This week on Neighbours
- Donna in a quandry.
- Toadie kicking Jade out of #30.
- Tash telling Andrew he no longer has to pretend.
- Michael declaring that he wants to spend his life with Rebecca.
- Paul declaring his love for his wife.
Previously on Neighbours
Rebecca telling Declan that she loves Michael.
Rebecca offering to help Lyn after she twigged Paul was blackmailing her to help him get back with Rebecca.
Donna confused about going to New York.
Lassiters Complex
Lucas ends his call to thank Billy for the storage jobs that have happened so far and that he's available to have more stuff stored when needed. He then overhears Zeke and Kate wondering how they can get Donna onto the New York bandwagon and Kate thinks she can come up with something if they can get hold of Donna's sketchbook.
Lyn tries her best to avoid Paul but he catches her none the less and calls her over to thank her for whatever it is she is doing with Rebecca. She thinks this means she is off the hook but sadly no, it isn't, the end goal hasn't been reached yet.
Charlie's
After taking Toadie's order (he's camped out there while work is being done in his office), she heads back to the bar to chat to the newly arrived Lyn. She updates Rebecca on Paul's latest demands - she is to sing Paul's praises and to help keep up the illusion to Paul, suggests that the two of them have lunch at Number 32. Rebecca is only too happy to accept especially after Lyn mentions the M word - Michael!
When Lyn leaves, Rebecca quickly calls Michael to ask what he is doing at 12.30 today... (She isn't meeting Lyn until 1pm at #32).
Number 28
Kate does her best to distract Donna whilst Zeke tries to find and then extract Donna's sketchbook but sadly fails at the final hurdle and Donna takes it into her possession to protect it.
Lassiters Complex
Kate is still on her mission (they've decamped to the complex now) and ropes Declan into helping her extract the book which is now in Donna's bag. The two guys aren't successful at all, despite the cute Indy aiding too, and eventually Kate takes drastic actions - she tips a plate of chocolate cakes onto Donna's lap! This causes enough of a distraction to allow Zeke to carefully extract the winning prize before she notices it's gone!
Charlie's
Kate reports into the guys that they've only got a small window of opportunity because Donna knows the book is gone - she's even got an idea too but notes that it's going to cost. Lucas again overhears and hands over some cash to them for her to use.
Declan overhears that his mum is going out for a long lunch (she arranged to meet Kate to talk when she returns) and quizzes her about her lunch. She moans that Paul checking up on her is bad enough without him doing so too! "We're just having lunch," she tells him, adding that she knows what she is doing before exiting the pub.
Harold's Store
Lyn compares Paul to a character from one of Summer's zombie movies the way he suddenly keeps appearing when he suddenly appears at the counter. He's after an update and Lyn reports that they are having lunch today.
Number 32
A newly showered Michael is drying his hair as when there is a knock on the door - Rebecca. "You're early," he remarks she replies that he is running late as she passes him and enters the house.
Harold's Store
Paul wants more info from Lyn and she replies that they are having soup! Realising this isn't what he wants to hear, she adds that she doesn't expect to add any more to what he already knows.
PAUL: And what is that?
LYN: That you broke her heart.
PAUL: I was hoping that you might give me something to go on.
LYN: You just don't get it do you?
PAUL: (puzzled) ...
LYN: Rebecca is loyal and she is proud and for some unknown reason she loved you.
PAUL: Yeah, well we'll get back there again.
LYN: Oh no, no, no, you don't get back with someone like Rebecca. (spelling it out for him) You cheated on her Paul and then you clawed you way back into her heart and you promised to be faithful and then you broke that promise. (Paul puts his head down) Imagine if she did that to you? Imagine how that would feel?
Number 32
"Not so easy to forgive now is it?" we hear Lyn say after we cut to #32 moments before Rebecca and Michael begin pashing!
Number 32
"You're early," Lyn remarks when she gets home to find Rebecca waiting alone for her. She swithers whether its okay for them to have lunch, claiming Michael is busy, but Lyn insists on lunch going ahead although when Michael appears from his room she friendly chastises him for his bad manners in not keeping Rebecca company! "My apologies," he jokes with the ladies then rejects Lyn's offer to join them for lunch.
Number 22
Declan notices that his mum doesn't appear happy when he arrives home. She admits she doesn't know if she can keep on sneaking around - especially coming back to the lie after being so happy with Michael. "I don't know how long I can do it for," she tells him tearfully but quickly hides her emotions when Kate and Zeke enter the house looking for her.
