Hospital
SKY: It's Stingray.
DYLAN: What?
SKY: It's your brother - it's Stingray. I'm so sorry.
Sky tells him it was only once. Dylan wants to know if it was before or after JP and she eventually admits it was after. It happened at a time when she was so upset and angry at herself for them breaking up. She stresses that it wasn't Scott's fault and neither one of them meant for it to happen.
Dylan is clearly devastated. He asks what she's sorry for - for what she did with Stingray or for lying to him for so long? He'd actually started to think he could be a great dad. He wanted to give his kid the best start in life, but what kinda life will it have with a liar for a mum? He couldn't believe he almost married her. And, as for that pathetic gutless excuse for a brother...
Sky wants to tell Stingray the truth herself but Dylan won't hear of it - she'll never ever tell him what to do again.
Number 28
Susan appears with pompoms and tries out a cheer but Zeke's not impressed. He pretends that pompoms have been banned from footy games as they're too distracting (Susan buys this). Susan is so enthusiastic but Zeke's worried about stuffing up. She presents him with some Gummy Bears for halftime. He says she doesn't have to come and Susan realises that he doesn't want her to come. Zeke assures her she'd feel left out as none of the other players' mums come. She understands and says she lost interest the moment he told her she couldn't bring her pompoms.
Zeke decides to go and see Ned for some last minute tips and Susan tries out some unenthusiastic cheering with Audrey but Audrey's so not interested and scampers off.
Outside Number 28
Rachel thinks her trip with Stingray was so spiggin' fantastic she doesn't care that she might cop it from Suse. Stingray thanks her for trusting that he'd do the right thing; she's spiggin' unreal.
The sound of squealing tyres proceeds Dylan's arrival. He gets out and does a little jump over his car bonnet (which was all so unnecessary but kinda cool at the same time) in his urgency to get to Stingray.
DYLAN: So, have fun camping?!
Rachel and Stingray don't know how to take this as Dylan's acting very oddly but they tell him they did and Stingray passed the ultimate test not to drink. Dylan says Stingray still owes him for backing out of their trip and marches him over to his car, taking his camping bag with him. Rachel tells Stingray to be a good boy and Dylan jumps into the car before they roar away.
General Store
Sky calls Stingray's phone. Dylan picks up and tells her that her boyfriend is tied up and can't come to the phone at the moment. He tells her not to worry though as he's in safe hands. He hangs up as Stingray appears; he has the drinks and food - now bring on the dancing girls! Once Stingray has left Dylan plants a kiss on his mobile and chucks it in the bin.
Hospital
Sky is leaving another message for Dylan, pleading with him not to take this out on Stingray. Karl appears and Sky demands to know why she ever listened to him. Karl thinks it was for the best but Sky thinks Karl only ever wanted to clear his conscience. He doesn't care what happens now it's out in the open. Karl thinks it isn't true but Sky tells him he never thinks he's wrong. Like with Susan and Izzy and all his secrets... Karl says he told the truth about that eventually and that's all by the by - the real issue is Sky's duty to protect her baby. Sky wants to know who protects the father. Karl thinks Stinger and Dylan are just talking it through but Sky believes Dyl might hurt Stingray. Karl thinks he wouldn't as he'd end up in jail again. He tries to reassure her but Sky thinks things have never been so bad for Dylan - what if he thinks he has nothing to lose?
Number 26
Janelle can't imagine what Dylan is going through now. Bree's in shock. Janelle says to Harold that Sky's lie was pretty poor of her. Harold is disappointed in her but Bree thinks the main thing is she came clean. Janelle thinks Harold must be chuffed his great-grandkid won't be a Timmins...
Lou suggests Harold put the kettle on as he knows that all ills can be cured by a good cuppa. Once Harry and Lou have left Bree asks Janelle if she thinks Sky and Dyl will ever reunite; Janelle thinks stranger things have happened.
Lou says to Harold that he has to tell Janelle - she only knows half the story. But Harold thinks that's in Sky's hands. Their heated discussion alerts Janelle and she spies on them. Lou tells Harold that it is his business as Sky came to him when she first fell pregnant; she confided, thus Lou is involved. So if Harold won't tell Janelle, he will.
JANELLE: Tell me what?
Number 28
Susan is seeing Zeke off and emphasising that it's the taking part that matters and not goals! No pressure.
Rachel appears and asks Susan why she's not going to the game. She tells her that no one takes their mum to the footy.
Zeke reappears and says that he's changed his mind - he wants Susan to come and watch. Susan is so happy and promises not to get all overenthusiastic (like Max did during Boyd's cricket matches - *cringe*) or bring her pompoms. Susan is thrilled and thanks him before Zeke leaves to walk to the footy field.
Susan has loads of telling off time for Rachel. She's not one bit happy that she left without telling her about it. Rachel says she would've let her go when she realised how important it was; they sorted out some big issues. Susan is still huffing and puffing over it, even though Rach assures her that 'nothing happened', so she can 'relax'.
Karl arrives home and asks Rachel if she knows where Stingray is. Once she's told him where Stinger's gone she asks why he needs to know but Karl can't disclose much, beyond the fact that Sky told Dylan something he hasn't taken very well. Rachel tells them that she already knows that Stinger and Sky had something once but it was only once and she's okay with it now. Karl and Susan exchange glances and suggest she take a seat.
