Recap
Kate telling her friends that the show she was invited to do involved pole dancing.
Natasha saying that she's seen stuff she's not supposed to as the Principal's daughter.
Chris trying to talk about basketball training to the team; them walking off.
Michael asking Chris why the school accepted a bribe for the Captain position on the basketball team - where did that rumour come from?
Father Corrigan convincing Lyn that marriage is as much about friendship and devotion as love...
Lyn thinks she can help Toadie and Steph fall in love.
Lyn asking Steph and Toad if she can help make the perfect wedding.
Erinsborough High School
Lyn is dropping a cake off for Summer and runs into Callum and Sophie. She tells Cal that she's going to need his help now she's organising the wedding: what are Toadie's favourite things? Cal says they're basic: pizza, footie, wrestling, old cars...
Lyn likes the idea of classic cars. Callum tells her that his help will cost $10 an hour, three hours minimum, with commission for Sophie, his manager. Ha!
As Lyn leaves, Cal and Soph run into Michael who asks them if they're helping to set up the tea, and they say yes - they've bought lots of cake. Across the corridor, Summer is tearing down one of Natasha's posters and replaces it with the afternoon tea poster. Natasha fumes.
In the classroom Griffo asks Harry if he'll be at basketball practice as they're voting in a new Captain. Natasha overhears, and once Harry leaves, Griffo thanks Natasha for the heads up. Summer walks in, and Natasha suggests to Griffo that the bribe idea was actually all Summer's - she has the brains, after all.
GRIFFO: Oi, Hoyland! Thanks for stuffing up the team! Real smart to get your boyfriend to bribe the coach! I know you were behind the whole thing.
SUMMER: You're deluded!
Harry says nothing.
Number 22
Declan sits on the couch with India, whilst Kate tries to entertain her in some horrendous Mary Poppins/Little Bo Peep/Clown outfit. Seriously AWFUL. She's apparently doing a kids' party with Terry's troupe - it's the only work they can get at the moment. Kate's grateful she has teaching, but Terry only has the dance troupe and nothing else. If they get no more business, what will he do? Declan jokingly suggests that Terry take up teaching, too, which gives Kate an idea...
Erinsborough High School
In the classroom RandomTeacher goes to get the kids' test results. Griffo asks Summer where Chris is, and Harry storms out. He sneaks into Michael's office to do a school PA announcement. He reports that the rumour about Chris is wrong - there was no bribe. Which means the rumours about Summer aren't true, either. Griffo realises that Natasha put him up to it.
Michael bursts in on Harry and tells him he was handling the situation - he knew there was no bribe.
HARRY: So why didn't you get on the PA system?
Michael wonders if Harry knows who started the rumours, and Summer appears, reporting that it was Natasha - who also comes out the classroom. She admits she did it, but it was meant to be a joke. Natasha appears to get off scot free as Michael doesn't reprimand her other than to say her behaviour isn't good enough.
Harold's Store
Lyn is on the phone to someone about hiring something for the wedding. No, I can't be more specific. She rushes off, asking Lou to keep an eye on things. But he's meant to be looking after Ben who has a Curriculum Day. ClownKate and Terry come in, and call Ben over to their table. Kate thinks that Terry could give Ben some advice, as he's one of the best kid dancers she knows.
TERRY: You want a tip?
BEN: Yeah!
TERRY: Just don't do it, son. Don't do it.
KATE: Terry...
TERRY: No, seriously, I have wasted years of my life chasing something which has led to this: peddling my troupe to dance for kids. It's just a waste of time.
Ben looks shattered. Terry tells Kate they have to go.
Carpenter's Garage
Lucas is fixing Michael's old car when he arrives, and asks him to write his credit card details down so he can order some parts. Michael does - and lets Lucas know he has discipline problems with Tash. Lucas reminds him that she may be his daughter, but at school she's just another student. Michael likes that idea.
Erinsborough High School
Michael interrupts a lesson to ask Task to publicly stand up in front of the class and admit that she made up the rumours about Chris, and she's sorry. She has had to do this in front of every class, and this is the last one, so she takes her seat. Everyone's laughing at her.
Later, Natasha is cleaning the blackboard. The other students watch outside, laughing, and Summer comes in, telling Natasha not to hide away. Clearly she doesn't want to face the other students. Natasha tells Summer to leave her alone and give her Dr Phil act a break.
Later again Andrew comes into the classroom where Natasha has still not cleaned one blackboard in the one classroom. He offers to help her. In the corridor outside Harry is trying to apologise to Summer, but she's not really interested. Natasha then finds a poster of her on her locker with 'liar' written all over it. She guesses that Summer must have done it.
