Steph and Toadie telling Lyn they'll pay for their wedding.
Lyn realising that Paul is Toadie's new client.
Number 26
Summer is finishing breakfast, and leaves Lyn to her musings at the table. Steph comes in wanting to borrow her mum's casserole recipe for Toadie as he really liked it last time. Lyn tries to pretend that nothing's wrong, and goes to get the recipe.
Number 22
Rebecca wonders why Paul was so late home last night - what's his big project that he's working on? Paul refuses to say, and is very cagey about his activities.
Paul asks Declan to do some work for him today, on his day off. Declan doesn't want to, but his mum encourages him. Paul is having an event for the PirateNet advertising clients, and he wants Declan to schmooze them at Charlie's - as the young, upcoming manager he's the best person for the job. Declan reluctantly agrees, and Andrew is narked that he wasn't chosen for the job. Rebecca kisses her husband, thanking him for making an effort with Dec.
The Boys' Club
Lucas is putting a table together, with Lou watching. Michael turns up - he actually came to escape the music that Natasha is blaring out, only to find more noise here.
Lou comments to Michael that Natasha reminds him of Donna who was also a tearaway when she first moved here. And now she's going to uni and driving and everything - a real grown up! Michael shows Lucas an advert for someone to teach mechanics to young people. Lucas declares that he's not interested - Dan was the teacher in his family.
Number 22
Back at the Robinsons', Declan is hunting for his car keys, and Donna appears with them - she took his car out this morning without asking. Lucas points out that she's left the lights on, and as Declan is leaving, Donna yells that the car also needs petrol...
She offers Lucas a gift for helping her to drive - big furry dice!
The Boys' Club
Michael is marvelling at Lou's gaudy lamp which he says he's taking to the second hand shop.
LOU: Op shops will take anything that works.
MICHAEL: It's gold. And not in a good way.
Lou leaves to go to the store, and Michael tries to dump the lamp in a bin - but Lucas catches him. He says that Lou has a good eye for things, so it could be worth something.
Lucas asks Michael about the teaching job, and Michael says he has to do an interview and a workplace assessment - and that's it. He has to appoint before the end of the financial year, though, so hell interview him this afternoon. After all, he has no- one else for the job.
Harold's Store
Kate and Lyn are trying to pack an order for a customer, but Lyn seems all flustered and leaves Kate to do it on her own. Steph comes in panicking - her printer's broken, and she needs to use the one in Lyn's office. Then Bec and Paul arrive for Rebecca's order - and Kate goes out the back to get it for her.
Lyn approaches Paul, demanding to have word with him. She wonders what Paul wants with Toadie - she saw them last night at Charlie's. She knows that Paul is dragging Toad into one of his dodgy schemes. Paul refutes that - he and Toadie have legal relationship and nothing else.
Steph appears at that moment, and thanks her mum for the use of her printer. Paul looks at Steph then, as she leaves, back at Lyn. He reminds Lyn that he has a confidential agreement with Toadie - about something that he thinks Lyn already knows. He has no intention of broadcasting his arrangement, and for the same of harmony in her family, she had better do the same...
Summer watches the altercation from the counter.
Lassiter's Hotel
Inside the hotel Paul is on the phone to Toadie telling him to keep a leash on Lyn, he's trying to keep the arrangement confidential. Declan comes in to get some plates and asks Lisa to take them to Charlie's which she agrees to, and they run into Natasha and Andrew who is dressed in his work attire. He tells his dad he's come down to help out - after all, he knows how important this presentation is. Paul gives in and tells him to go and see what Declan needs doing.
Natasha thinks Andrew would prefer to spend the afternoon with her, but Andrew insists that he needs to prove himself to Paul - and he won't be taking any orders from Declan, thank you.
Charlie's
Over at Charlie's Declan challenges Paul on having to manage Andrew. But Paul points out that he and Andrew need to get over their squabbles and support this event for Rebecca's sake. Declan concedes. Reluctantly.
Later at the event Andrew offers to fold the napkins for Declan, who thanks him and goes to check on the barbecue. Paul introduces Rebecca to a big- shot PirateNet client, Craig, and she warmly welcomes him. However, Paul and Bec are now panicking as they need more waiting staff and don't want to get agency staff in as it will cost too much. Andrew overhears and offers to get some mates to help out for free. Declan gives him twenty minutes to find people.
