Paul convincing Susan he can help the kids at school
Stingray and Serena getting back together
Izzy and Paul's steamy sauna encounter…Izzy losing her towel
Paul and Izzy inch closer and closer to one another….just as they may be about to do something, the sauna door opens and Boyd abruptly interrupts their moment. He gives them both an almost disgusted look before leaving.
Flicking through “All Her” magazine (with Carmella gracing the cover), Dylan is startled when Susan pops up behind him…and waves up a screwdriver in her face. Freaked out, Susan wants to know what he's doing – and apologising, gestures towards the cabinet that he was fixing. He's just used to watching his own back… Stingray pops out and he and Dylan run out of the house to school.
“Hey muscles” is Izzy's greeting to Boyd…but he isn't in the mood for small chit-chat. Izzy tries to explain that nothing happened in the sauna, but Boyd cuts her off, not wanting her to make the same mistake. People have just gotten used to the Karl thing. Izzy wonders who cares – “the close minded cul-de-sac?” and she does have friends in Sindi and Carmella. Boyd doesn't want her to stuff up again because he knows she'd be run out of town this time and they like having her around.
House of Trouser
While Connor is still on the phone, Carmella comes in with a beautiful bunch of flowers. Quickly hanging up, Connor whispers to the person that his next challenge has arrived…Carmella immediately thanks Connor for the flowers and card – “Beautiful flowers for a beautiful cover girl” but Connor has no idea what she is talking about. Shrugging it off, he suggests they get coffee.
Carmella explains that most fan items from the magazine have been from men, which has her puzzled as it's a women's mag – but Connor explains it doesn't stop them from seeing the hot girl on the cover! Dylan, Stingray and Serena walk in, with Dylan immediately going down on his knees in front of Carmella, professing how “It's all her” and how even more hot she is in real life! He wonders if Carmella has done maybe lingerie modelling? Expecting Connor to be a little jealous – it's a real surprise when he asks if Dylan wants a photo with her, which of course he does.
Wanting to escape the gushing of a teen boy, Carmella heads over to Izzy, telling her the magazine is going quite well and they should catch up. She notices Izzy is pretty distracted and wonders what is wrong, but Izzy says all is fine. “You put the hot in ‘you are hot'” gushes Dylan, this time with a bright flower for Carmella. Noticing she needs to be saved pronto, Izzy quickly waves Carmella over for a chat.
Serena and Stingray have a thumb wrestle in the hallway, Stinger winning and they grab another kiss and thumb wrestle before Serena rushes off. Dylan congratulates Stingray on getting a ‘hot cool chick' like Serena.
Having their girly chat…Izzy confesses it's just a flirtation and nothing has happened…at least, not yet. But, even though she's still with Karl, this other guy is driving her crazy and she can't stand it! Carmella, not wanting to know who this man is, asks if he feels the same way. “He's definitely feeling something!” Carmella has no idea what to say, but Izzy explains she's just plain bored with her relationship.
IZZY: It's boring…I mean the right thing, it's dull and boring! I don't know if Karl and I have the spark anymore.
CARMELLA: You can't be hot for each other all the time!
Izzy looks genuinely perplexed at why this can't be the case, and Carmella explains relationships usually go through different cycles and periods. She says Izzy should not throw away her relationship just for a fling – looking at her father, she knows he was not happy even though he has flings all his life. Karl loves Izzy and she'd be foolish to throw it all away.
Susan and Paul discuss his financial lecture…she is sure that Paul will make it as lively as he possibly can. Inside the classroom when introductions have been put aside, Paul starts his talk on “Business Practice and Financial Responsibility”. He talks about his own business portfolio and how much he has been able to increase his net fold…despite having been in prison for fraud a few years ago and losing everything. Shocked, but attentive, the kids listen up. Susan looks up, she too in shocked surprise. Paul explains that they will turn $100 into $300 by the end of the class, without any magic but just the expertise of business practice. Dylan looks positively stoked.
Somewhat intense music plays, as Boyd works on weights for his arms. He increases the load and continues on, not before noticing how shaky and red he's becoming. Flash shot of arms and legs working out when we see that Boyd is now working on his leg muscles, his face going very bright red!
