Recap
Darren telling Susan that he did something unforgivable and trying to see Susan's sympathy.
Zeke and Taylah kissing.
Marco introducing Carmy to his mother while she is just wearing his shirt!
Rachel and Angus kissing.
Angus being revealed as a new teacher at EHS.
School
Angus takes the class register and when he reads out Rachel's name, she hesitantly puts her hand in the air.
Marco's pad
Marco brings Carmella a cuppa and she is trying to play things very cool despite his mother looking like she disapproves already and Mia winding Carmy up about just wearing his shirt until she decides to go and put some more clothes on.
Marco runs after her to explain that they caught him by surprise before resuming his chat. He explains to them that the baby isn't part of the business deal but he's looking forward to her being born very much. This seems to silence them and they resume drinking their cuppas.
School
"OMG what are the chances," Didge tells a very stunned Rachel who hasn't a clue what to do now. Didge also wants details about their date but Rachel is keeping quiet and meanwhile Jessica gives Zeke the thumbs up over his dancing at the party.
Angus returns to the room and hands out work for the class and isn't half constantly looking at Rachel. The assignment has the kids pairing up and Rachel is paired with Ringo and Didge with Declan. She tries to get a change of partner but Angus is having none of it and tells them to get on with their work.
Marco's pad
Carmy returns fully dressed this time and announces that she is off but is compelled by the Silvani's to stay for brunch and a grilling!
The General Store
Lou and Harold are stunned when Darren tells them about having an affair and Lou suggests that it is best that he doesn't say at No. 24 any longer.
No. 28
Karl takes through Ben from the bedroom all decked out in his new primary school uniform and both mother and grandmother are rapped at how cute he looks in it. Darren arrives to talk with Libby and spots the uniform. Ben tells him that he is starting school tomorrow, cue Darren not being happy at all, and on the pretence of wanting help with the Christmas decorations Karl leads Ben and Susan away so that Libby and Darren can talk.
Darren demands answers and isn't chuffed at not being consulted when Libby explains. He then goes on to moan about being cut out of her and Ben's life especially as Ben is like a son to him. Libby takes exception to his and reminds Darren that Ben isn't his son although she does apologise for the tone she uses after she has said it.
DARREN: No, he's not my son and I was wondering when you were going to use it against me again.
School
Jessica interrupts the class to tell Angus she remembers where she has seen him before - at the pool - and that he looked hot in his bathers. The rest of the class laugh at this but neither he nor Rachel are impressed, she just looks at him and he threatens the class with after school detention if they haven't finished their work.
Ringo picks up on Rachel being quiet and thinks it is because she is working with him but she denies it and while the rest leave when the lunchtime buzzer goes, she hangs back to talk to him.
RACHEL: Angus.
He ignores her so she says his name again and this time he acknowledges her.
ANGUS: If this isn't related to your schoolwork we have nothing to discuss. And it's Mr Henderson.
Rachel leaves the room since he isn't taking her on and he breaths a sigh of relief.
Ramsay Street
Toadie cycles home and runs into Darren and asks for his help in doing some electrical repairs. Steph and Darren re-acquaint themselves with each other and Steph heads over to hung-over Rosie who asks not to grass her up to Toadie for being late into work. Both squeal with delight at the gossip (working out that Carmy stayed over) before Rosie has to move quick to get a lift to work from Frazer who is running late for a pick up.
Marco's pad
Carmy reaffirms to Mia that nothing happened between her and Marco although Mia doesn't believe her and still thinks that it is her sponging off him, if not now then definitely in the future once bubs arrives. Again, Carmy puts her straight and asks if she does this to all his girlfriends but Mia gloats that his ex-wife was her best friend so didn't need to.
CARMELLA: (smugly) Now they're divorced.
Mia gives it to Carmy straight since they are being open and frank that Marco still loves his ex-wife and that they will get back together regardless of what Marco says.
Inside the flat, Marco is getting the third degree from his mum about bringing up another man's child before they head out to the balcony with the food.
Mia continues the put down by asking if the daddy is still in the picture (he is) and brings up that there will be a custody battle looming until Carmy finally bites back and tells Mia that she isn't a predator who hunted down her brother however their conversation is stopped mid-flow when Marco and his mum come out to the balcony.
Marco picks up that words have been spoken and Mia confirms that she told Carmy not to take advantage of him and Marco takes great delight in saying that he is the one who has been doing all the chasing and tells her to get used to it because he sees a great future for him and Carmy.
No. 32
Toadie is trying to deny to Darren that he caused some of the electrical faults and tries to pin it on Bob but when Darren ignores it, he tells him to put the tools down to chat. He begins by asking the obvious - what's wrong but Darren initially denies there is anything wrong before bluntly telling Toadie that he cheated on Libby. Toadie must be stunned by the news and Darren takes the silence to mean he is going to be thrown out.
