Doug issuing Karl with an official warning.
Susan wanting to know why Lyn is unhappy with the wedding.
Previously on Neighbours
Libby admitting to Doug that she isn't good at the whole dating thing.
Donna being arrested.
Police station
Constable Page interviews Donna about the theft but despite the evidence she has, Donna denies that it was her - it was Naomi. She eventually gives up and sends Donna back to her cell.
Rebecca tells Paul that they have to do something after witnessing Donna being locked up again although Paul and Toadie have their doubts given what has happened/her past. "We have her word and that's good enough for me" she tells them both before Constable Page comes over to tell them they are all heading to #22 to search the house.
Number 22
Constable Page and her silent partner search the house and urges them (Kate, Declan, Ringo, Lucas and Karl who's popped over) to share any information with her as she takes Donna's laptop away.
Karl tries to explain to the others why he had to say something but they give him a hard time especially as he can't be 100% certain that it was Donna.
Police station
Ringo pays Donna a visit as she sits in her lonely cell. She is rather happy to see him as she hates it in there. He asks for her to explain it to him and she replies that it was Naomi who set her up, because she blames her for them breaking up.
DONNA: I know I've done a lot of crazy things but I wouldn't set her up, I wouldn't do that.
RINGO: ...
DONNA: Ringo you know me better than anyone, you know when I lie. Just look at me and you'll now I'm telling the truth.
RINGO: ...
Number 28
Karl returns home to his family and gets a bit of hard time for a) reporting it to the police and b) going over to #22. He point out to Libby that it was her Mr Perfect who called the police, so decides on an impromptu visit to the hospital to see him. Susan tries to stop her but Karl wants her to go.
Hospital
Libby marches into the hospital and demands that Doug speaks to her even though he is chatting away to another doctor when she arrives. Reluctantly he follows her into his office and she has a go at him for reporting Donna to the police. He tries to say he had no choice but she thinks otherwise until Doug points out that failure to report it could have resulted him in and her dad losing their jobs.
Lib decides its time to leave but Doug wants an apology first and wants her to repeat:
DOUG: I, Libby Kennedy was wrong.
LIBBY: If you think you can flirt your way out of this... you can think again!
Police station
Donna lies on the bed in her cell as 'Soldier on' by The Temper Trap begins.
Number 28
The song continues as Naomi pays Ringo a visit after hearing that Donna has been arrested - she wants to know if he is okay but he gives her short thrift and closes the door on her.
Police station/Number 28
We then cut back and forth to Ringo and Donna both playing with their respective rings from each other as the music plays us into the first commercial break.
And today's trip down memory lane is a picture of Paul Robinson from 1990.
Number 22 (next day)
Rebecca comes off the phone from the police and the evidence against Donna is mounting - her laptop had the information she was collecting about Naomi on it, so it looks like Donna was stalking her.
Ringo comes into the livingroom to tell the others (Paul, Lucas, Declan, Kate and Zeke) that Donna didn't do it - there is no way she'd stay in a police cell all night if she were innocent, she'd confess all to get home. He then becomes annoyed at how sceptical the others are that she is innocent, so tells them that he will prove it.
Police station
Donna is being processed for release (having her fingerprints taken) as Toadie tells Paul, Rebecca and Kate that she is being released although is being charged with breaking and entering and theft.
Constable Page gives them the go ahead to talk to Donna and she them that they know she is innocent. "Of course we do," Rebecca replies but Paul isn't as she's done some impulsive things in the past but Donna is cool with that as he is at least being honest. "Either way Donna, I still want you home," he warmly adds though.
Donna then notices that the guys aren't there, she thought Ringo would have been too. "That's a long story" Kate pipes up to say and Donna interprets that as he thinks she is guilty but Kate quickly rejects that suggestion.
Naomi's house
Ringo with Declan, Zeke and Lucas rock up to Naomi's house (she's out) wanting to go in and find the evidence to clear Donna. Unfortunately her housemates aren't home, so Ringo wants them to break in instead. Lucas is aghast at them doing that but Ringo turns the emotional thumbscrews and Declan agrees to help with Lucas and Zeke acting as lookouts.
Number 22
Donna gets a welcome home hug from Libby before she retreats to her bedroom. Rebecca offers her and Susan a cuppa although admits she could be done with something stronger after Const. Page made them all feel guilty! "I guess she's just doing her job," Libby says and Rebecca hopes that she is proven wrong! Susan adds that Const. Page won't admit she is wrong either and then Libby goes off on a tangent about people having two different opinions which puzzles the pair of them until she tells them what Doug suggested - that she can't admit it when she is wrong.
