While Lucy wants to call the police to deal with his smashed up living room, Paul sarcastically says that somebody obviously wants him out and he's unpopular enough without having to get the police around. Lucy is adamant that she wants them involved, despite Paul's reluctance, so he tells her that he knows who is responsible for the damage and he'll deal with it in his own time.
No. 30 - home of the hen night
It's a hen night with a difference at the HoT HQ - only Susan is there because Steph is busy, Izzy isn't answering her phone, Lyn is at work, Lil has issues and everyone else is watching films! Susan says that they can have fun with just the two of them…once they decide on what to do. Spotting a quivering lip, Susan asks if she is okay.
SINDI: No I‘m not. My fiancée is out on some filthy Neanderthal rampage and I'm stuck here with you. He could be anywhere doing anything or anyone.
SUSAN: Oh come on when it comes to things like that men are all talk.
SINDI: No. I've seen what happens at these bucks' nights first hand Susan. Men are feral in groups. I know what some of these dancers will do to get an extra buck.
Susan tells her to stop because Stuart loves her and Connor and Toadie will keep him in line. She then tells Sindi to start having a good time and Sindi stuffs her face with crisps.
Karl pops in to see how Stuart's party is progressing which appears to be quite sedate apart from Stuart being handcuffed to a chair.
Janelle asks Stinger for a time check to see how long it is until Stupid Aussie begins and he says 27 minutes. Janelle and Stinger are looking forward to it but Janae isn't and is mortified to discover that Janelle has been on the phone to friends in Colac (Mr Ozzie/Ozziebabe - did she phone you?) to get them to tune in and vote. Bree comes through to give Janelle comments on her novel and Janelle asks that only the two of them know what is being written since they are literally types! Janae and Stinger start squabbling over using Janae's mobile phone to vote in the comp but Janelle laws down the law - get used to the embarrassment!
At the bar, Toadie tells Karl that it is good to see him out given what has happened recently and Connor adds that Izzy has disappeared and adds that even Max doesn't know where she is. Karl's comment - typical attention seeking act and he couldn't care less what she does. Stuart and his trusty chair appear wondering if they are doing to observe Sindi's rules about the entertainment or not and Toadie replies that what Sindi doesn't know won't hurt her! Karl isn't happy when he hears Connor say that “deep dark secrets are what keeps a relationship sparky.” Stuart gives in, as long as it is tasteful!
Joe wants info from Serena about Lyn. Serena replies that she is a hairdresser, has 5 kids of whom 3 are overseas and she is divorced or separated. Joe actually wanted her likes and dislikes, not her personal history, so she says that Lyn likes cooking, reading. Serena becomes suspicious and wants to know why he wants this info and confirms he likes Lyn. A knock at the door interrupts their cosy chat - it's Paul and she wants to know why he is there given that Lil and David are at the movies not that they'd want to talk to him anyway! Paul tells her he wants a word…alone but Joe refuses to leave.
SERENA: Just say what you've come to say and leave.
PAUL: All right, the graffiti sprayed across my wall, the damage to my belongings, you realise they've all got to be paid for don't you?
SERENA: (smirking) Your house is vandalised? Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!
Paul tells her to stop playing games or he calls the police. Joe pleads with him not to call the police as she hasn't admitted to doing anything. Serena tells him to go ahead and call them…because he deserved it and wishes he'd get the hint that he's not wanted here. Paul tries to tell her that he knows she resents him given what happened between Lil and himself and she screams that she hates him. Paul however shouts louder and tells her that he won't tolerate this and to use her teenage angst doing something else and if he comes near his place again he'll be straight onto the police. Joe answers on her behalf, but Paul asks if he's made himself clear and Serena replies “crystal” before Paul leaves.
Bree brings through the popcorn while they discuss the other acts on Stupid Aussie. The commercial break finishes and “Brittney with a balance problem” aka Janae's video appears much to her horror. The host announces that the studio audience is voting to see who wins the $5k prize and tells the watching audience to text in their votes too - cue mad texting as Janae says they're wasting their time because there is no way she can win.
The buck's night has now moved to a more appropriate venue and Stuart has lost his mate the chair too but he wants to call it a night. Connor and Toadie talk him out of it though…just as his stripper arrives telling him he's been found guilty of being a very naughty boy and has been sentenced to be severely punished!
The host's voice comes over the TV to say that the votes are in and the winner is “Brittney with a balance problem” aka Janae! Stinger, Bree and Janelle celebrate but Janae is gob smacked.
Joe wants to know why Serena is admitting to something she didn't do…even if he does agrees with her that Paul got what he deserved. Serena tries to leave but Joe says he is worried about her, so she explains that Paul ruined her family. Joe still doesn't believe she did it because she's been acting so calm and tells her it isn't her style because she is too much of a goody-goody. Serena says he doesn't know what he is talking about and calmly Joe tells her that she might want to talk about it, so she finally admits that although she didn't do it she wishes she had so it makes her feel better about things. She asks Joe if Paul will call the police and him replies no because he has other things to worry about. Joe asks her why she did it, who is she covering for and Serena replies dad…because he has reason to do something.