No. 28
Libby brings Steph up to speed about Susan while absent-mindedly trying to make Steph a cuppa. Steph brings up the D-word and the fact Darren isn't staying with her and asks what is going on. Cue long pause before Libby replies that Darren cheated on her with a neighbour. Steph is stunned as Libby explains to her that all their friends knew and that the affair had been going on for months. She tells her friend that she is angry, angry at Darren and at herself for being so blind and thinking she could trust Darren again.
Marco's pad
Marco is relived to finally get rid of his mum and sister and apologises to Carmy for Mia's behaviour. He tries to get Carmy to stay but she says that she has things to do and departs.
No. 28 garage
Karl, Susan and Ben are looking through the Christmas decorations and Ben thinks he could decorate the whole street with the amount that is stored. They give Ben the task of looking for an angel in amongst the deco's so they can move away to talk about Libby and if she has opened up to either of them (she hasn't). While watching Ben rake for the deco, they reminisce about Libby at that age before Ben finally finds the deco and doesn't understand why they are looking at him like they are.
No. 28/No. 32
Inside, Steph is still having trouble believing that Darren would cheat on her and wonders what goes on inside men's brains! (I think we'd all like to know the answer to that one! Lib replies that because it must be exciting (since it is forbidden) and when Steph asks what was he thinking about, nonchalantly says "that the grass is greener."
Over at No. 32 Darren rejects Toadie asking if the grass was indeed greener on the other side even if that is what Libby chooses wrongly to believe. Toadie asks him why did he do it then.
"The chase, the great seduction" Libby says to Steph. Steph comments that doesn't sound like Darren.
Darren tells Toadie that the 'other woman' was called Linda but adds that she wasn't a home wrecker despite having a lot of tragedy in her life. He describes Linda as being sweet and kind and that things between them just happened. Toadie doesn't quite see it that way and has a go at him for bringing a 3rd person into a relationship until Darren explains that there has always been a 3rd person.
And over at No. 28 we find out who it was - Drew, as Libby admits that she misses him and that he would never have cheated on her (no that is why they killed him off!) and that she could reply on him.
Darren describes Drew as being a ghost and felt that the memory of him hung over them all the time.
Lib tells Steph that Darren told her that she drove him to it before adding "and worse still, it was Drew."
Darren says that he wanted to adopt Ben but Libby rejected that idea citing that it would diminish Ben's memory of his father.
DARREN: I made a mistake Toad. I know I did but I'm going to keep trying until she lets me make it up to her.
Steph is stunned to hear that Darren wants a 2nd chance.
Back with the boys and Toadie tells Darren that he has his support while at the same time Steph is telling Libby that she is behind her all the way.
The General Store
"Oh my retina's" Harold tells Lou when he comes out of the kitchen dressed as the human equivalent of a Christmas tree but turns out Harold is miffed because Lou nabbed it all for himself.
Rachel catches Zeke have him confirm that he is best mates with Taylah now before reminding him who her best mate is but he tells her that Taylah is nothing like Jessica - she's cool. Both refuse to disclose what they got up to last night before Rachel walks over to where Didge is sitting. The girls chat for a few minutes before Didge tells Rachel who has just walked in - Angus and both look at each other.
No. 32
Steph arrives home and isn't pleased to see that Darren is still there and tells Toadie about Darren cheating on Libby. Toadie explains that he knows about it and Steph takes exception to this before telling Darren to "get out of her house". Toadie is annoyed to hear her describe it as her house and reminds her that it is his house too and therefore Darren is welcome to stay. The two of them argue over it but Darren decides to leave.
Lassiter's Complex
Marco runs into Carmy as she is exiting Charlie's and invites her for lunch but its too late she's had lunch with Rosie, so he invites her for dinner instead. Behind his back, Rosie nods for her to say yes and decides to answer for her sister that dinner would be nice. "I'd love to but I can't," replies Carmy before changing her mind and agreeing to have dinner with him.
Rachel finally catches up with Angus as he exits TGS. She apologises profusely but he is still peeved at her lying to him about how old she was and the fact she is still at school. She apologises again before adding that she realises the seriousness of the situation and that she won't tell anyone. Angus asks if she's told her friend (Didge).
RACHEL: Okay, you're right; I've been really stupid but I
ANGUS: (interrupting) This may have been nothing fun for you but this is serious for me. You have no idea, you're just a schoolgirl.
RACHEL: (grabbing his arm to stop him leaving) Angus
ANGUS: I told you its Mr Henderson.