LIBBY: Which is so not true.
SUSAN: 'Course not.
Lib has picked up the way her mum said that and asks if she doesn't agree. Susan doesn't exactly want to reply to that tone!
LIBBY: Well that doesn't automatically mean you're right.
SUSAN: Because you're never wrong?
LIBBY: (struggling for words) A difference of opinion does not mean I'm wrong.
REBECCA: Biscuit?!
LIBBY: (dawning on her) God he's right.
Naomi's place
Ringo and Declan have made it into the house and they begin looking for evidence. Declan has found something and wants them to leave so they can call the police but Ringo wants to see where he found it and isn't impressed at Declan trying to fob him off of seeing it. "You don't want to go in there," Declan tries to tell him but its too late, he has and when he does he discovers that Naomi has made a shrine with pictures of him/them and high up on a shelf is a mannequin's head with a blonde wig on it and her missing medical file from the hospital. Declan retrieves the file and puts it on her bed to make it easier for the police before they both exit the house, with Ringo looking rather shell- shocked.
Commercial break later and Constable Page is being told where to find the evidence to prove Naomi's guilt just as the lady in question returns home wanting to know what is going on.
Hospital
Libby arrives in a more sedate manner than the last time to speak to Doug. She admits that she was wound up last night but just as it looks like she is about to apologise, Karl interrupts them. Doug stops Karl, telling him that "this is important".
DOUG: I believe Libby was just about to admit that she was wrong.
KARL: (surprised) She was?
DOUG: I know, I can hardly believe it myself.
Lib asks her dad to give them a minute and when he does, Doug asks if she wants to continue this discussion in his office... a bit of private time!
LIBBY: You think you've got it all worked out, haven't you?
DOUG: I've got you worked out! Go on, say it.
LIBBY: I wasn't going to admit anything.
DOUG: No?
LIBBY: No! I was going to tell you that you are an arrogant, pompous, egotistical, arrogant man.
(By this point they are just about in his office and you can sense the UST increasing!)
DOUG: You said that.
LIBBY: Great hair and perfect teeth...
DOUG: My office?
And they can't get in there quick enough to have a pash!
Charlie's
Rebecca suggests to Donna that she spends some time with her dad since she is a bit down in the dumps but she replies that she can't as he is interstate at the moment.
Karl and Susan enter the bar and both tell her that they're pleased to see her home and Karl hopes that she understands his role in it too as his hands were tied.
Ringo and Toadie enter too and she takes Ringo aside to chat to him. He tells her that the police arrested Naomi and that the file was at her house. Donna is relived at being in the clear and gives him a hug after he was feeling guilty about not realising how unstable Naomi was and not listening to her when she was trying to warn him.
They rejoin the others as Paul is ribbing Karl for falling for a fake wig and its hugs all- round for the man of the moment from Rebecca and Susan. "Least it's over now" Ringo says (he also told Donna about the shrine) but Karl pipes up to say it isn't. Toadie agrees with him and tells Ringo there is something else he needs to do.
Police station
Naomi spots Ringo as she exits the station to tell him that she has been charged but released on bail. She wants him to tell the police that it's all a misunderstanding because it's Donna that is behind it. Deadpan he replies that she hurt Donna and an officer comes over and hands Naomi an envelope.
NAOMI: What is it?
RINGO: This is a restraining order that forbids you from making contact with me.
Ringo then walks off and Naomi rips the envelope into pieces as we head into the final commercial break.
Number 28
Donna thanks Kate and Declan but Ringo especially for helping her get through recent events, even if they perhaps thought she did do it.
Just as everyone is beginning to relax, Ringo gets a call from a desperate Naomi. Karl tells him to hang up immediately but meantime Ringo reminds her that she can't call him. She ignores that, instead telling him that she really needs to see him at the Café on the High Street that they used to go to. "I'm not interested," he says but its too late, Naomi has cut him off.
When he gets off the phone, everyone wants to know what was said and he tells them that Naomi sounded really upset. "It's not your problem," Karl reminds him.
High Street
Naomi calls Ringo back and he is in two minds about it as his phone rings.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
Trouble at the school.
Ringo finding out that Naomi is in hospital.
Doug annoyed at Karl.
Ringo announcing he's quit being a paramedic.
Donna reassuring Ringo that its not his fault.