Bar by the seafront
At a bar/hotel type place by the Melbourne seafront Scotty is getting excited about what a wonderful wedding Dyl and Sky are gonna have. Stingray notices he's lost his phone and Dylan strongly suggests he forget about it as he probably lost it in the bush. Stingray is a bit takenaback by his reaction.
Dingoes Game
Zeke runs into a large, older looking lad who he can't believe is in the under-fifteens team. The bloke informs him he has been for the past two years. Zeke looks a trifle terrified at his opposite number.
Number 26
Janelle and Bree now know the truth as the reaction has started; Bree wants to know if Stingray knows and Janelle blasts Harold when he says Sky was waiting for a better time; she might not have told them until the kid's 21st! Lou reminds them that Scott is at fault too but Janelle wants to go and deal with Sky.
Susan and Rachel appear and Lou tells them they have no info on where Dylan and Stingray are. Rachel is worried and can't answer their questions. Bree says they don't know what Dyl is capable of - he could beat Stingray up...or worse....
Hospital
Janelle wants five minutes with Sky but Karl won't allow it. Despite her best efforts Janelle is unsuccessful.
Karl manages to march Janelle off just as Sky appears from her room, slowly wheeling her drip down the corridor. Bree approaches her and tells her that Stinger and Dylan are still missing. She tells her that she didn't come to talk about that, but to return her bridesmaid's dress, which she has no use for now. Bree also returns the comic book stuff as their stories hardly compare. Sky apologises but Bree says it's too late; she looked up to her and dreamed she could be like her one day. It was like someone finally understood her. But now she doesn't think she can forgive her.
Sky shouts after her but Bree keeps on walking away.
Bar
Dylan asks Stingray if there's anything he needs to know that would rule him out of being best man. Stingray says there's nothing... nothing that bad.
They spot a girl being hassled by some blokes and Dyl thinks they should help her out; if Sky were here she'd give them what for. Stingray looks mighty uncomfortable but they go up to the group. Dyl pours a glass of water over the yob's head and tells him she's not interested. Stinger and Dylan break into a run and the group of blokes chase them right out of the bar.
Hospital
Rachel appears and is almost going to leave right away but Sky encourages her to come in. Sky would rather Rach gave her what-for (which is totally my favourite phrase of the episode) but Rachel thinks that would be a really bad look. There's no news on the boys but Rach has to believe they're just talking and they'll sort things out.
She asks Sky if she and Stinger are going to be together now but Sky assures her there's no way. She doesn't want it to come between her and Stingray. Rachel tearfully tries to convince herself that everything can be the same between her and Stingray, as she's been so happy.
RACHEL: Why does it all have to change?
Dingoes Game
The scores are level between Erinsborough and West Waratah. Bree arrives and stands by the sidelines, shouting at the very large fifteen-year old when he pushes Zeke.
Zeke gets to kick the ball and after a few tense moments we see he's scored! Way to go, Zeke. Zeke's now mega popular with his team mates but his smile fades when he sees Bree walk off.
General Store
Zeke finds Bree after the game and tells her she should have stuck around. Bree says she was just passing by and wasn't there to see him. However, she says congratulations - at least one of them has something to celebrate. Zeke doesn't get to ask what's up as his team members pull him back into their group.
Lou tells Harold to go and see Sky but Harold doesn't know what to say to her. Lou reminds him that she's his granddaughter and is hurting too. With so many people hating her she needs her granddad in her camp. Harold sighs.
Hospital
Even though it's dark, Sky (with her drip) and Harold head outside to chat. Harold apologises for the things he said - he regrets them now. Sky says it worked a treat as she told Dyl the truth. Harold says he knows and Sky knows it will have spread fast and everyone will hate her now! Harold tries to comfort her but she says she messed up two of the most important people in her life - she's not fit enough to look after anyone's child! Harold tells her she has to stop talking like that. Despite what he said before he's still here for her, and they'll get through this - together. Dylan and Stingray will work things out too. Most importantly, Sky has chosen the right path. They hug.
Number 26
Janelle assures Bree that Dylan wouldn't do anything really bad. Susan tells them that Stingray's phone been handed in, which Janelle is positive about but Bree thinks it might be evidence he's lying unconscious somewhere. Rachel and Janelle tell her that wouldn't happen but Bree thinks it could. Janelle starts to blame herself for forcing Sky and Dyl back together - if she hadn't, then none of this would be happening. Susan assures her it's not her fault. Janelle is torn between being mad at Stingray and worried sick about him. Rachel thinks maybe no news is good news. You just know that Bree is thinking pessimistic thoughts but she doesn't say anything.
Bar
Night has fallen. Both Dylan and Stingray display their war wounds after their run-ins with the blokes from the bar. Stinger has got the (soft) drinks in. They reminisce about what they got up to in Colac. Stingray is glad they came here and got out of their nowhere lives. Dylan, looking all dramatic with the wind blowing in his hair, muses he'd have never met Sky if he hadn't. Stingray thinks him and Sky have it made. He was so stoked when they got back together. Stingray asks Dylan to promise him something. Dylan is facing away with him and looking very troubled but asks what. Stingray wants him to promise they'll still hang out like this, after he and Sky get hitched.
Dylan turns around and stares at him.
DYLAN: Sorry, mate. I can't make that promise.
