- Declan suggesting Donna organise a welcome party for the new exchange student.
- Sunny, the new exchange student, falling out of the taxi.
Number 28
Donna is anxious about Sunny who has been in the bathroom for a while. Probably snooping in the cabinets. Susan assures her that she's probably fine and that bathrooms are pretty much the same everywhere. (There's a pretty good retro shot of Fletch over Susan's shoulder. Not relevant, but a little distracting.)
Sunny finally emerges and insults the Kennedy bathroom which is a bit small. She's used to en suites, but she was warned that standards would vary from family to family. Meow! She's also lived all over the world. She likes the big kangaroo though.
SUNNY: I bet it's made in China though.
Donna explains that they don't have any kangaroos in Ramsay Street. They so should have kept that one the Parkers rocked up with. They also don't have some other stuff Sunny asks about. Zeke tells her she should have gone to Africa. Funnily enough, that's where she wanted to go, but all the places were taken. It's all awkward.
Ramsay Street
Donna mopes to Elle (who has been shopping) about Sunny who isn't really that nice. Elle thinks that anyone who doesn't like Donna isn't worth worrying about. Donna notices that Elle has been food shopping and is surprised. Lucas arrives and is also impressed to see Elle has been shopping. She's going to make dinner for them. Lucas is having a poker night though so there goes that plan. Elle says it's alright she'll have a girl's night. Lucas is unconvinced
Number 22
Elle calls Rebecca. She can't do a girl's night.
Number 28
Susan serves up pavlova which Sunny seems unsure of. Donna tries to make conversation and it turns out Sunny has a younger sister. Ringo wants to know if she's attractive. Everyone makes "er, dude?!" faces. There's a huge wedding pic of Libby and Dan in the background. When the heck was that taken considering Libby collapsed? Didge points out that Ringo is a boy and that's the level they function on. Sunny falls asleep. Donna's phone makes Kookaburra sounds. It's Elle who wants to know if they can have a girl's night. Donna can't they're taking Sunny out, assuming she wakes up, which she does with a jerk. Susan suggests she goes to get some sleep but it's 5 o'clock back in Korea so she can't. Logical. Donna tells Sunny about the gig.
ZEKE: Oh, I can't come to that because I'm totally bushed.
He thinks that's hilarious. Nobody else does though. Things remain nice and awkward.
Charlie's
The teens bob along to the gig. Sunny notices Bridget is pregnant. Didge explains the situation. Sunny turns the conversation back to music. Donna tells her about Lost Boy. Sunny is all "Lost Boy, what's his problem?" Donna gets pissy and tells Sunny that whatever she may think she's not that much cooler than the rest of them. Bridget takes Sunny home.
DONNA: I'm a horrible person.
Number 22
The boys arrive to play poker, so does Steph. Dan has brought carrots for Toadie who is outraged. Elle looks a bit bewildered and didn't know girls were invited.
LUCAS: No no, no girls. Just Steph.
STEPH: Oi! I heard that.
Lucas says she can stay and they'll teach her to play, but Elle has a film and manicure to get to.
Number 28
Sunny mooches around the house looking at massive photos that are all over the place. I should be playing drink-along-a-Neigbours. She also browses Karl's vinyls. She turns on PirateNet to listen to Lost Boy and curls up on the sofa looking a bit dejected.
Number 22
Downstairs the gang talk about Dan applying to be principle and Ty helps Callum out with his guitar practise.
Upstairs Elle reads a motorcycling mag.
Steph is about to beat everyone. Lucas takes Elle some snacks, everyone makes fun of him. Hearing Lucas coming Elle quickly hides the magazine. Once he's gone she tries on Lucas' jacket and helmet. Someone is bored!
Number 28 / Number 26
Sunny, Declan and Ringo are listening to Lost Boy.
LOST BOY: And that track was for anyone who is feeling a bit lost and lonely like me. You're listening to the sweet sounds of PirateNet, if you want to chat call 1800975707.
Sunny calls and tells him she knows exactly where she is. She's in a stupid town in a stupid house with stupid people and my stupid family is half way across the world. I feel resentful. The boys realise it's Sunny. She says she's always moving around. All people see are her flaws. He tells her to stay around and become visible. She says she's horrible. At number 26 the boys are kinda stunned.
Number 22
Elle makes scary cat being run over/crazy frog noises as she pretends to ride a motorcycle in the mirror. She gets off the motorbike and does a little bum wiggle at herself. Well, when you're alone, why not eh? She takes off the jacket but the helmet gets stuck on her earring. Elle calls Lucas but he doesn't notice the phone ringing. Eventually she ventures downstairs. She spies on the card players to see if she can get Lucas' attention. They're all having a jolly old time. Lucas bluffs and Steve calls him a tool. Just another one for the box, eh? Steph asks if Lucas is ready to settle down with Elle and he reckons he is. The blokes act like a bunch of girls "Reeeally? OMG!"
Number 28
Ringo arrives home waking Sunny up. She asks if Lost Boy cost him his football career. She says he made fools of both of them. He tells her that he went to the station yesterday but he got away. She persuades him to take her to him and not to worry, she'll do all the talking. Ringo evidently finds her weird but agrees.
PirateNet
Sunny snoops around and Virginia tells her to leave, she doesn't have much luck keeping up the whole "under the radar thing" does she? Sunny shows her Karl's Vinyls telling her that she picked them up in a garage sale. Karl is soooo not going to be happy. While Virginia's distracted by the retroness Sunny runs into the studio. Lost Boy is nowhere to be found. Oh come on, he's under the desk!
