Recap
Libby telling Susan she's decided to go back to teaching.
Sindi's very long list of pros and cons of their relationship.
Lana kissing Sky.
Bishop House
Sky doesn't know what to make of the kiss. When Lana realises that Sky doesn't feel the same way that she does, she tries to make it out to be a joke, and leaves very quickly. Out in the street, Sky runs after her, and runs into Boyd. At first, Sky doesn't want to tell him what happened, but changes her mind. Back at Sky's place, they talk about it. Boyd thinks it's wrong, and thinks she was using Boyd to get to Sky. He thinks Lana might be bisexual, but Sky thinks she's just confused about her sexuality. Boyd gets his mobile and pretends to make some calls. He can't stop joking about it.
Coffee Shop
Lana sits alone, her chocolate milkshake untouched. Sindi joins her. They talk about her relationship with Toadie until Sindi notices Lana is upset about something. Bursting into tears, she says she doesn't want to tell, because Sindi will be disgusted. When Sindi encourages her to say, she explains that she is gay. Sindi is not disgusted; instead, she says "good for you." Lana says that everywhere she goes, she gets jealous of people she doesn't even know, because it's like they're all in on a secret, and know how to be "normal". Sindi tells her she has nothing to be ashamed of. Lana explains that this is the reason she was given a hard time by the kids at her old school, and asks Sindi not to tell her parents. Sindi tries to convince her that they'll understand.
Number 30
Toadie and Stu are having a go on their Playstation, and won't let Stingray and Connor have a go. Toadie asks Stu how long he'll be off the force. Stu tells him he has to wait until the dust settles from the investigation into Mac's after-hours activities. Connor asks Toadie about Sindi, and Toadie makes a $50 that in the next 24 hours she'll be begging to get back together. Connor accepts.
Coffee Shop
Lana continues to talk about her old school, where she fell in love with her best friend, and told her. Before long the whole school found out. Sindi tells her to keep her feelings to herself until she knows that they're reciprocated. Lana goes on to say that she kissed Sky, and that she doesn't know how Sky took it, because she ran away. Sindi tells her not to worry about Sky, because she's a lot more mature than other girls her age. Lana argues that she can be dirty as well, and reminds her of how things were between them to start with. Sindi tells her she was just being territorial, with Boyd and all.
Susan's place (next morning)
It's Libby's first day back at school, and Libby is a bundle of nerves. Sindi suggests reading the paper, so other people's problems will distract her form her own. Libby takes the paper, but goes into her room. Susan says she hopes the kids go easy on her. Sindi says that if anyone can handle it, Libby can. Susan says the kids have probably gone onto the next bit of gossip by now. Stingray comes in, apparently blind because he was staring at the video game too long last night, and Lara Croft has been burned into his eyes. Libby returns, and reads her horoscope out loud: "You've been travelling along a rocky road for many moons now, but today, life offers you a new path. But do not fear; you have the experience and knowledge to navigate your way successfully." Susan sarcastically wonders if it's talking about her new job. "I don't know," says Libby. "Could it, Carla?" she asks, looking at Sindi. Sindi tells her, "Carla only writes what is already decided in the stars."
Erinsborough High
Susan reminds Libby that she's a very good teacher, and wouldn't be there if she wasn't. Stingray tries to offer his own words of encouragement, telling her that the whole one-night stand with Taj is old news. Boyd and Sky continue to talk about last night. Sky apparently left 5 messages, but Lana didn't call back. Boyd makes some more smart-ass comments that Lana overhears. Sky goes to talk to her, but she walks off.
Hair Salon
Lyn has asked Jack to do a few handyman jobs at the salon. They start to joke around, and Lyn says that she has missed that. She tells Jack that she's proud of him, turning his life around and getting back on track. Stu comes in to tell Jack that they have found Mac responsible for the worksite thefts. Stu seems a little down because his partner is guilty, and Lyn offers to give him a new look. She wants to get rid of his facial hair, because the soul patch was last year and even Shannon Noll has had his removed. Stu does not want to get rid of it.
