Carmella steals money from the General Store.
Paul receives another blackmail letter.
Didge runs from Chris.
Miranda and Steve discover Chris has been found unconscious; Steve asks Didge if he tried to hurt her.
Didge tells her dad that Chris wouldn't stop and he chased her as she left the hotel. When she was running past the lake he caught up and she pushed him over before running off. She didn't check what had happened to him. Miranda listens from the hallway in tears as Steve tells Didge not to apologise - she was defending herself. Didge says she would've stopped if she'd known she'd hurt him. Steve says the police will understand that. When Didge sees her mum Miranda comes over and hugs her as they both sob.
Paul is certain Rebecca is not the blackmailer. Elle reminds him they're her bank account details. Paul says she wouldn't be as stupid to supply her own details and Elle concedes that she wouldn't have handled it this way.
Didge is scared the police won't believe her but Steve assures her it'll be okay. They have to speak to the police right away. Miranda thinks they should give Didge some time but Steve argues the sooner the better. Didge decides to go out for a walk, just as Nicola returns home.
Steph encourages Susan to contact Lyn as she's doing her head in trying to reunite her with Toadie. Once she's gone Karl tells Susan that he thinks she's avoiding her because her health's not so good at the moment. Susan won't talk about it so he goes to get her a tomato juice.
At the bar Sam tells Karl she wants to stop her meds so she can get pregnant. He asks if she's talked it through with Daniel and she doesn't seem so sure when she answers yes. Sam's been off her meds for two weeks, feels fine, and asks him to monitor her. Karl tells her to make an appointment.
Carmella brings Chloe in for Oliver. She has a few shopping bags with her and doesn't have many other interesting things on for the rest of her day off. She goes behind the desk to the till while Marco goes over to where Sienna, Lou and others are trying fix Fitzy's laptop. Carmella helps herself to some fifties from the till and Oliver catches her.
Steph tells Lyn that Susan's probably just busy. Lyn says she sometimes misses having her and Steph around but denies she's lonely in Shelley Bay. Paul walks in and Steph begins to pull her mum away. But when Paul sees Lyn from across the bar he's the one to hurry out. Steph asks if that's the best he's got - how about an apology? Lyn tells her it doesn't matter but Steph's still angry. Lyn tells her to let it go - she did a long time ago.
Nicola meets Riley in his van to talk and she whinges about how nobody's being nice to her. Riley reminds her they have a lot on their plates. She denies she wants to destroy his life.
Nearby Bridget walks, having flashbacks to running from Chris.
Riley tells Nicola his life is changing. Nicola says she needs someone to love her even just a little. Riley kisses her, just as Didge appears to catch them.
DIDGE:(to Riley) She's our Auntie! What's wrong with you?!
Lou can see Susan's struggling so he tells her to take a seat while he gets her order sorted. Lyn comes in and Susan quickly hides her cane before she can see it. They hug and Lyn is so happy to see how well she looks. Lou likes seeing them together again and Lyn thinks it's like old times. Susan asks about Shelley Bay and Lyn says that with the hard yards out of the way, she feels she can do anything!
Bespectacled Marco tells Sienna that $200 is missing and money went missing when she was working last week too. Sienna says she didn't do it but even though he has to no proof, Marco is firing her. She tells him to stick his job.
Since Fitzy's computer is cactus he has to use Sam's. He laughs when he finds her password is Danny Boy - his is Daniel77. She leaves. He needs some paper so looks in her filing cabinet. It's there he finds a drawer full of baby clothes.
When Elle and Oliver return to the street Elle makes a beeline for the mailbox but there's nothing but junk mail. Sienna tells them that Marco fired her and Oliver assures her they'll work something out. Elle tells him not to interfere but Ollie says Marco doesn't need to know.
Riley and Nicola arrive back. Steve and Miranda tell them they don't know where Bridget is. Riley decides this is a great time to tell them he's got a new job as a junior reporter for an overseas news agency, based in the Middle East.
Carmella's sitting with more bags which she hides when Oliver comes in. He brings up her taking the money and she says it was for general store bills. Oliver asks why Marco fired Sienna when he supposedly knows about her taking the cash. He's deduced that with her addictive personality she's now addicted to shopping. Carmella thinks she's an idiot. She'll get Sienna her job back and some help for herself. Oliver promises not to use it against her when it comes to Chloe.
Karl asks Susan why she lied to Lyn about the extent of her symptoms. Susan doesn't know - Lynnie's doing so well and left the past behind. She was jealous of her. Karl understands - Susan has been through a lot. Susan thinks it's amazing that she's managed to forgive and be happy.
Or not so forgiving as it would seem. Lyn prints out a page, saying ‘Money Won't Make Amends', destined for Paul's letterbox. Then she looks at a happy picture of her and Paul on their wedding day.
Sienna appears and Carmella tells her she took the money. She promises to get her job back, but not to tell Marco. She gives her a present.
Fitzy asks Karl for some medical advice about Sam. Karl tells him that Sam seems fine at the moment. Fitzy tells him about the baby clothes. He was surprised and he wants to know if she said anything about having a baby. Karl tells him to talk to Sam about it.
Elle doesn't understand the ‘Money Won't Make Amends' note and still thinks Rebecca could be the blackmailer. Paul asks how she'd hand deliver that note from miles away. Elle thinks that maybe she's not in Sydney. Paul asks her what Rebecca would do if she did find out and they both agree that she would confront him right away. Paul brings up Lyn, having seen her today and this news gets Elle thinking.
Elle is all fake nice to Lyn and pretends she wants a friendship with her. She says she doesn't blame her for the letters. Steph appears and Elle fills her in. Steph think it's a lot of baloney - Elle's family is in no position to lecture them. Lyn speaks up - actually yes, she is blackmailing Paul. And it's the happiest she's felt in ages.
Miranda plans to call the consulate and tell them Riley's a criminal. Or shoot him in the foot! But they won't change things.
Didge returns, having ‘wandered the streets and seen the sights'.
DIDGE: It's pretty eyeopening.
There's a knock at the door as Didge says she's ready to go the police now. Riley is confused. Detective Skinner walks in - he wants to talk to Didge.
After ads Skinner runs through Didge's story again - pushing Chris over and running away. He asks when she found out he was hurt. Didge says it was yesterday morning and he asks when she put two and two together. Didge falters so Steve steps in: he was the one who hit Chris, not Bridget. So he should talk to him. Bridget looks at her father, shocked.
