- Kate telling Paul that Lyn's going broke

- Donna trying to sneak into the fashion show
- Donna calling Ringo for help
Ringo and Donna are in the building thanks to the security guard being a big Dingoes fan. Ringo isn't impressed that Donna keeps abandoning him to network, but Donna excitedly tell him she's spent the last ten minutes talking to an eco-designer - who also happens to be the drinks waiter. Her excitement mounts when she spies Saffron and she heads over to make a good first impression.
SAFFRON: (with a withering glare) Can I help you?
DONNA: (nervous) You're... You're Saffron Janka-witch.
Saffron completely blanks Donna, who walks away chiding herself for her stuff-up.
Elle hands over the new business manager's card to Steph, who is trying to ignore the longing looks Elle and Lucas are pretending not to shoot one another. Elle leaves and Lucas suddenly gets all chummy-chum with Steph, saying that they should knock off early for a drink. Steph keeps saying no, and Lucas keeps pressing the issue until Steph finally snaps and walks off to get lunch.
Steph finds Toadie stressing about what to cook for Sonya for their date. There are far too many categories of vegetarians for his liking.
STEPH: What type's Sonya?
TOADIE: I don't know, I tuned out as soon as I heard the ‘T' word: tofu. I'm pretty sure I'm allergic.
Toadie wants some advice, but Steph doesn't think she's the right person to be giving out dating tips. She tells Toad she was asked out for a drink and turned the offer down (but doesn‘t mention Lucas‘s name). Toadie reckons she should go for it, but Steph says there's baggage and an ex-girlfriend involved.
Ringo tries to cheer Donna up, but she's in no mood to be cheered. Noticing Saffron standing behind Donna, Ringo gets his girlfriend to say nice things about the designer (like how she was a fan before Saffron was famous), without Donna realising Saffron's listening in. Intrigued, Saffron approaches Donna for a chat. Donna's chuffed when the designer notices how she's draped a scarf around her waist as a “scelt”. Saffron calls it “cheeky” and when asked for advice, tells Donna to network and be bold. Trying out the bold thing Donna asks for tickets for tonight's show, but Saffron replies it's VIP only. A mischievous grin crosses Donna's face much to Ringo's chagrin - they're going to sneak back in tonight.
The kids sneak through the back door and Ringo warns Donna that Elle's expecting a present from her (that was his excuse when Elle nearly caught him out earlier). Ringo meets Elle at the front door and she compliments him on his outfit, so he lies and says he had a job interview. Donna appears and hands over a present (that she's quickly wrapped in her scarf).
ELLE: Oh thank you, that's very kind of you. (Her smile fades) Oh... It's an open box of tissues.
DONNA: It's a symbol.
RINGO: ... For the tears.
DONNA: Too many tears and too many tissues.
ELLE: (touched) Well thank you that's a very nice thought.
Donna stretches the boundaries of being grounded by asking if they can baby-sit Callum at #30 tonight while Toadie's on his date (which is a blatant lie). Elle's adamant that Donna can't leave the house, but is swayed when the alternative is Callum running riot through #22. Ringo quietly wonders what will happen if Elle checks up on them, but Donna says that Elle won't go near #30 if Lucas is there.
DONNA: It's perfect.
RINGO: Except for the fact that you still don't have tickets for the fashion show.
(Donna gives him a winning smile)
RINGO: (exasperated) There's a Plan D isn't there.
Saffron's Fashion Show
Dressed in black, Donna and Ringo have snuck through the staff entrance (discovered thanks to Donna's earlier networking with the drinks waiter). Ringo's shirt is itching him, so he takes it off to shake out, only to be accosted by a backstage person who thinks he's a missing model from the runway show. Donna keeps quiet and allows Ringo to be dragged away.
Saffron's Fashion Show
Donna wanders around, soaking up the atmosphere. Ringo pokes his head out from behind a wall and ushers Donna over.
RINGO: She just stripped me off to nothing in front of all the other models. I don't think I can do this.
DONNA: No you have to! I still haven't seen Saffron, she needs to see that I'm here.
RINGO: You haven't seen what I have to wear.
DONNA: Well I'm sure it's better than Paul's shirt.
BACKSTAGE LADY: OK buttercup, you're up first.
Donna gives Ringo an encouraging grin as he's dragged away once more.
Toadie brings out a box full of organic vegies he bought to show Steph.
TOADIE: Do you have any idea how to make any of this stuff taste like chicken?
Steph gives him a recipe idea and says it won't go to waste anyway seeing as Dan and Libby are due back tomorrow. Toadie asks if Steph reconsidered the drinks offer, but Steph confesses that it was Lucas who did the offering.
TOADIE: Lucas? Come on, everyone knows that he's still hung up on Elle.
STEPH: Yeah everyone except him apparently.
TOADIE: Right, well I take back everything I said. You can't go out with him. Not with his track record.
STEPH: I know, Toad.
Lucas bursts in and the conversation dulls. Steph gives Toadie a good luck hug and leaves, ignoring Lucas.
