Rachel chucking a book at Justin and Fitzy breaking up the fight for Libby.
Elle confronting her issues with the help of Karl.
Toadie telling Steph they have to postpone the wedding.
The Beach
Toadie tries to leave but Steph stops him. She thinks he wants her to be Dee, but Toadie says it's nothing to do with her.
STEPH: You want me to be perfect, right, you want me to be this perfect fairytale bride, the perfect wife. It's just not fair.
TOADIE: No what's not fair is you using Dee as an excuse.
Steph says she's not, but she thinks she can't live up to Dee, however much she loves him. She still wants to get married, but Toadie doesn't anymore.
Number 28
Rachel and Zeke are working hard and Karl recounts his days as a youthful miscreant. Zeke teases him but the banter abruptly stops when Susan drops a plate she's drying and smashes it. Is that horror music? Oh wait, no, I think it's Dahl squarking. Susan says it was just wet hands but Rachel's concerned and Karl clearly is as well.
Number 22
Paul's moaning about some of his employees to Rebecca, who suggests a good clip around the ears. Elle comes in to grab a folder and Paul mentions how much they're missing her at work but she refuses to stay either for him to pick her brains or for a sandwich - she has an interview and besides, there's no chance of her coming back to Lassiter's. He says he just wanted some advice and misses her conversation, she apologises but says she has to go and can't promise she'll be back for dinner.
Erinsborough High
Ringo's scrawling down a presentation he's left to the last minute, but the rest don't think it'll be good enough for Fitzy.
ZEKE: Mate, you live with the guy. Didn't he see you writing it at breakfast?
RINGO: I just told him that I was polishing the gold!
Justin appears and taunts Rachel about Angus and Dan appears just in time to stop Zeke and the most skinny, ginger bully ever getting into the Fight of the Geeks™ Part Two. Their punishment is starting the presentations. Rachel verbally attacks Justin for his love for Taylah (did I miss something?) making him attack Zeke even though Taylah thinks he's a moron. Everyone laughs when Justin walks away without a comeback.
DECLAN: Whoah, that was the geekiest insult I have ever heard.
Rachel looks relieved.
Later, in the classroom, Bridget finishes her excellent presentation and Rachel follows but is tripped up by Justin who makes a jibe about her having the shakes like her mum. Before, Fitzy can intervene with some well-meaning "Right-o"s, Rachel pours water on him and Dan pulls them outside together. Zeke looks disappointed.
Outside, Dan chastises the recalcitrant pair and goes to ring Justin's parents to get them to come in, a task to which Justin wishes him luck. (Can anyone else smell a big dungheap of issues?) When Fitzy's gone, Rachel asks Justin why he hates her. He's confused by the question and tells her she's a whinger.
JUSTIN: Why do you have to turn everything into such a drama? You've got everything.
RACHEL: What have I got?
JUSTIN: You're smart and you're ...
RACHEL: What?
JUSTIN: You're just lucky alright? Your parents are cool -
RACHEL: My step parents.
JUSTIN: Whatever, you're lucky.
Dan asks Justin to report to Mr Simpson - his parents aren't coming in. He leaves and Dan tells Rachel he's disappointed in her. This isn't the first time she's lost her temper in class, so he wants to call her parents in as well. Rachel begs her not to; Susan's supposed to be avoiding stress, but Fitzy tells her she should have thought about that earlier.
The General Store
Karl is being too much of a scrooge to buy a drink. Susan struggles to sit down and Karl reminds her about warning signs. She tries to brush it off again. Karl is still being bossy - if she's not realistic about her health then she might not be able to go to the wedding. He suggests that if the weakness continues in her legs she should get a walking stick. She's having none of it but Karl wants her to put her health above her pride, but that's not what Susan's thinking about - she's worried about Rachel blaming herself for a relapse.
KARL: If you can be open and honest with Ben, why are you lying to the older kids?
SUSAN: Because Ben is so little he doesn't worry so much. And it's not lying! It's just choosing not to make a song and dance out of everything, unlike somebody I could mention.
Susan's phone rings and it's Daniel asking her to come in. She explains to Karl that Rachel is in a bit of trouble so she needs to go in. Karl says he'll do it but Susan insists that she does.
Toadie's Office
Frazer is fulfilling his best man's duty by asking Toadie about the Steph situation. Toadie is frustrated that she's pushed her so hard when she said that marriage isn't her thing. Frazer insists that it is what she wants to do now.
