Previously on Neighbours
Rebecca telling Andrew she wants Paul to send him home.
Andrew plotting revenge.
Number 22
Andrew checks out his wardrobe to try out some shirt and tie combos.
Number 26
Summer begs Steph to be allowed to hold a party for Andrew claiming it will be really good for him. Steph can see all the pitfalls of having a party so vetoes it because she doesn't trust Andrew. Summer tugs at Steph's heart- strings and promises her that "nothing will go wrong".
Mmm maybe it might, because during Summer's chat with Steph, Andrew was setting up a party invite on Facebook telling everyone about it and to 'bring your friends its gonna be wild'!
Lassiters Grounds
Declan and Kate run into some of his former footy mates and they catch up. Someone asks when he's coming back but Declan replies he's busy these days (they praise complements on Indy) before the group continuing with their run.
When they've gone, Kate asks if he misses footy and hanging out with the boys, which he replies no, "as long as I have my girls."
Charlie's
Kate quizzes Donna on whether Declan does miss footy/blokey stuff or not but the more they chat the more it seems that he has lost his 'maleness'. They decide that a male perspective is required to see if it's true or not and just at that, Zeke rocks into the bar and can immediately sense trouble and announces "whatever it is, I'm not doing it!"
Eden University
And we finally get to see the new Uni set although god knows which Uni they were basing it on when they designed it! The room is painted in yellow and green with orange doors, a huge red pillar and yellow columns. The seats are either green or orange and the same combo of colours for the signs on the walls. Psychedelic man!!!
Donna and Kate check out the clubs available at Uni but nothing is jumping out at them. Zeke comes over and announces that he will help on condition that he gets to choose the club.
Number 26
A stunned Harry (he can't believe Steph agreed) and Summer decorate the house with lanterns. When they are switched on, Harry has a 'moment' when looks at Summer in the light but when she mentions it, he quickly changes the topic of conversation onto why she is doing this.
SUMMER: Well I had this funny little feeling that Andrew was going to do something really stupid.
HARRY: Better for him to do it here where we can keep an eye on him huh?
SUMMER: Bingo.
Just at that, Andrew enters the house with a sub- woofer and reluctantly Summer agrees it can stay and paints on a "it will be fine" face when Harry quizzes her on it.
Number 22
As Andrew finishes getting ready, Rebecca comes in for a chat about the message he left his dad (Paul called her). She relays that Paul is impressed he's trying to make amends and adds if she shows him the same attitude then she may reconsider her decision to ask Paul to send him back to Sydney. Rebecca also agrees to let him attend the party but wants him home for 11pm.
ANDREW: What am I 12?
REBECCA: No, you're 16.
ANDREW: Don't you trust me?
REBECCA: People have to earn trust Andrew. (Pause) Do we understand each other?
ANDREW: (with a smirk on his face) We sure do.
REBECCA: Well for your sake I hope so.
Number 26
Summer thanks Steph again for the party as she makes her way out of #26 although she does leave an innuendo of what will happen if she breaks anything!
Andrew hands Summer a drink and she is surprised to see him in a suit, asking if he's going for the Beetles look!
Chris arrives and is impressed at the house. Andrew comments that tonight the house is for them to do as they wish for the night.
HARRY: We promised to look after it.
ANDREW: You promised mate.
Summer takes Chris through to check out the snacks and seconds after they've gone a group of 4 randomers arrive after seeing it on Facebook, adding that more are expected too including a bunch from West Waratah.
RANDOMER: Just wait until they arrive, they are going to rock.
(Later)
We cut back later to the party being in full swing. Summer is a bit paranoid given she hardly recognises the guests but Andrew reassures her that he does - they work for Paul. Harry stops Andrew as he and Summer make their way though to the kitchen for food, to ask if he's lost it for advertising the party on Facebook. Andrew pleads ignorance and when Harry reminds him that it will be Summer who cops it, he puts it down to Harry being jealous.
HARRY: I'm just looking out for her
ANDREW: Leave that up to me mate.
HARRY: You lied to her.
ANDREW: So what are you going to do tell Summer I've been a naughty boy?
HARRY: You're such a jerk.
ANDREW: See the whole angry nerd thing is not really a good look for you.
Harry has heard enough and makes to leave but Andrew catches him to say that he should know that life is unfair and you've got to make the most out of any opportunity you get. "But this is Summer's house" he again reminds Andrew.
ANDREW: Yes and your obsession of her is starting to get a bit creepy.
HARRY: You want to stuff everything up, go ahead you're on your own.
Harry departs as more randomers arrive and enter the house.
And as we head into the first commercial break, today's trip down memory lane is a picture of Felicity Scully from 1999 kissing some guy.
Number 30
Steph is keeping a nervous eye on her property from #30 until Rebecca tells her to "step away from the window."
Joking, Rebecca reminds Steph that they were teenagers once too and Steph adds that she doesn't want to go through that again! Rebecca tells Steph that her mum was a curtain twitcher adding that she knew she was in trouble for spending too much time in the car when the twitching stopped and the front light went on. Steph recalls that Lyn once shown a torch into the car when she'd been in there too long. "My boyfriend never wanted to park near the house again."
The noise suddenly increases and they both reassure themselves that its just kids having fun before making a beeline to the curtains!
REBECCA: We just have to learn to trust them.
STEPH: Yes... or risk turning into our mothers.
Harold's Store
Kate is surprised to see Harry at the store and he puts it down to the party being lame. He joins Chris (who has also bailed) at a table and they discuss the coach's rumoured fried food ban whilst waiting for the chips Harry ordered for them.
