Elle talking to Donna about pressing charges against Saffron.
Elle telling Lucas if she takes the job in NY, she'll have to go alone.
Lucas sits pondering staring at the water, ignoring a call from Elle.
Meanwhile at #22, Donna is telling Elle what she needs to pack having brought down a pile of clothes from her bedroom. Elle mentions that Toadie is due round soon with news but adds that whatever happens, she's proud of her standing up to Saffron. She asks if Donna would like her to call Ringo but Donna replies that he's studying and doesn't want disturbing.
Ringo has found a new way of studying – punishing himself with sit-ups when he gets wrong answers because he's thinking of Donna.
Donna throws off Elle wanting to chat about Saffron in favour of packing but Toadie's arrival changes all that. He tells them that Saffron isn't being charged, there wasn't enough evidence.
Ringo and Declan arrive at #28 just as Sunny serves up some nachos. He's still annoyed at not being able to remember some biology facts and when Sunny mentions the ‘D' word, Ringo bashes his head on the counter and Declan hits Sunny and Zeke.
Toadie explains why the police aren't pressing charges – there were no witnesses and so it would be Donna's word against Saffron's but they have however suggested mediation. Donna isn't keen on but now arrived Lucas says at least she'll get Saffron to say sorry if she goes down that route and eventually she agrees to it.
Now that is sorted out, Elle wants to talk with Lucas but he stops her to say, she can fly on ahead and once she's settled he'll fly to wherever she is.
ELLE: Are you sure about this?
LUCAS: I love you.
While the rest tuck into the cake Lucas bought (why he was late home), Elle takes Donna aside to reassure her about the mediation – that she will be there for here and Toadie will sit in too. She wants Donna to tell Ringo but she steadfastly refuses due to Ringo's forthcoming exam but does promise Elle to tell him.
Elle is panicking now about leaving but Lucas reassures her that he (and Donna) will be fine and so will Cat who Paul can look after because “every super villain needs a pet” Lucas adds. “And you” she asks but again he repeats his promise of earlier adding that when they do reunite he'll marry her.
ELLE: Do you promise me?
Paul then interrupts them to borrow Elle, and he watches Lucas say that he's fine with Elle leaving (she asked him again!) but Paul can sense it's a front.
Donna arrives and the other teens mysteriously vanish! Ringo asks if she's heard anything about Saffron but she lies and says “it may take a while”. She leaves (probably to have a cold shower!) after wishing him good luck for his exam and after both resist very hard to pash each other.
Paul and Elle share an expensive bottle of wine and make the most of being with each other while they still can.
ELLE: I'm going to miss you dad.
PAUL: Yes, I'm going to miss you too sweetheart.
Number 28 (next day)
The teens get ready to leave but before they do, Sunny hands out good luck charms to the boys – a muesli bar for Zeke, picture of Donna for Ringo but thankfully for her, the newly arrived Declan arrives with his own good luck charm (Indy's booties).
When Zeke and Sunny leave, Declan asks if Donna's told him about Saffron, she did (but of course the two of them aren't on the same wavelength) so they too head off to sit the exam.
Donna has been raiding everyone's wardrobe to get something to wear for the mediation meeting. Elle asks if Ringo is coming, he isn't due to his exam, and if she told him. Donna replies that she did and he wished her good luck.
Stella Marshall introduces herself to Donna, Elle and Toadie when they enter the room. She tells them to make themselves comfortable while they wait for the other party and a few seconds later, Saffron and her lawyer walk in. Donna immediately goes self-conscious after Saffron gives her a disappointed look for the shoes she's got on.
Saffron explains how she met Donna, when she lied about her age to get into a show, but it showed keenness and adds that it reminded her of herself too, “she had the same hunger to succeed as I did.” Saffron compliments Donna on her talents then puts on the false tears by saying how upsetting it is.
SAFFRON: I'm a nurturer, I encourage talent when I find it and I found it in Donna.
Elle and Donna can't believe what they are hearing.
The teacher on invigilation duty announces that reading time is over, its time to start writing.
Saffron is really laying it on thick about how she took Donna in and nurtured her, then brings in about Donna stealing someone else's idea.
SAFFRON: I won't allow myself to be taken in again and that's the tragedy for the next talented girl that comes along asking for my help.
She finally finishes and Stella announces that they will take a break.
Lucas brings Elle's luggage downstairs and Paul catches him to have a chat. He reminds Lucas that when Elle walks out the door, things will be over between himself and Elle but with a smile on his face, Lucas replies that he “doesn't know what you are talking about.”
PAUL: You do don't you? See you know that she needs to do this but you also know that she won't go if she thinks its going to break you up so you pretend that everything's okay and in actual fact you know it's the end. I actually think it's very noble of you, I'm impressed.
LUCAS: (scoffing) First time for everything.
PAUL: Big question is, can you keep up the act until she's gone?
LUCAS: Like I said, I don't know what you are taking about.
Donna and Elle are back from the mediation meeting. Elle tells Lucas that the mediator is lapping up Saffron's story and when he asks about Donna, she replies that Donna is falling apart.
Elle then has a case of cold feet after he asks how she is doing and he takes the phone off her (she was calling NY) to tell her she is going! “Donna needs me,” she tries to tell him but he reassures her that Donna will be fine “because she's a tough kid.”
We then cut to Donna looking through fashion drawings she has done with two conversations running through her head – the one where she tells Saffron that she wants this more than anything then one with Ringo where he is telling her that he's proud of her. Her attention is brought back into focus when Elle gets a text from Toadie – its time to get back to the meeting.
Stella invites Donna to give her version. She begins by saying she isn't ungrateful or whinging but she “didn't ask to be treated like that” and expands it by saying she worked hard for Saffron.
DONNA: I wanted it so, so badly and you took advantage of that. I didn't ask for you to claim my designs as your own, I didn't ask for you to humiliate me in front of everyone in the office. I didn't ask to work twenty hours straight days at a time and I definitely didn't ask to be slapped across the face when I was only trying to help. (Pause) There's only one thing that I want from you. (Another pause) I just want you to say that you're sorry, that's it, just sorry.
Saffron doesn't say anything, just continues to stare at Donna.
The teens are back after their exam happy with how it went, especially Ringo and thanks Sunny for the photo of Donna as it seemed to work. Ringo then finds out about the mediation meeting when Declan mentions it and that he thought Donna had told him when Ringo wonders what he is on about.

Saffron decides on a one-to-one chat with Donna. She tells her that she needn't be scared of her; she isn't going to hurt her.
SAFFRON: Which is why I wanted to warn you. This is a mistake; it's a small industry Donna. You do the hard yards, you suck it up and that's how you get ahead.
Donna tries to leave but Saffron blocks her and adds that if she thought the slap was bad, then Donna should have seen what she has had to put up with.
SAFFRON: You complain about me and the whole industry knows you can't hack it. The whole industry knows that at the slightest sign of trouble, you bring in a lawyer. You go on with this and you can kiss any career goodbye. We know your history Donna - the stolen police cars, the false claims. I'm going to have a field day, so drop it now!
- Donna walking out of the mediation meeting because she doesn't think they'll believe her.
- Lucas asking Elle if this is going to work.
- Donna and Ringo getting it on together…again!
- Elle getting a pep talk from her father.
- Lucas asking Elle what she's going to do.