Paul explains what they'll be doing in class, with the working of groups against each other and then an individual winner will earn a part time job in one of his companies. Susan buts in that they'll need permission slips. Before finishing, Dylan asks Paul about the state of the stock market and the different currencies between the Yen and the Euro dollar.
As soon as they're done, Susan thanks Paul for the talk, although she wishes he'd told her about his prior conviction. Parents may get the wrong idea…Paul says he'll take care of it if anything like that happens. When he leaves, Susan looks mighty apprehensive.
Spooning protein powder into his drink, Susan comes on over and they talk about Boyd's new job. She lets him know that there's always a place for him at school…should his plans not work out. Boyd takes offence to this statement, thinking everyone is just waiting for him to fail. He is happy with the choice he made and how school isn't for everyone. He just leaves her standing there. Susan gives Male#3 another apprehensive look.
The interior designer, Cameron is having a vision…he's envisioning stainless steel…though scrubbed for the bar. They'll match the fixtures, industrial but not too much. He admits it'll be pricey…give or take $100 000. Paul is not impressed at all, and suggests that Cameron cut his fee. Of course, it's not possible. They're about to get into a heated argument before Izzy steps in and suggests they use stainless steel chairs but just cover them up to get rid of any “coldness”. They don't lose the look and save on the price. Cameron thinks it's brilliant and they can apply the same to the shelving. He leaves to call the manufacture which lets Izzy smugly tell Paul she's not just a pretty face.
Stingray and Serena walk in on Dylan reading – they're mad at him for not meeting for lunch like he was suppose to. They head out and Dylan accidentally brushes into two guys and nearly gets into a fight. Stingray pushes him outside and asks him to drop the tough guy act. He doesn't have to fight anymore and can be whoever he wants to be.
House of Trouser
Carmella and Connor sit on the couch before the phone starts to ring and ring and ring. She tells him to leave it because it will probably be another one of her admirers. The same admirers who have gotten her email address and fax number! She's had a bevy of offers for dinner and movies to last her for months…of course, Connor shows no hint of being jealous. She then holds up a bottle of expensive-looking perfume, thanking him for it. She's miffed when Connor claims he did not slip it into her bag…
Dylan and Stingray fight for the bathroom, with Stingray winning. Serena just laughs, not knowing why she always wanted a brother. But Dylan explains he looks after his sisters and feels bad for always beating his brothers up when they were younger. He explains people only had to look at him and he'd snap, but he believes he's different now. He hasn't been in any fights for starters. Serena suddenly explains she has to leave, not because of Dylan but because David is making her to go a council thing, having even picked her a dress to wear! He thanks her for listening, then offers to drive Serena over instead of catching the bus.
They finish their business meeting and Cameron smugly tells them he only works “for fun” as he really likes to oversee his investments. He then starts going into Paul, wondering if he has anything else bar the small investment in Lassitars. Cameron likes taking risks…the money is one thing, but if there's no risk, what is the point? It's the thrill of the game, that's what it's all about.
Before Cameron leaves, Paul gets him offside by wondering how much he is worth. Izzy can't believe he'd ask, but he answers about $4 million, give or take. Paul grins, and offers to toss him for it. He'll toss a coin for $4 million dollars. Cameron is just flabbergasted, not knowing what to say, but Izzy looks positively excited.
PAUL: I mean the money's one thing, but it's the thrill of the game that counts or did I hear you incorrectly?
House of Trouser
Connor tells Lucia thank you for the flowers and the perfume…but soon realises she did not send it. Carmella comes back in, wearing the perfume and asks Connor's opinion. He hates it, doesn't want her to ever wear it and they are going to throw out the flowers as they probably came from a lunatic. He finally says he is jealous!
In their little mind game, Paul again asks what Cameron will do. He is willing to risk millions of dollars on the toss of a coin, if Cameron is. He even gives Cameron the coin toss and calls heads…Cameron is about to look at the coin, but instead puts it in his pocket and leaves. Izzy can't believe what Paul was about to do! Imagine if he'd lost…
PAUL: You loved it!
IZZY: No I didn't.
PAUL: Oh please.
IZZY: You don't know what I think.
PAUL: Izzy, I can read people. I read Cameron, I knew he was never going to ahead with it. And I can read you too.
IZZY: Then you would know that I think you are arrogant and stupid.
PAUL: And have a suite upstairs and I think it's about time we used it, don't' you?