Harold's Store
Andrew is trying to convince Natasha to come in and help out at Charlie's, the selling point being that loads of advertising clients will be there - possibly looking for new models! Natasha doesn't want to be on the poster and a waitress, but agrees for his sake. Andrew then tries to persuade Kate and Donna - and Summer - who all agree. Lyn doesn't look too impressed, but Summer points out that she can keep a better eye on Paul if she's over at the bar...
Later at Harold's Lou is serving Lucas and apologising for the wait - half the staff have jumped ship! Lucas has a tab at the store and realises he should probably pay for it now; as he takes out $50, Lou sees all the cash in Lucas' wallet. Lucas tells him it's to pay Libby back the fine she paid for him - and he can afford it now he's going to be a teacher, now! Lou wonders how different it is to teach a whole group rather than just teaching Donna.
Erinsborough High School
Lucas arrives for his interview and Michael apologises to him that there has been another applicant - it's Steph. Well, this isn't awkward at all.
Steph comes out of her interview, giving Michael her CV for him to copy. Lucas confesses he didn't bring one. Whilst Michael goes to photocopy Steph's info, Lucas and she squabble over the job. Steph points out that she can't work at the garage for much longer - this is something she can do. Lucas poinst out that he needs the money. Steph says she does, too, but Lucas reminds her she has a rich lawyer fiancé. Michael returns to interview Lucas who feels awful that he didn't bring a resume with him.
Charlie's
Paul is making a speech to the PirateNet clients, effectively asking for more investment and a greater return. Declan grudgingly admits to Andrew that the staff issue all worked out, and Andrew thanks him. Paul comes over, pleased to see the two boys getting on. He says that he and Rebecca are going to give some clients a tour of Lassiter's, and leaves them to it.
Donna complains to Andrew that the big advertising client, Craig, is sleazing on all the girls, and wonders where Declan is. Andrew tells her that he'll deal with the situation - his dad left them both in charge.
Lassiter's Complex
Outside Harold's Store Steph sees Michael and Lucas sitting for a coffee. She's immediately annoyed and suggests to them both that this is a boy's club thing, and that it means Michael is playing favourites. She starts competing, stating that Lucas has no experience with kids. Michael thinks they should ALL have a coffee together, but Steph doesn't want to, and strops off.
Lucas is frustrated with Michael that he won't keep to his 'mate's agreement' they had, referring to him as 'Mr Bureaucracy'. Michael retorts that in his job, he has to do things by the book, which Lucas hates.
LUCAS: By The Book: gotta be the worst three words in the English language.
MICHAEL: Yeah? What about 'no more beer'.
LUCAS: Oooh. They're bad.
They continue to bicker about the interview and the job.
Charlie's
Craig is demanding more alcohol from Andrew who says he's onto it. Craig then asks Declan, as well. Declan catches Andrew trying to serve alcohol and takes the bottle from him, wondering where the waiting staff are. Andrew says he put all the girls in the kitchen as Craig is hassling them. Declan wonders where Andrew got the idea that all of a sudden he's in charge - they need staff out the front. Andrew says he was trying to help, and Declan demands they all get out to the bar right now.
Across the bar, Steph is telling Lyn about the interview and the other applicant being Lucas. But Lyn isn't really listening - she wants to know if Summer has found out anything about Paul. Summer hasn't.
Craig pinches Kate on the bottom, and Declan confronts him, reminding Craig that he asked him to treat the staff with respect. Craig claims it was a bit of fun, and puts an arm around Kate, touching her waist. She pushes him away, and Declan grabs Craig, trying to take him outside. Paul and Rebecca return at that moment, to see Craig and Declan collapsed on the floor. Andrew looks rather smug.
Number 22
Paul is trying to get hold of Craig on the phone, and it's not working. Rebecca is on the sofa with Kate and Declan, telling him to learn to control his temper; Andrew observes the fall- out from the kitchen.
Paul puts the phone down - the agency has dumped PirateNet and all their clients. Paul is so angry, he loses it with Declan, saying he should have known that Declan couldn't handle the responsibility - it was completely beyond him. Paul is furious that Declan couldn't put his own feelings aside for one event, and says that the world doesn't revolve around Declan Napier!
Declan throws his jacket and tie off - he quits! Paul tells him he can't quit, because he's already sacked. Declan storms off whilst Paul is all wide- eyes and poisonous.
