Libby spotting Dan and Sam hugging.
No. 32
Ben is still miffed at Libby banning him from going to see Dan and brings up that Sam is with him but Libby explains that Sam is nursing Dan. "You can nurse him too," replies Ben but Libby doesn't respond to it and instead suggests taking Steve to the show and tell instead but Ben wants the hero.
LIBBY: We are letting Dan get on with his life without us okay.
BEN: Just like Darren.
Steph comes in for Libby's help to dress Charlie and she promises Ben that Steve will do his show and tell.
No. 30
Frazer checks on his housemate when he returns from baby shopping. Dan mentions that the two of them don't need to tip toe around him by not mentioning the baby just because he and Sam lost a child.
He leaves and Sam agrees to stay and keep Dan company when she calls to collect a jacket she left.
No. 32
Steph interrupts her chat with Libby to spot that Ben has made a hero medal for Dan and he says that Dan likes his company. Libby reminds Ben that they aren't to bother Dan until he is well and it isn't up for negotiation!
Ben sulks off to his room and Steph tells Libby the obvious - that Ben has fallen for Dan, and in the background we hear Charlie say his first ever words.
CHARLIE: Hiya, hiya.
Back to the ladies and Libby remarks that Ben needs a male role model in his life.
STEPH: He's not the only one who wants a man.
LIBBY: Excuse me! What was the first rule of House of Skirt?!
Steph asks what's the harm in Ben spending time with Dan and being kicked out when Dan's had enough? Lib explains that she is scared that Ben bonds with Dan.
STEPH: Whose heart is that going to protect, yours or his?
No.30
Sam and Dan are playing poker and she is cleaning out his supply of smarties! The two of them are having fun just hanging out being together with each other.
TGS
Lou updates us Rebecca and Steve on how Harold's travels are going - he's past Shelly Bay (finally dropping off a reluctant Valda) and is now in Lakes Entrance according the to postcard Lou reads out.
Miranda arrives to hands over the accounts and they question whether he is ready to sell up or not. Lou starts telling them about how he rebuilt the place after the fire but he stops himself mid-sentence when he is about to say about Paul's involvement in TGS's history given that Rebecca is still in his company.
Steve gets a bit uncomfortable when Lou asks how Ned and Mickey are going with his dad up north and tries to wriggle out of giving them a call to see how it's going.
No. 30
Dan is out of smarties having lost his to Sam at poker but will practice hard before the rematch! He thinks the dressing has come away from his skin and she volunteers to help him repair it because he is a hopeless patient. As she tackles the dressing, he looks at her and starts to play with her hair. Sam leans in for a kiss but pulls back when she doesn't receive any encouragement and suddenly decides that it's time to visit the shops.
SAM: You could have kissed me you know, the world wouldn't have ended. You wanted to... Okay I wanted you to.
DAN: Sam.
SAM: It's Libby isn't it? You kiss me, and you have to let her go.
Dan half nods his head and she questions what the two of them have got. He denies there is anything adding that Libby is avoiding him like the plague because she feels that he still has stuff to work through with her.
SAM: Stuff like love?
DAN: I couldn't switch it off before Sam; I can't switch it off now
SAM: Yes I understand not being able to switch it off.
Lassiter's complex
Rosie hands over all the paperwork for buying TGS to Frazer and Marco, telling them to look it over and make sure everyone is happy before returning to her signed. With Rosie departed, the boys discuss how things are going to work especially as Marco's dad doesn't know that he is moonlighting with his own business and that Marco doesn't plan on telling until they are well and truly established.
FRAZER: So your family doesn't know, Carmella doesn't know and now my wife can't know.
MARCO: What's a family without secrets?
FRAZER: It will be tears before bedtime.
Marco reassures him that they will understand and see he is trying to do something for Carmella and Chloe. The boys seal their agreement with a handshake both equally as keen to see the new venture flourish.
No. 32
Charlie knocks over a pot of paint onto the floor and Ben quickly cleans up the mess but receives his mum's wrath when she comes in and sees the mess. Steph realises that accidents happen and while the boys head off to clean up, she tells Libby to stop being the mean mum she is turning into. She asks if it would be really that hard to allow Ben to spend some 'mate' time with Dan especially since the wee lad is so keen on him. We finally get the real reason when Libby admits that it is too hard seeing Dan and Sam together so Steph suggests that they need to make emergency fudge brownies.
The General Store
Lou stalls over signing the contract and the boys think it's for more money but he says it isn't.
Elsewhere in the store, Riley has noticed that Lou doesn't look happy and Steve too thinks its money related or that he doesn't want to sell. Steve debates whether to go over and intervene or not but Rebecca and Miranda interrupt reading Paul's email from Paris to tell him not to.