Saffron's Fashion Show
Ringo is shoved out onto the runway to start the show. He's a sight to behold - he's wearing a black trenchcoat, black lace-up boots and a big-ass bright yellow faux-hawk. Donna hoots and hollers as Ringo uncomfortably struts down the stage. He starts to enjoy himself, though, and unbuckles his trenchcoat to reveal a pair of yellow, flower-printed shorts (that look like the upholstery from my Nan's couch she had in the 70s). More models walk out and Donna's elated to see that they're wearing her scelts.
Steph isn't happy to find Lucas on her doorstep, but Lucas doesn't get why she's so exasperated with him.
LUCAS: I didn't ask you for your kidney, I asked you for a drink.
STEPH: Yeah and you still don't know why.
LUCAS: Elle and I are finished.
STEPH: You still love her.
LUCAS: She's moving to New York.
STEPH: Yeah and you're trying to move on.
LUCAS: I am not trying to move on!
STEPH: I'm not the rebound chick, OK?
LUCAS: Steph I am not trying to crack on to you! I thought we were mates?
STEPH: Yeah and you're really stretching the friendship.
She shuts the door in his face.
Lucas isn't leaving until he's sorted things out with Steph.
LUCAS: I wrecked our friendship, I know that. And if I could do the whole Superman thing and wind back the world I would. You know why I haven't let this go?
STEPH: Yeah I know exactly why.
LUCAS: It's because I want things to be right between us. I want my mate back.
Steph considers this, then steps aside to let Lucas in.
Sonya didn't think Toadie was a flowers type of guy so she bought him a block of chocolate instead. Toadie tells her what he's cooking, which includes goat's cheese, and Sonya looks a bit angry. But she's only mucking around with him much to Toadie's relief.
Steph is counselling Lucas about Elle while they have a beer on the couch. She says that he has to talk to her, but he doesn't think it's that easy. He's not 100% sure how he feels about Elle. But Steph reckons that if there's something still there then he should give it a shot.
The smoke alarm goes off - Toadie's burnt dinner to a crisp. Sonya asks for the phone and Toadie thinks she's calling for a cab to go home, but Sonya insists that he lend her the phone.
Steph and Lucas banter about some motorcycle race that's on TV before Lucas decides to head home.
LUCAS: I know I'm not allowed to apologise...
LUCAS: But can I say thanks? This is important to me.
STEPH: Yeah me too.
LUCAS: I don't want to lose you as a mate.
STEPH: That's good ‘cause you're stuck with me.
Steph urges Lucas to talk to Elle, which Lucas takes onboard.
Lucas finds Elle, but she thinks he's there to talk about the business and is quite abrupt with him. Once Lucas finally gets around to saying that he's there to talk about their relationship, the moment is gone.
LUCAS: But you know what, forget about it. I'm sick of trying. Have a fantastic life.
He walks out.
Sonya's phone call earlier wasn't for a cab, it was to order in some vegetarian pizza. Toadie thinks it's for the best - the last time he made risotto Callum used it to stick bricks together for a retaining wall. Undeterred, Sonya hopes she can try the risotto next time, much to Toadie's delight. They kiss and look happy until there's a knock at the door. It's Elle, who barges inside.
TOADIE: Hey, yeah, Elle. Come on in, that's a really good idea.
She asks for Lucas and then wonders if Callum's in, getting suspicious when Toadie says he's at a mate's place.
Saffron's Fashion Show
Donna's on the phone to Sunny, giggling about the photo she sent her of Ringo in his runway outfit. Ringo joins her and says they have to skedaddle - he kind of let slip that they snuck in and now security's after them. But Donna doesn't want to leave until she's spoken to Saffron about the scelts. But when they find the designer they overhear her claiming the scelt idea as her own. Security find the teens and bundle them out. Donna shouts to Saffron for some recognition, but Saffron ignores her and laughs to her fashion friends that she's used people wanting to take credit for her genius.
Donna feels like a loser but Ringo comforts her and says that Saffron wouldn't have stolen her idea if it wasn't a brilliant one. Elle walks downstairs and confronts them about their lies - she wants Donna to tell her the truth about where they've been all night.
[Tomorrow on Neighbours]
(Donna tells Elle about the fashion show)
DONNA: I know what happened and I'm going back to tell Saffron that she stole my idea!
(Donna and Sunny confront Saffron)
DONNA: Saffron, hi, we met last night?
(Steph talks about the garage with Elle)
STEPH: Hire an apprentice.
(Elle speaks to Lucas about it)
ELLE: Unfortunately we can't afford to pay for an apprentice.
LUCAS: So you want them to work for free?
(Elle's the new guinea pig apprentice at the garage)
(She lugs a tyre around and then works under a car with Lucas)
(Toadie chats happily with Steph about Sonya)
TOADIE: She's incredible!
STEPH: Toad you've had one date.
(Sunny bumps into Harry and Robin at HS)
HARRY: Hi, Sunny.
ROBIN: (grinning) Hi I'm Robin.
(He shakes Sunny's hand)
(Harry talks to Susan about Robin)
HARRY: The guy's a weirdo. I mean there's something not quite right about him.
(Susan looks concerned and speaks to Robin)
ROBIN: I get it, I'll chill out.