The stripper bides farewell and Toadie comments that Connor should ask her or someone else at the club out to get Serena the schoolgirl out of his system. Connor and his trusty camcorder, goes off leaving Toadie standing. He is crowd watching and notices a redhead woman, and when the lady turns round, Toadie thinks it is Sindi! Toadie runs towards Stuart and tells him that Sindi is here but Stuart thinks he is seeing things because Sindi is on her hen night. Toad tries to insist that she is here and Stuart asks him to point her out or bring her to him… except Toadie can't spot her anymore. Stuart sarcastically asks if the person was wearing a black wig but he replies it was a red one this time.
STUART: Will you cut it out Toadie okay. I love her, I trust her and I'm sick and tired of your paranoia. Why don't you come and join our mates for my buck's party? That will be great. Thanks.
Everyone is trying to spend Janae's winnings when she announces that she is keeping the money! Janelle tries to tell her that they had an agreement and Janae replies that she never agreed to send the video in so she is keeping it.
The boys noisily make their way into the house and interrupt the hen's night…except there is no hen's night in progress - Susan is sleeping on the couch and there is no sign of Sindi. Their arrival also startles Susan awake because of the noise and wants to know what time it is. Connor says 3ish and apologises for waking her but Susan just wants to know why she has been sleeping a long time. Connor invites her to sleep on the Couch of Trouser, which she turns down, as Sindi makes an appearance dressed in her PJ's. Susan announces that she is going home and after thanking Sindi for a great night, Toadie shows Susan to the door where she admits that she can't believe she fell asleep at a hen's night. He asks if she went out and Susan replies no, so he asks if Sindi went out and again Susan replies no as far as she knows but adds that she did fall asleep.
Back in the living room, Toadie asks Sindi what she got up to while Susan was asleep for hours. Stuart tells him not to start but Sindi replies that there was a Katherine Hepburn double on Channel 44 and she got stuck into that. Toadie quickly checks the TV guide, which proves that there was a double bill on. Stuart now decides to confess and tell Sindi the truth that they went to a strip joint instead of going rollerskating, despite how she felt about it. He adds that it was just harmless fun and wanted to tell him so they don't start married life with secrets. Sindi appreciates his honesty and thanks him for it, which surprises Stuart. With Toadie listening and giving it the evil eye, Stuart adds that if she did go down to the club to check up on them, then that would be fine. Sindi replies with a “right”, so Stuart asks if she didn't check up on them and Sindi says “why would I?” In the background, Toadie shakes his head as Stuart says there was no reason and Sindi adds that she trusts him completely and is glad he had a really good time.
School corridor (next day)
Janae is on her way to class when she gets some stick from a group of girls asking Brittney to bust a move for them. Janae ask if they'd like a slapped face but they don't and move off. Bree suddenly appears and tells her sister that they will eventually forget but Janae isn't in the mood for it and tells her “like you‘d care”. When Stinger appears he is told not to even say anything…so he smirks quietly to himself until she leaves and Serena appears. He asks her if she seen Janae on the TV last night but Serena is in a world of her own. Eventually she speaks and tells him that Paul officially starts back today, and Stinger confirms he'd heard it too. He asks if she is going to be all right. Serena replies that she would be…if Paul left and adds that it looks like Paul is there for good.
Paul escorted by Lucy makes his way into the school wondering if the kids are going to eat him alive! Lucy replies that they'll “eat out of his hand more like.” He asks her if she is sure she can't stay for a few more weeks and Lucy replies that she is only a phonecall away and adds that she'll phone him when she gets to JFK. They hug each other goodbye and Lucy departs.
Paul walks slowly to the front of the class after telling them to settle down and be quiet. Paul tells the class he is walking with the aid of a stick because he was involved in a serious accident but is fine now and looking forward to resuming his teaching duties. As he starts to write something on the board, Stinger stupidly calls out something out but when Paul wants the culprit to won up, he remains silent. A note now gets passed around the class and it ends up at Serena where she read what it says (Stumpy loves your mum) and after reading it she doesn't look very happy.
Joe appears to continue working on the roof and Janelle lets him in and tells him that she likes a bloke who is good with his hands! He asks if Lyn is around and Janelle gives him the bad news that Lyn is covering for her at work. They start to talk about Lyn and Janelle says that she's had a rough trot romance wise and the last thing she needs is another rat bag! Joe confirms he isn't a rat bag, which meets with Janelle's seal of approval but she'll still keep her eye on him…just in case.
As Toadie has his breakfast, Connor surfaces from behind the sofa complete with a major hangover and pledging not to eat again but Toadie tells him to take two of these (some sort of tablets) and tells him to go to the kitchen and have some toast and to drink a litre of tomato juice (sure he just doesn't want Connor to throw up instead?) Connor goes to hug him but Toadie points him in the direction of the shower because he stinks and bare-chested Stuart appears to take his place.
Toad says there is toast on but Stuart isn't hungry. Toadie again tries to tell Stuart that he did see Sindi at the buck's night and why would he lie. Stuart replies that he has something against Sindi, which Toadie agrees with because she is lying to his face. Stuart still doesn't believe what he is saying and Toadie firmly tells him that she was stalking him, trying to catch him out and that it is obsessive and unbalanced and adds that he is making a massive mistake by marrying Sindi and tells him to call it off.