Rosie suggests signing at a later date but Lou now demands that the boys sell or back out when he inserts a clause where they have to keep him on as an employee... with perks on condition he hasn't to work with food containing any parmesan cheese!
FRAZER: Permission to say bad words.
ROSIE: Denied!
Marco tries to talk Frazer into accepting Lou's new clause.
FRAZER: (Looking very serious at Lou) I will never and I mean never... play poker with this man!
The boys sign and Lou announces the deal to the gathered with free drinks for all.
Ramsay Street
Riley and Lou talk about the deal and he wonders whether the new owners will make any changes but Lou replies that isn't required because TGS is almost a brand name in itself and there is no need to change.
The two of the say hello to Ben and Charlie who are playing a game of rescue... Ben wants to re-enact the mine shaft accident. He leaves Charlie (mission control) sitting on the kerb heads off with a walkie-talkie (so they can keep in contact) in his hand and a rope around his shoulder.
BEN: Rescue to mission control; it's time to go down the mine.
Ben heads to a storm drain outside number 22 and pulls it open.
The General Store
Lou spoke too soon as the boys are looking around the store suggesting things that they want to change and it isn't just a lick of paint but walls ripped out, a bar being installed, different lighting, the dry cleaning to go plus new signage once they know what to call the new business
ROSIE: Are you going to leave anything the same?
MARCO: Basically...
FRAZER: No.
Rosie thinks that the boys should tell Lou but they are still bitter at the sly deal Lou did and so aren't in the mood to inform. She asks how Marco's dad took the news of him pulling out of the family business and he lies saying that his dad is happy for his son to follow his dreams.
No. 32
The ladies have finished cooking and call on the boys to have the cakes as they enter the livingroom. Libby tells Steph that she'll sit down and have a chat to Ben to explain things to him and admits to Steph that she thinks Ben feels that she pushes away men that he wants to get close to. Steph suggests that she tells Ben the truth about Dan and Libby is contemplating that suggestion before wondering why the boys haven't come to get the cakes.
Libby goes to check the bedrooms and says to Steph that they aren't out the back but Ben knows to ask before going off anywhere. Steph is starting to worry a bit and wants to check the street but Libby stops her because she knows where Ben will be - over at Dan's.
No. 30
Sam returns to find that Dan is doing housework but orders him to stop and get back on the couch. He admits that he is surprised she returned and apologises for making things confusing. Sam remarks that things seem so familiar, almost like they've stepped back in time 3 years but agree to have no more confusion, just friends.
Changing subject, Sam brings the subject of their baby up and (after seeing the stuff Dan kept) remarks that they never got a chance to say goodbye but now might be a good time. They both agree on the gardens when Libby arrives. She apologises for interrupting them again and asks if either of them have seen the boys. Dan says no and wants to help search for them but Libby rejects his offer telling him he needs to rest.
Ramsay Street
The hunt for the boys is on and Riley tells Libby that he and Lou saw them when they arrived home about 30 minutes ago. He wonders if they've gone to the playground but Libby replies that Ben knows to ask first especially since Charlie is with him.
Lou reports that he's checked all the backyards and they aren't there. Sam wonders if they'd cross the busy road and Libby quickly replies no before changing it to "I don't know".
LIBBY: If they're not on the street where the hell are they?
Storm drain/ Ramsay Street
Ben comes to a halt, sits down and puts the medal he made for Dan round his neck as we hear Libby shouting "Charlie".
Above ground Libby shouts out the boys' names as Lou and Riley co-ordinate where they are going to look. Steph arrives and wonders if they'd go to the old warehouse and goes to get the car keys so they can check and as Steph runs off, she runs past the storm drain where Ben entered.
Underneath in the storm drain, Ben doesn't realise he is worrying the residents to death and thinks its one big game. He gets on his walkie-talkie and tells mission control that he's good to go.
Back up on the surface, Libby asks Sam if it's too early to call the police and she tells her to call, better being safe than sorry.
Underneath, Ben asks mission control if he can hear him and after getting no response, asks Charlie if he is alright.
On the surface, Dan comes out of his house in time to hear Libby report the boys missing to the police.
Meanwhile underneath Ben shouts into the walkie-talkie for Charlie to push the red button and when Charlie still doesn't reply, tells him that he is coming.
Above ground and Marco arrives home and parks his 4x4 right on top of the storm drain and after Libby explains the situation quickly to him follows her out of Ramsay Street on foot to look for the boys little realising that Ben is literally right underneath them.
Ben tries to push the cover off the drain but of course given the weight of the car, he can't move it.