Erinsborough High
Sky saves a seat for Lana, but Stingray takes it. Libby comes in to teach her first class. She starts writing on the board, and the class starts laughing and talking and carrying on. She quiets them, and Stingray makes an announcement that he's glad to have her there, and Libby thanks him for the support. She makes a little speech about how she knows there might be rumours, and if there's any questions she'll be more than happy to answer them, but she won't tolerate sniggering and Chinese whispers in her class. Susan has overheard from outside and is quite pleased. The class goes well.
Number 30
Stu is telling Toadie and Connor that the soul patch is integral to his mojo, and chicks dig it. Connor points out that Lyn doesn't. "With all due respect, Lyn isn't the demographic I'm targeting," Stu replies. He tells Toadie he can't compare the soul patch to his stinkin' mullet. There's a knock at the door. "Oh no," says Connor. "It's the fashion police! Quick, run! Back fence!" Stu answers the door. "Shannon, hi! Is Toadie in?" It's Sindi. Toadie thinks she wants him back, but Sindi says she wants his advice as a friend. She tells him about Lana, without naming names. Sindi doesn't feel like she's qualified to handle the situation, and asks if he thinks it would be a betrayal to ask for reinforcements, maybe Susan. Toadie tells her that what the friend needs to someone who's not judgemental, someone who makes them feel good about themselves just by being around them, and before too long the friend is going to have enough strength to take the next step herself. Toadie then tells her that Sindi is more than qualified for the job. Sindi says she knew Toadie wasn't some football and beer boofhead. He has hidden talents and should bring them out more often. Toadie agrees, and kisses her. Toadie jokingly asks if "friend" is code for Sindi, after all those emails and everything. "Sebastian" takes off "his" jacket and walks towards the bedroom; "Tanya" follows but says "she" isn't that type of girl.
Erinsborough High
Boyd catches up with Sky in detention, who tells him that Lana has been avoiding her all day. Boyd says it's for the best, but Sky disagrees, saying they need to talk about it some time. Susan and Lana walk in, and Susan tells Boyd to get out, no visitors in detention. Lana has been trying to get Susan to drop the detention, now that they've worked out their differences. Susan tells her that it doesn't entitle them to a get out of jail free card. She leaves the girls to it. Sky tries to break down the barrier between them by talking about a new idea for an Enigma and Freak Girl comic. Lana suddenly says they need to talk about last night. Lana continues to pretend she was joking with the kiss, and although Sky tries to tell her she doesn't have to pretend, Lana wants won't hear it, and asks Sky not to spread it around.
Hair Salon
Jack finishes the jobs Gino has asked of him, and Lyn gossips about Mrs Hoffman, one of her clients, who apparently has a five foot chandelier in her living room. He leaves, with Susan coming in. She hears the name "Mrs Hoffman", and mentions the chandelier. Susan notices how Jack is now, and says it looks promising. She tells Lyn about Libby's day, and they agree they both have a right to brag about their kids. Libby comes in, having got a message to come to the salon. She is being treated to the full salon treatment to celebrate her good first day.
Number 30
Stu is eating a piece of toast, and Connor tells him he has a bit of vegemite on his chin, which turns out to be just his soul patch again. Stu comes back saying at least he has facial hair. Toadie and Sindi return from the bedroom, talking about the simple things like attention to detail being what matters. They talk about their relationship. Toadie says he's happy if Sindi wants time to herself, and they agree not to rush things.
Erinsborough High
Lana makes a date with Brendan. Sky tells her she can stop it, she doesn't have to prove anything to her. She tells her she's lying not only to Sky but to herself. Before things get to heated, Susan walks in, and Lana leaves when Susan says the detention is over. Susan asks about the argument, and Sky covers it up, saying it was about the comic book. Lana overhears from outside.