Kate gets straight to the point when she and Zeke enter the bedroom - can they borrow Charlie's for Donna's "thing". Rebecca gives her authorisation and the two of them quickly depart to continue with the plan and Declan pulls his mum in for a reassuring hug.
Number 28
Kate ropes Lucas into taking Donna bowling to keep her out of the way while they finish "the thing" and is told to bring Donna to Charlie's at 5pm. "And you've to be done by 4.30" she tells Susan who promises to do her best when Lyn arrives to help. Next up is getting Sophie involved - she's on music duties.
SOPHIE: Boring.
KATE: Ah with Zeke.
SOPHIE: Cool!
Zeke volunteers to get all the PA equipment and lights (as well as raiding Donna's wardrobe for the clothes she's already made) and departs with Sophie to make a start.
KATE: So what do you think?
SUSAN: Its great... lets just hope it works!
KATE: It has to!
Charlie's
Toadie is still doing is legal work and takes another call from frantic Michelle (she called earlier to get advice from him) as Rebecca rushes into the bar to tell everyone that Donna is about to arrive. And right enough seconds later she and a limping Lucas enter the bar.
DONNA: Is your foot okay?
LUCAS: I'll live.
DONNA: Who'd have thought those balls could be so heavy.
Rebecca catches Donna the bar and she gushes to her about her newly discovered love of bowling.
DONNA: It's like a religion but with really good shoes.
REBECCA: Oooh.
She then retreats behind the bar as MC Zeke catches Donna's attention before describing the monstrosities... sorry Donna Brown's retrospective collection. Despite Team Ramsay Street's best communal effort, Donna isn't enthralled at what they did and walks out of the bar!
Lassiters Park
Kate catches up with Donna and apologises to her although Donna isn't sure why she is saying sorry given she just walked out of her own fashion show. "How Saffron is that?" she asks Kate. Kate slowly teases her out of her shell before admitting that she doesn't want her to go but thinks she should go.
Charlie's
It's a very sombre atmosphere Donna finds when she and Kate re- enter the bar but it quickly changes when Donna gives them a tongue lashing... ending with confirmation she is going to go to New York.
DONNA: I told you I was a drama queen.
Lucas asks what changed her mind and she opens up to say initially she feared letting Ringo down but Kate made her see that not going would let all of them down if she didn't go.
Toadie approaches Rebecca to ask for her advice on a case he is working on (the Michelle one and it's apparently an area she studied on [when she did her law stuff]) and they retreat to her office area to discuss it. When they get there he gives her the background - he took out an AVO on her hubby after he assaulted her but she's now taken him back and they were fine for a bit until he started on her again. Mrs M has changed her mind on pressing charges against hubby because Mr M claims he didn't mean what he did etc and things will be different from now on.
"I just wish that I could convince her to continue with the case," Toadie moans to her. Rebecca gives her opinion - she doesn't think he can because Mrs M has to make the break herself. He hints that he does agree with her before revealing some more about the case - Hubby is getting Mrs M to sign a statement of no complaint, which apparently puts him in the clear. Rebecca asks for clarification on what that is and Toadie explains that it basically means Mrs M accepts that hubby assaulted her and waves her right to press charges in perpetuity.
Toadie thanks her for being a sounding board (he'd already guessed the reply she'd give) but as he hobbles away (he's still on crutches) it's like a lightbulb has gone off in Rebecca's mind over what he's just said.
Number 32
Michael is relaxing listening to his music when he receives a caller and is surprised to find its Rebecca. He assures her that is safe because Lyn and the girls have gone for pizza. She comes straight to the point - she can't carry on with all this sneaking around.
REBECCA: It's not me and its not you either.
MICHAEL: I um understand.
REBECCA: But I don't want to lose you. I want us to be together and I'm going to find a way to make that happen as quickly as possible.
MICHAEL: That's fantastic.
REBECCA: But it's going to be really tricky and I need you to be patient with me.
MICHAEL: Yes sure, I understand, you do whatever you need to.
REBECCA: Are you sure?
MICHAEL: Of course.
Rebecca is so happy to hear that and the two of them embrace as we head into the final commercial break.
Number 22
Rebecca is beautifying herself when Paul arrives home and they exchange information about how their day has been, including the bit about Lyn having lunch with Rebecca. Paul then asks if he can smell right, that one his favourite dishes is cooking in the oven and she confirms it is and tells him to find a bottle of wine to accompany it, which he is only too happy to do and do.
As he heads downstairs, Rebecca gets out a sexy camisole slip from a drawer and holds it up against herself, almost imagining herself wearing it (again).
