Diane and Declan conspiring to bring Paul down.
Declan kissing Candace; Kate catching them out.
Chris being bullied on the basketball court.
Chris being suspended from school.
Lyn telling Summer to put space between her and Chris for a while.
Summer inviting Chris to stay with them for a while.
Charlie's
Chris thanks Summer for letting him stay; Summer can't believe his parents kicked him out - she thinks older people freak out about this stuff more than them. He tells her he's going through this alone because he doesn't know anyone else who's been through the same thing.
As they leave the bar Declan, sitting at a table, receives a message from Candace, asking him to hang out. Diana marches in, marchily. She reminds Declan that this time tomorrow the Robinsons will no longer be in control of Lassiter's, and she needs him to be focused. He knows - but he has other stuff going on. She tells him deal with it tonight and get it over with.
Harold's Store
Donna is helping Kate clear up the store, and Kate's in a bad mood over Declan. Donna suggests she throw things to make herself feel better. At that moment Declan comes in to talk to Kate but she's having none of it and she tells Donna to lock the door once Declan's gone.
He leaves, confused, and Donna reminds Kate that Declan has no idea she knows about him and Candace - she has to stop bottling it up and talk to him.
Number 22
Rebecca and Declan talk about how India is growing up so fast, and Rebecca comments how Declan was in a high chair, then running Lassiter's before she knew it! She's so proud of him, but he tells his mum that she shouldn't be. Rebecca insists on knowing what's going on, and he tells her that he and Kate split up - it was his fault for shutting her out and spending too much time at Lassiter's.
They talk about how Paul leaving Lassiter's has made a big difference to Rebecca and Paul's marriage, and how much she doesn't want him to go back in six months' time. She also reminds him that her son needs a life outside of work, and he shouldn't let Kate go without a fight.
Harold's Store
Summer offers Chris a coffee but he doesn't want one, and leaves. Summer walks to the counter and tells Lyn and Toadie that Chris still won't talk to her, so Lyn suggests a counsellor. Whilst Summer goes to get a cupcake, Toadie wonders how she's coping with it all.
LYN: Too well for my liking.
TOADIE: It's good that she's being a friend to him.
LYN: Yeah, well, not if she's doing it to distract herself.
Meanwhile, Summer calls her friend, Carly...
Charlie's
Chris plays pool. Tash walks in wearing little more than a belt, and sits with Andrew who quickly walks off. Summer comes in the bar to see how Chris is, and Tash rather insensitively barges in, wondering how good Chris is with clothes and styling - you know, being gay and all.
Summer is furious with Tash, but Tash still doesn't get it.
SUMMER: This is his life, not a shopping opportunity.
TASH: When you've ditched little Miss Fringe, come find me.
Chris tells Summer she doesn't have to defend him, and he owes her a lot. And in walks Jason, the brother of her friend Carly, who came out when he was 17. She introduces him to Chris so he has someone to talk to. How sweet is she?
Lassiter's
Outside the hotel entrance Declan tells Diana that he's ready. They are going to use Paul's proxy vote on the board to pass a vote of no confidence against Rosemary.
DIANA: We cut off the dragon's head. Then all her supporters go down. Paul included.
at Rosemary being a dragon.
Diana reminds Declan that they have to act quickly - they have to each call half the execs and confirm an emergency conference call tonight at midnight, New York time - that's two hours from now.
DIANA: Then bye- bye Robinsons.
Outside Harold's Store Donna encourages Kate to go and talk to Declan, and she agrees.
Charlie's
Andrew reports to his dad that Declan and Diana met just now. Paul tells Andrew to go watch Diana whilst he watches Declan.
Kate comes in and approaches Declan at the bar - she has time to talk, and it's now or never. He agrees. Cut to moments later where Kate is complaining that he shut her out, and he tells her that if she forgives him, he'll never do it again. Declan tells her loves her.
Kate tells him that she saw him and Candace on the mezzanine, and that she can't believe she meant so little to him, and storms out. Diana sends Declan a text: one hour to the conference call. He runs out, and Paul follows him.
At another table Jason, Chris and Summer chat at a table, but it's really awkward; Chris isn't enjoying this one bit. He rejects Jason's offer of showing him some good nightclubs, and when Tash interrupts to ask Jason about his fabulous jacket, Chris scarpers.
Number 26
Summer and Chris are arguing loudly - she says he needs support, he tells her he doesn't want her to interfere anymore. Lyn runs in and shuts them up, makes them sit down. She tells Chris that he *does* need support, but from his own family, who Chris admits have tried to get in touch with him. She encourages him to call them - he only gets one set of parents.
Lassiter's
In Declan's office Diana is calling the execs to set up a conference call. Andrew watches her through the door, but she sees him and calls him in. He demands to know what's going on, but she refuses to tell him anything.
Number 22
Paul is spying on Declan who's just gone into the Ramsay house. Andrew bursts in and tells his dad that Diana was on the phone to a Joanna, and has been calling New York - something's happening in one hour. Paul says he'll call Rosemary and tells Andrew to follow Declan.
Harold's Store
Chris is chatting with his parents, whilst Summer and Lyn look on. Lyn is encouraged by what's happening and reminds Summer that parents make mistakes and they just needed time to adjust to it. Like Summer needed time to adjust to Steph's news about the baby. Summer is angry, though, and doesn't appreciate Lyn's concern that she's seeing more of Chris whilst she's still trying to get over him.
Chris comes over to see Lyn and Summer and says that he's going home with his parents to sort things out. Summer is upset, and tells her nan that if it backfires it will all be her fault.
Number 22
Paul is computer- conferencing Rosemary, and informs her that Diana's planning something - she wants Lassiter's and has her own agenda. Rosemary suggests this is her fault - she got Diana offside when she told her to quiet about Paul's embezzlement. Paul thinks that Diana's planning a coup, so Rosemary says they must act. And fast!
Number 24
Declan is thumping on the door to try and see Kate, ignoring a call from Diana. Inside the house Kate refuses to answer the door and storms to her room, leaving Donna to answer the door. Declan reminds Donna that she knows what it's like to make a mistake like he did with Candace. Donna concedes that she does, but she can't make Kate talk to him. She shuts the door leaving Declan to pick up a voicemail from Diana saying that she'll meet him at 1700 for the vote.
Lassiter's
Diana waltzes into Declan's office to find Paul in the chair. He tells her that he's just had a chat with Rosemary and they compared stories. On top of that, Declan was too busy with his girlfriend to make the calls to the board, and also - Diana doesn't have a vote on the board. Rosemary has fired her.
PAUL: Diana, you are no longer part of this company. You see, you should have got out when I gave you the opportunity. Oh no, not you! And *that* was the second biggest mistake you ever made. The *biggest* was crossing me in the first place.
DIANA: This isn't over yet.
PAUL: Afraid it is. You see, I've just destroyed you. And Declan's next.
