out the positives - when she wakes up tomorrow she won't be lying next to Paul!

REBECCA: Yes, I know!

Declan asks if Michael knows and she shakes her head to indicate no but adds that she will call him. Realising that she is due to work tonight, Declan offers to cover his mum's shift but she rejects his offer and instead wonders what Paul's next plan will be.

DECLAN: We can handle Paul. You're free mum, that's all that matters.
REBECCA: (relieved) I know!

School
Lisa and Tash gossip about their Facebook news when they spot Zeke approach Summer at the other end of the corridor.

He asks Summer if she's given anyone an impression that they are together and she firmly denies that. Both are puzzled how this rumour started and Zeke suggests until things cool down, that in public they should stop hanging out and that begins with them now not going to a gig together as originally planned.

Lassiters Complex
"You had me worried," Michael tells Rebecca when they meet each other at the side of the main complex area of Lassiters. She apologises then shows him the signed affidavit and he asks if she's left him. Rebecca doesn't answer (although her eyes do give a 'yes' answer) and instead drags him over to where the old bridge now sits and they have a mini- domestic about how the affidavit got signed.

REBECCA: When we agreed that when this was over and we'd start again from day 1, its day 1.

Michael has a mega big smile on his face before he asks if Andrew knows and she replies no but intends to speak to him after school adding that it's going to be very tough for him. She then mentions that the pair of them need to be careful in public too until things settle down... but it looks like Michael wasn't listening as he picks up Rebecca's hand and tenderly rubs it before announcing that he'd better get back to work.

REBECCA: I love you.
MICHAEL: I love you too.

And as he finally lets go of her hand, we can see that someone witnessed it - Paul who is hiding unseen to them in some nearby bushes.

Number 22
Paul returns home and picks up the family photo of the four of them and looking at it tenderly before forcibly putting it face down on the unit again. He then rushes into the kitchen to retrieve a bin bag and begins to put all photo's of them/Declan/Indy into it, tossing in Rebecca's wedding ring too. However when he comes to one of their wedding photo's, instead of placing it into the bin bag, he smashes it (repeatedly) to smithereens and Andrew has to calm him down when he enters the house although Paul doesn't welcome his son's intervention at all.

PAUL: This is not over.