FRAZER: Mate, I seriously doubt you could bully Steph into something she doesn't want to do - the woman takes off bottle caps with her teeth.
Steph enters and agrees with the sentiment. She asks Toadie if he still wants to marry her.
Erinsborough High
Daniel explains the situation to Susan and Rachel apologises. Susan asks if it's about Angus but Rachel won't give a straight answer and just promises it won't happen again. Dan tells her to ignore the talk and Susan reassures her that in time people will forget. Rachel says they won't, but it's ok - she knows how lucky she is.
The General Store
Karl asks after Elle and she says she's good and thanks him for his kindness. She tells him she can't talk to Paul, even though that upsets him. Paul walks in just in time to hear Karl telling Elle that learning to trust people again is just part of the recovery. Paul leaves.
Charlie's
Frazer and Valda watch on as Steph and Toadie try to resolve their differences. Frazer reports that there's a lot of talking and not much touching. Steph apologises to Toadie and assures him he wants to marry him. They kiss and Frazer and Valda celebrate. Valda brings over the wedding info but Frazer drags her away. Toadie is worried about all the stuff they have to do but Steph says she'll handle it, with some professional help - lucky they live in the same street as a party planner then and, ever-organised, Valda already has Miranda on the phone. Steph and Toadie tackle the guest list and Steph is not happy to see Paul on the list after what he did to Lyn and insists that she will uninvite him.
Erinsborough High
Fitzy wants an essay from Rachel on how to deal with her anger. Susan's having a bit of a turn but insists she's fine. Daniel walks away just as Susan collapses. Rachel screams for help.
Number 28
Rachel is looking anxious, Zeke is caring for Susan, Daniel looks awkward and Karl bursts in. Zeke explains what happened and Susan admits to Karl that she should have gone to the hospital, but she's fine now. Daniel is thanked and then leaves. Karl is still concerned and Susan is finally prepared to make concessions. Susan firmly tells Rachel that it wasn't her fault - the symptoms were already back. Karl send the kids to make a cuppa (because a few yards away is plenty far enough not to hear their conversation) and encourages Susan to get a walking stick.
SUSAN: Can I beat you with it?
KARL: Sounds like a fair concession.
Zeke and Rachel are worried (no? surely Karl's dulcet tones didn't carry all the way to the kitchen?).
Lassiter's
Rebecca assures Paul that Elle will come around and they spot her in the doorway. She'd been speaking to some staff but told them to consult Paul or Oliver in future, but Paul still hopes there's a chance she'll come back. Rebecca makes him thank her and she leaves. Rebecca tells him that was a win.
Number 28
Susan's sleeping and Rachel's tidying. Susan wakes and asks sleepily after the boys, who are still out. Rachel tells her she begged Daniel not to call her in and apologises for continually stuffing up. Susan says she doesn't. Rachel wants everything to go back to the way it used to be, before Susan got sick, before she lied to her.
RACHEL: I know that you don't think of me the way that you used to. Can't we just go back, can't we just act like none of it ever happened?
SUSAN: (after a lethargic pause) We'll be fine. You just watch, we'll be fine.
Rachel cries.
Number 22
Declan has Zeke in a headlock, for some unknown reason. Paul opens the door to Steph and apologises for the rowdiness. Rebecca sends Declan, Zeke and Ringo away. Steph admits there's been a mistake with the invites and that she'd appreciate it if Paul didn't come to the wedding. Rebecca doesn't understand and Paul has a flashback of his wedding day to Lyn. He tells Rebecca that Elle told him he was briefly married to Lyn. Rebecca thinks that Lyn might understand how Paul's changed if she met him again, but Paul assures Steph that she'll stay away. Steph says she knows he's different now, but he still did something unforgivable and her mum would not be able to cope with seeing him again.
Number 22
Rebecca tells Paul that whatever happened, it wasn't done by the Paul she knows; if she spoke to Steph and Lyn met him now ... Paul makes her stop. He knows it was him who betrayed and humiliated Lyn. Rebecca is still using his illness to make excuses. He recognised the feeling of enjoyment when he threatened Brad and knew he'd done that sort of thing before. He vaguely remembers Lyn and knows that he loved her and still hurt her.
REBECCA: Have you ever cheated on me, Paul?
PAUL: No.
REBECCA: And I believe you. Why?
PAUL: I don't know why.
REBECCA: Because I trust you.
PAUL: But you don't even know me. I don't even know myself! Although I think I'm starting to.