Steph and Rebecca enter the store (Rebecca wanted them to move away from "temptation") and are surprised to see the boys there. She wants to know why they aren't at the party and Harry replies he didn't like the music choice (house music) and lies saying that it's still a small do when Steph enquires although she doesn't look like she believes him as the ladies move away.
Having been relieved of Indy by Rebecca, Zeke tells Declan its time for a guy's night out. Declan refuses to go until he's been told where but Zeke is being very evasive with the info, although he eventually says it's a Uni club...
Uni
... and the said club is an Magicians club and tonight's class is on misdirection and showmanship!
"I would rather stick a skewer through my brain." Is Declan's reaction to finding out where Zeke has taken him to and seeing the clientele in capes isn't making him change his mind any quicker either! They both make a bolt for it though when someone tries to rope them into being their volunteers.
Number 26
Andrew is having a whale of a time at the party and so are the other randomers as can be seen from the pictures being taken.
An annoyed Summer returns from cleaning up spew in the bathroom and makes a comment to some female about them having a tragic life for recording Andrew dancing on her mobile phone! She drags him away to the kitchen to have a go at him adding that she isn't happy about 2 guys urinating in the garden either.
SUMMER: Andrew, who are these people?
He tries again to say they are people from work but Summer is still worried about her promise to Steph to keep the party small.
Andrew then tries it on with Summer, feeling her up but she quickly puts him in his place. She then discovers that Harry has bailed and instructs Andrew to get rid of half the people by the time she returns (she's off to find Harry).
Charlie's
Declan and Zeke are now having a guy's night at Charlie's playing pool over a few beers, the venue more suitable to them! "I am never going near a magician again" Declan adds for good measure. He then quizzes Zeke on the sudden interest in clubs and in his defence, Zeke mentions that Kate thought it would be good for Declan to get out and do blokey things since he never seems to let his hair down. Declan seems stunned by this revelation especially after dressing up as a cowboy and Richard Gere. When Zeke suggests he can head home to Kate after they finish this game of pool, Declan announces that its 'blokes time'!
Harold's Store
As she enters the store, Summer runs straight into Steph and Rebecca but covers up her sudden appearance saying she is here to get Harry. Steph wants to know who is supervising the party and Summer quickly replies Andrew, reassuring them that everything is fine. The ladies give her the benefit of the doubt just before leaving (even if their facial expressions suggest otherwise) and Summer heads over to where Chris and Harry are sitting.
HARRY: What's he done now?
"Acted like an idiot," is her reply.
CHRIS: How bad can it be?
SUMMER: I really need your help. I promised Steph this wouldn't let it get out of control and I don't want to let her down so please, there is no- one else I can trust.
HARRY: Let's go.
Charlie's
Declan has had a great time beating Zeke at pool as the ladies arrive wanting to know how magic club went.
DECLAN: We're scared for life thank you.
He then declares that they are going to make up their own club - guys only where they can do guy stuff, and then asks Kate if that is enough male bonding for her. Zeke and Donna suddenly realise that a lovers tiff is on the way so decide to go get some drinks.
Kate explains that after she saw Declan with his old team- mates, she thought he was missing the footy club. Declan concedes that is partially true but he's also happy with his life and they end up smooching having gotten their misunderstanding resolved.
Number 26
Summer, Chris and Harry return to find the house partially trashed - there is toilet roll all over the place and some of the pictures are now hanging squint. Andrew is miffed when the music is suddenly switched off and Chris tells the randomers its time to go home.
SUMMER: (very annoyed) I warned you. How could you have done this to me?
ANDREW: (couldn't give a damn) Life's short.
SUMMER: Steph and Rebecca are going to kill us.
ANDREW: Rebecca can go stuff herself.
SUMMER: You're an idiot.
Summer tells the randomers that the party is over, its time to go. Andrew retaliates by asking the randomers if they want to go home and after hearing a resounding "no", tells someone to put the music back on. Harry has a go at Andrew but it falls on deaf ears as he resumes partying.
SUMMER: (to Harry) I thought I could handle this. I'm such an idiot.
HARRY: Yes well you did your best, its time to call in the big guns.
Number 30
Summer hugs Steph apologising for the party getting out of control but she is relieved that Summer came and told her. Rebecca is annoyed too at letting Andrew go and when Summer tries to defend him, Harry tells them about Andrew putting it up on Facebook.
HARRY: He meant this to happen.
Steph moves to go over to her house but Rebecca stops her and calls the police for them to deal with it.
Number 26
The police arrive wanting to talk to who is in charge. "That would be me," Andrew pipes up. He then gets very cocky and baits Constable Page to put the cuffs on him just as Rebecca, Steph and co enter the house.
REBECCA: I'm his stepmother. You apologise to Steph right now and start clearing up this mess. I'll call your father. What do you think he's going to make of all this hey? Sixteen year old son trashing someone else's house, disturbing the neighbours, forcing me to call the police? Apologise to Steph NOW.
ANDREW: ...
REBECCA: DO IT.
ANDREW: ...
REBECCA: Fine. Since this little boy can't bring himself to apologise I will do it for him. (Looking at Steph) I'm sorry about this Steph.
Andrew barges past the randomers as he makes a beeline for the kitchen and they start laughing at him.
Rebecca apologises to Constable Page and she recommends parental supervision for future parties.
REBECCA: This is never going to happen again.
The randomers begin to leave the house and Summer follows Andrew's route and finds him hunched over the sink.
SUMMER: You lied to me and you sleazed onto me.
ANDREW: ...
SUMMER: (very annoyed at him) Andrew!
ANDREW: Rebecca's going to regret this.
SUMMER: Right of course, 'cos its Rebecca's fault, it's nothing to do with you.
ANDREW: No- one humiliates me like that. No- one.
