Paul asking Gail to stay and look after him because he doesn't know or even like Elle, and who happens to hear him saying it.
No. 22
Gail is trying to get Paul to change his mind but he isn't budging and they find out Elle has heard it all when Sky comes in to ask for something.
No. 30
Ollie pleads to Carmella that he loves her and isn't amused at finding out she is back on the pills but his face turns to a shocked expression when she blurts out she was taking them to avoid the truth about them.
No. 22
Elle has a rant at her dad about him missing her birthdays and pacifying her with a cheque when she just wanted his love and explaining that is why she moved to Erinsborough. Gail tries to stop her ranting but she continues until she gets it all off her chest. Rant over and Paul thinks Elle is just being melodramatic so she orders him out of her house. Paul tries to use Steph and Toadie's arrival in the house as a way of stopping "the eviction" but in the end it is Elle that strops out of the house leaving all looking slightly embarrassed at what happened.
No. 30
Ollie wants to know when Carmy went back on the pills but she accuses him of being too busy with Elle. Both sit at separate ends of the sofa and Ollie asks if he should leave, she says no, before wondering how they got to this position.
No. 22
Gail is trying to get Paul to go after Elle but he is still peeved at her lying to him and Gail wastes no time in reminding him that he hasn't really changed - he is still the same selfish man she walked out on. She tries another tact by reminding Paul that Elle was created out of their love, so does that not mean something to him?
Ramsay Street
Elle sits in her car with a face like thunder watching Ringo and Rachel chat as they leave No. 28. He spots Carmy and leaves Rachel to chat with her even though she doesn't think Carmy will be up for chatting. He heads over regardless, as she is loading her things into the van. Carmy doesn't want to talk about her love-life but does say that she is going to hospital to properly get help to come off the drugs but will still give him his driving lesson.
Before she sets off though, she spots Elle in the car and before Elle can drive off, Carmy goes offer to inform her she's split up with Ollie. Elle replies that she is sorry to hear that but Carmy snidely remarks "I bet" before walking off and allowing Elle to watch Ollie as he too leaves No. 30. Their mutual gazing is interrupted with Gail coming out and calling her name but Elle simply drives off, ignoring her mum.
No. 22
Boyd leads the search party into the house to see if it is safe to leave but just as they are about to; Paul appears and invites them to stay once he gets more supplies. Paul then puts his foot in it by telling Boyd that his daughter needs feeding, cue a few explanations before Paul wonders what it was like raising his own kids when he asks to hold Kerry.
No. 30
Ringo offers to let Ollie back into his room while he works things out with Carmy but he tells Ringo to stay put as it's over between them. Ollie takes his frustrations out on Ringo for not knowing about Carmy being back on the happy pills and accuses Ringo of having a crush on her. Ringo explains that he doesn't but Ollie isn't listening as Rachel looks on horrified that it might be true.
Lassiter's reception
Gail catches up with Elle at the hotel and watches as she takes her frustration out on a customer over the phone. She remarks to her that she sounds just like her father and asks Elle to come back to Tassie with her. Elle turns down the invitation because she has a career to focus on and asks that she makes sure Paul is gone before she gets home.
No. 30
Ringo tries to explain that Ollie doesn't know what he is talking about but Rachel isn't exactly listening and reminds him that Carmy has other people in her life to help. He reminds her that he is Carmy's friend too and is going to stand by and support her.
Lassiter's hotel
Elle bangs on a door that a guest isn't authorised to be in the room and when the guest doesn't respond, she lets herself in and finds Ollie sitting on the floor. He immediately says that he's stuffed things up and she calls off the security re-enforcements that were on their way up. She sarcastically wonders why he didn't choose to crack up in another of his hotels adding that Vancouver is nice this time of the year! Charming! When that doesn't get a response out of him, she moves to leave but he asks her not to.
The General Store
Steph comes off the phone from talking to Adam to more bad news about the bar - the council have vetoed the new sign as it is too bright. Just as Sky is trying to convince her to run for council, Toadie arrives to take her out to more bad news.
Lassiter's Complex
Toadie shows Steph Stinger's wall that someone has started to work pointlessly work on as the council will just see it as vandalism. Sky explains that it was Caleb who started the wall as his way of saying thanks and Steph is cool for him to continue it even when Toadie reminds her about council policy towards vandalism. They depart having a mini-domestic and Boyd questions Sky about her giving Caleb the go-ahead to start the mural when she knew it risked getting Steph into possible trouble.
Lassiter's hotel room
Elle encourages Ollie to unburden himself about Carmy to her but he thinks she should be heading back to see her parents. She explains that isn't an enthralling prospect since her mum is leaving and her dad hates her. He comforts her when she starts to get upset after telling him she is going to knock back her mum's invitation to go home in favour of sticking it out and hoping Paul starts to remember.
Hospital
Carmella is surprised to see Rachel waiting at the hospital and is stunned when Rachel asks her to stop burdening Ringo with her problems especially as he has a crush on her. Rachel lays it on think about how much it is affecting him (when really she means her) and Carmy agrees to her request.
No. 22
Gail arrives home to tell Paul that she found their daughter but that she still wants him to go. Paul is about to go and pack but she stops him and tells him he isn't going anywhere until he sorts things out with Elle. Paul surprises Gail by asking if he can go back with her to Tasmania until things cool off but she is against the idea.
Lassiter's hotel room
Ollie and Elle bond over what they could do if they could escape their current situations.
No. 22
Gail accuses Paul of running away from Elle even though he thinks starting over again isn't running away. She urges him to stay and make things up with Elle especially since she is crying out for her dad to love her again, if only he'd let her.
GAIL: Look it may seem like an easy option now but I guarantee it if you walk away from her you'll never forgive yourself.
Lassiter's hotel room
Ollie and Elle continue the 'what if' conversation before starting to play fight each other which ends up with them together and kissing. Which begs the question, why could they not have got to this ages ago instead of forcing us to watch utterly painful ECO scenes!
Ramsay Street
Carmy breaks the news to Ringo that she isn't going to be taking him for any more driving lessons. She also apologises for letting him get too involved in her problems and leaning on him too much, calling it inappropriate. This is all news to Ringo and he wonders who put her up to this but she isn't saying and also breaks it to him that he won't be working for her either. He snatches her bag from her and takes out the keys to the Ute and speedily drives off, ignoring her completely.
