Ned annoyed to find Paul taking to Kirsten.
Libby pointing out to Lucus why she shouldn't be impressed with him.
Nicola telling Toadie that she loves Steve.
Miranda finding out from Nicola that she slept with Riley.
Number 26/Outside Number 26
Miranda arrives home and Steve wants to talk to her about Ned wanting his money out of the house but she storms into the bedroom and returns with an armful of Nicola's clothes and heads straight out of the door with Steve in hot pursuit.
Nicola arrives to find her clothes decorating the driveway courtesy of Miranda throwing them there. She then receives a slap to the face when she says that Riley isn't Miranda's son (her logic for sleeping with Riley).
MIRANDA: He is more blood to me than you'll ever be.
Miranda heads back into the house despite Nicola apologising for what she said.
Ned finally gets to talk to Miranda about his plans and she repeats what Steve said earlier - that they can't afford to buy him out. Steve asks Ned to leave so he can talk to Miranda but she stuns him by informing him that Nicola has been sleeping with Riley since he turned 18. He takes the news a lot calmer than Miranda did so she poses him a question - what if it was Ned sleeping with Didge?
The General Store
Steph ribs Libby for her sudden interest in bike magazines since Lucas came on the scene and accuses her of pining for him but she is doing the lalalala routine to avoid listening. She then looks inside Libby's shopping basket, surprised it isn't full of tissues or a copy of Dirty Dancing (great in joke there!) Sienna offers to lend them a copy but Steph's quick to reject the offer because it's the last thing Libby needs.
SIENNA: Bad boyitis?
LIBBY: I'm not pining after Lucas.
Libby asks Sienna what she did the last time she was in the same predicament and replies that she took him back... before burning his guitar.
Steph and Libby arrive home having to carry their shopping home in plastic bags instead of the nice green reusable ones and so we get a mini-lecture from Steph about how they are not good for the environment especially one that Charlie has to grow up in. She asks Libby if she wants the same for Ben.
LIBBY: Did you hear that? (Pause) You just turned into your mother.
Steph is aghast at what Libby has said as she does an impression of Lyn to her. Thankfully the environmental lecture ends when Libby gets a text message from Susan although the speed she went for her phone would suggest that she thought the text would be from Lucas. Libby plays things very innocent with her buddy but Steph has an idea for revenge.
Steve and Miranda talk about what they are going to do following Ned's request and Steve does his usual of 'we'll work something out' before heading out the house.
Steph and Libby creep up to Lucas garage and Libby wants to back out on whatever it is Steph has planned until she is reminded on how much she spend on the non-date.
LIBBY: Okay, what do I do?
Steph gives instructions to Libby on how to let the air down on his bike tyres but the alarm goes off and Lucas quickly appears catching Libby red handed. He states the obvious and Libby resumes letting the air out of his tyre as per Steph's instructions as it dawns on him why she is doing it.
LUCAS: Please stop doing that.
LIBBY: It feels so good.
LUCAS: I'm sorry I let you down.
LIBBY: (nonchalantly) Ah-ha.
LUCAS: There was a reason.
LIBBY: A reason?
LUCAS: Yes, it's complicated.
LIBBY: I hate complicated.
LUCAS: Look I really wanted to see you again. I was excited about going out with you. (Libby rolls her eyes) It's hard to explain.
LIBBY: Did I ask you to?
He invites her upstairs into the flat to talk about it but the air in the tyre is out now and Libby replies "I'll think about it" but walks out of the garage.
She gets a few metres away from the building before he calls her but although Libby looks tempted; she carries on walking, telling him not to hold his breath when he said that he'd be waiting.
Ned is trying to feed Kirsten but she isn't interested and reminds him that it's okay to be sacred. He tells her about his plan of getting Steve to buy him out of the house to fund her treatment and she reminds him that they can't afford to do that.
Paul appears and while Ned wants him to go, Kirsten tells him to stay.
Erinsborough Veterinary Clinic
Nicola vents how stupid she is at a poor Alsatian dog as Steve comes in. He tells her that she isn't stupid but asks what she was thinking sleeping with Riley and wants to know why she wrecks everything. Nicola thinks that he should know (he doesn't) and then tells him that she's been in love with him since he appeared in her life when she was 16. Steve reminds her that Miranda is her sister, which she acknowledges but adds that she loves him more than her. Nicola then touches his shoulder but Steve tells her off and moves away from her.
NICOLA: Why did you come back for me in the fire?
STEVE: Because you're my sister in law.
NICOLA: Why did you put your arms around me and kiss me back?
He tells her that is all in her head but she isn't so sure and asks him to talk to her - to tell her and she'll go away. Steve tells her she is wrong but can't look at her when he says that and leaves the clinic as Nicola mutters "no I'm not."
Kirsten is eating the food Paul has brought and he asks when she is off to Perth. The random nurse in the room comments that the Royal Perth is a great hospital but Kirsten replies back that she isn't going. Paul asks if it's because of the money and she replies that [Erinsborough] hospital has everything she needs, so he asks if she is giving up.
KIRSTEN: Sort of.
Paul asks if she thinks Ned & Mickey will be better off without her and she replies back that she can't keep on fighting and that sometimes you just have to accept things. "That is rubbish and you know it," Paul tells her and follows that up when he tells her that she is worth fighting for when she doubts why Ned still sticks around after what she has done to him.
KIRSTEN: Is that why you left me to die?
Paul can't reply to that question and excuses himself from her bedside and heads out into the corridor where he runs into Ned returning with a huge flower arrangement. He tells him about Kirsten refusing to go to Perth because Kirsten thinks she doesn't deserve it.
NED: You don't know what she's thinking.
PAUL: No but I know guilt when I see it.
NED: I guess wrecking families means more to her than you.
Paul replies that he's wasting his time putting the guilt trip on him and tells Ned to forgive her. He takes exception to that statement and pushes the flower arrangement into Paul's arms whilst telling him to stay away.
Steph wants to know how Libby is feeling after what she did and Lib replies bad - bad in a good way. The ladies do an elaborate version of a 'high-five' and concur to have no more pining before heading for chocolate.
Ned spells it out to Kirsten - Erinsborough can't provide the treatment she needs - and lays on a guilt trip about what she is going to tell Mickey.
The random nurse from earlier enters the rooms asking Ned to sign some transfer forms - for her to go to Perth. Both are puzzled as to what is going on until the random nurse let's slip that Paul has paid a deposit for the medical expenses, cue one mad Neddy storming out of the room to see Paul.
He accuses Paul of buying himself a clean conscious but Paul spells it out - she isn't getting better in a hurry and if it makes Ned feel better, he can repay the money.
PAUL: Take it and you give her a chance, leave it and according to the medics here she might not make it, now it's your call.
Ned does/says nothing, so Paul tells him that "it's only money" but Ned takes exception to this and thrusts the transfer papers into Paul's chest, saying "sod the money" and returns to Kirsten's room where she can't look at him.
Steve takes out his frustrations as he laps the oval before stopping to see who has texted him (Miranda asking where he is) but continues running after he's read it.
We cut to #26 and Miranda leaving another voicemail message on Riley's phone, telling him that she knows about him and Nicola, wishing that he'd told her and asking that he comes home.
We then cut back to Steve running and screaming out his frustrations this time when he runs out of steam.
Steve returns home to a worried Miranda and confirms that he met with Nicola but refuses to say what they talked about.
Break over and this time Steve tells her about his meeting with Nicola before getting to the nitty-gritty - himself & Nicola. Miranda is stunned when he says that he had an inkling as to how Nicola felt about him.
MIRANDA: What are you saying? Are you saying that you are in love with her?