Charlie's
Paul is complaining to Rebecca that no- one is making orders from her gourmet menu, and she reminds him that the orders for sandwiches and fruit are for kids. She also has one order for cakes from Michael for his afternoon tea.
Lyn walks in, much to Paul's annoyance - wasn't she leaving town. Lyn tells Paul she would miss him too much. She approaches Toadie at a table, and asks if he likes classic cars...she has some chauffer- driven convertible cars to show him. Toadie likes them, but reminds Lyn he wants to keep the wedding simple. Lyn lies and says it's actually Steph's idea - it's a gesture of thanks for all the lovely things he's done for her.
Erinsborough High School
Natasha is crying in Michael's office when Andrew comes in. She's cross that people think she's a loser (well, you kind of are...). Andrew tells her that she's hot, smart and cool - definitely not a loser, and people can say what they want. But Natasha cares what people think, and now her dad has wrecked everything! Of course, none of it is her fault, is it?!
Andrew promises to help her get her coolness back, as long as it doesn't involve hurting Harry or Summer. This doesn't please Tash, but she agrees.
Harold's Store
Declan is pulling glitter out of Kate's face and she laughs, saying that the kids liked it. She also needs to find a way of cheering Terry up. Lou suggests finding him a good hairdresser. Lyn is looking at wedding dresses at a table, the white meringue variety. Steph comes in, and asks Kate and Donna to make her dress for her - very plain and simple, and she doesn't want white. Lyn rolls her eyes whilst Kate eagerly takes the job and says she'll speak to Donna about a design.
Steph leaves, but catches her mum approaching Kate, and waits to see what will happen. Lyn gives Kate a different brochure and tells her to make a more romantic dress instead. Furious, Steph orders her mum to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Lyn asks Ben to leave, and Steph reminds her mum that she doesn't want a dress that's fussy. Lyn suggests that in order to make the wedding look real, it has to be more romantic... Oh, she's good.
LYN: It's got to be believable, Steph. People are going to expect all the bells and whistles.
Lyn tells her daughter that if she doesn't give her guests that, they will start asking questions. Steph reluctantly agrees.
Later, Toadie comes in to find Steph sitting at a table, who tells him that they have to have the whole shebang, otherwise people will wonder what's going on with the wedding.
Terry bursts in, and sees Lyn before Kate comes out of the kitchen to greet him. But Terry seems rather smitten with Lyn, following her as she walks to Steph's table.
KATE: Do you want to take a seat?
TERRY: Why?
KATE: Because we're here to sort you out.
TERRY: Who is that beautiful woman?
DECLAN: (disbelieving) Lyn?!
KATE: That's my boss.
TERRY: Look, I'm just gonna step out and tidy myself up a bit, okay?
Terry leaves.
KATE: He likes her!
Erinsborough High School
Outside the school, Michael is setting up his afternoon tea when Paul and Becca arrive with cakes. Michael is surprised when Paul presents him with an invoice; he thought perhaps this would be a donation, seeing as it's for charity? Becca pulls Paul away, and Natasha catches up with him - can she cut her hair for the Face Of Lassiter's campaign? Paul reminds her that unless her dad signs the permission sheet, there is no campaign.
Indoors, Natasha is complaining to Andrew that her dad first humiliated her, and now won't back her for the campaign. She spots him talking to Harry and interrupts - she needs to speak to him, right now! Despite the fact that Michael is obviously busy, Natasha has determined that her needs overtake anything he might have to do, so she rudely insists that he sign that contract for Paul right now. Michael tells her he'll sign nothing.
Michael walks off, and Natasha is left reeling that she was the centre of attention when she wanted to be.
The world is a cruel place.
Later on, outside, the kids are all sitting at some long tables for the tea. Michael is making a speech. Callum tells Sophie how good the chocolate cake is.
SOPHIE: You're gonna make yourself sick. Or worse.
CALLUM: Worse?
SOPHIE: You can die from eating too much chocolate cake, you know, I read it on the internet.
CALLUM: Be a good way to go...
Harry appears behind Summer - has she seen Andrew and Tash? She hasn't, and she doesn't care. Michael continues to make a speech about how a local business has offered them barbecues, an important part of Australian culture. The kids all cheer, and the back of the truck opens up to reveal....
Natasha and Andrew, kissing in the back of the truck, in front of the barbecues. The kids whoop and cheer, but Natasha and Andrew don't stop. Michael orders them out of the truck, RIGHT NOW.
Natasha looks more than smug. What a horrible girl.
