Mark warning Lucas about Billy Forman and his hardcore mates.
Billy telling Lucas to throw the bike race.
Lucas winning the bike race instead.
Garland and Vince paying Lucas a visit at the garage late at night.
Lucas staggers home, breathing heavily, in a lot of pain. He drops his keys. Bending to pick them up he can't get up again and struggles to the sofa, hauling himself up and collapsing on it.
The next morning Kate and Mark wake Lucas up – and then realising he's been beaten up. He tells them he got into a fight in a bar in town and that he'll be fine, but Kate insists on taking him to hospital. Lucas refuses, but is in so much pain that Mark takes over and insists on taking him.
Karl is treating Lucas and is concerned about the cut on his face – that won't look good on the calendar! Lucas is desperate to leave the hospital but Karl says he'll be ordering an X- ray and ultrasound to check for internal injuries. When Karl leaves Mark interrogates Lucas – how many guys were in on the fight? Lucas says there were lots of them, but he doesn't want to make an official complaint. Mark wants to make this a police matter, so Lucas kicks off about how often Mark is over at their house.
Mark walks out and Karl returns to say he's organised the X- ray.
Teacher Jacqui has taken her school class to the gym to talk about personal trainers and what they do. She introduces them to Jade Mitchell who will take the class for her today. There only appear to be eight kids in the whole class.
Zeke's also at the gym and calls Sophie over to tell her he's made her a CD for the radio show. Sophie's stoked. Jade takes the class, and Zeke watches her, impressed. Sophie watches Zeke pumping iron, impressed. Callum watches Sophie, and comments that he thought she was over him – but she's clearly not.
Later on Jade partners everyone up, but without a partner herself she asks Zeke to come over. Sophie notices that Zeke seems to enjoy Jade's attention, and Cal reprimands Soph for staring Zeke – especially when he's got the hots for Jade. Callum also comments that perhaps it's the lycra that Jade's wearing – she looks pretty hot in it. Sophie has an idea...
Karl wheels Lucas out in a wheelchair, telling him that he's okay, but he needs to stay away from rough pubs. He wants to go to work but Kate reminds him that Karl just told him to rest! Kate knows that Lucas was rude to Mark to stop him asking questions, and wants to know the truth about what happened.
Mark comes in at that moment with some water for Lucas, and asks him why he doesn't want to report it. To stop him asking more questions Lucas admits that he started the fight because he was mouthing off, and he doesn't know who threw the first punch. Mark offers Lucas a lift to work, but Lucas declines – he'll get a cab.
At the gym the school class finishes and when Callum asks Sophie to have lunch with him she says she's busy. Jade chats to Zeke.
JADE: That was fun. You know, kids are like real people. Just smaller.
Zeke has a stiff neck from the gym and Jade concedes to give him a shoulder rub. As he's enjoying it Sophie asks Zeke if she could grab the CD from him, but he's too distracted. Sophie's disappointed.
Declan's chatting to Lucas about the calendar and reminds him that if he's not up to it he should just tell Karl. Billy arrives and comments that Lucas got off lightly, and tells him that he cost Garland money – and he still wants payback. Lucas realises this is serious, and wants to know how to fix it. But Billy tells him he can't.
Lucas is at the garage when Garland and Vince's car drives by, slowly, then speeds off. Sophie comes over and asks Lucas how he is – she heard he got into a fight. She's been shopping, and Lucas offers to take her to lunch at Harold's. He double checks that the garage is locked first and asks her about her day.
Lucas and Sophie are having lunch and thinks the kids have it easy at school with all her free periods and lunchtimes to go shopping. He gives her $20 to pay for lunch as he has to get back to work, and he tells her to go straight back to school. Kate clears the table and is off with Lucas. She asks Sophie if she's going to be late getting back to school but Sophie lies and says she has a free period.
Zeke and Declan are on bikes, and Jade comments how Declan has cycled much further than Zeke. Zeke notices that Dec's resistance level is lower than his and accuses him of cheating! Karl comes into the gym to get fit for the calendar, too, and Jade wonders if he needs help with a training plan. Karl refuses.
Sophie comes in, in a lycra top and leggings. She looks dead cute. Trying to impress Zeke she gets on the running machine, and Zeke calls out to her, wondering why she's not at school. Feeling sorry for Sophie, Jade covers and tells Zeke Soph has a free period.
Zeke asks Jade again for more help with the cycling machine, and when Sophie comes over to talk to him he dismisses her. Embarrassed, she runs into the changing rooms.
Jade runs after Sophie who's now in her school outfit again. Sophie said she felt stupid and Jade tells her she looked great. Jade realises that Sophie has a crush on Zeke, but hearing out loud freaks Sophie out and she runs off.
Callum tells Sophie he covered for her, saying that she was ill. Sophie drops her bag and Callum sees the gym outfit.
Jade comes over to see Zeke and tells him they need to talk about Sophie – she has a massive crush on him. Zeke had no idea.
Sophie tells Callum what happened at the gym. Callum points out that it means Zeke didn't notice her, so he has no idea of how she feels. This means she just dodged a bullet!
Zeke tells Jade that he did nothing to encourage her. Although he did make her a CD. Jade tells him to sit her down and tell her gently.
Callum tells Sophie to take the clothes back to the shop. The main thing is that Zeke has no idea. She has nothing to worry about.
Lucas returns from lunch to find the garage open and completely trashed. He calls Billy and yells at him to tell Garland that they're done – he'll pay him back and this has to stop. Now.
Kate brings Lucas a coffee and he thinks about things for a while before approaching her to talk. He apologises for what he said at the hospital and about Mark. He says he was embarrassed and didn't want anyone feeling sorry for him. Lucas adds that he likes Mark and will apologise to him, too. He offers to make dinner for them both tonight to say sorry face to face.
Lucas is making dinner and is in a cheery mood. Mark thanks Lucas for the invite and apologises for what he said that morning; he spat the dummy and he knows it. He adds that Mark is welcome any time. Sophie comes in and announces that she's hungry. There's a call from Billy which Sophie answers; Lucas says he'll call him back.
Billy insists – this is urgent. Lucas takes the phone from Sophie and talks to Billy as if he's a customer wanting a car done. So Mark doesn't suspect. Billy tells Lucas that Garland will come to his house if he doesn't get to the garage right now. Lucas agrees to go.
