Libby calls Darren and asks him to come back, explaining it's all been a big mistake.
Susan tells Karl that Darcy has been approved for day release.
Ramsay Street
Sindi realised that Libby has just given Sky her car, and tells her that it's wrong and she shouldn't accept it. Boyd and Serena thinks it's great that Sky's been given the car, and ask Stingray for his opinion, but he sits on the wall looking blank.
Coffee Shop
Karl asks Susan why she's agreed to let Darcy out on day release, so she tells him, that she feels the need for forgiveness. Karl asks her whether she has made her decision based upon something Tom says. Izzy serves Darcy at the counter, who just stares back at her after discovering who she is. She leaves him standing there, saying that Jane can serve him if there's anything else he would like. Darcy overhears as Karl asks Susan to take a look at the risk she's putting herself into with 'this man'. Susan asks if he's refering to Darcy or Tom.
Ramasy Street
Izzy turns up with some mud cake from the coffee shop, and offers it around much to Sindi's horror of the 'points' it contains. Sindi leaves. Boyd tells Izzy of how Libby gave Sky her car, and asks if she'd like to take them for a drive. Serena is up for it, but Sky isn't so sure. Boyd tells her she'd be the boss, and realising that Sky would be under her control, Izzy agrees.
Hospital Corridoor
Darcy is cleaning the floors, and starts to take a peak at some patients files. Susan turns up and reminds him of his rules of day release, in which he is to have no contact with any patients. She begins to tell him about the layout of the hospital, but he tells her not to worry, so she heads of to uni. Karl arrives and asks Darcy why he chose to return to Erinsborough Hospital. He warns Darcy not to hurt his wife, but Darcy asks which one 'Susan, or the one you replaced her with?'.
Number 28
Tom arrives as Libby is feeding Ben. She tells him that Susan has gone to university and is dropping Darcy of on the way. She claims that it is his fault that Susan gave Darcy day release. Tom asks why she doesn't think Darcy has the right to prove to them that he has changed. Libby says she thought Susan had made the right decision the first time around.
Hospital Room
Darcy is clearing away the meals from the ward, when a patient starts to choke. He calls for a nurse, but Karl arrives to find he has already helped the patient.
Number 28
Libby continues to disagree with Tom about Darcy, claiming that he has encouraged Susan to put her life in danger by giving Darcy day release. Tom tells her that refusing to forgive means that pain is prolonged and that by forgiving you release the pain and are free to live in the present, which is what he wants for Susan. He leaves.
Number 32
After an unsuccessful drive, Sky feels that the car hates her. Izzy tells her that sometimes it takes time, but Sky is adamant and says she will be returning the car to Libby. Izzy leaves. Boyd and Serena tell her that she is crazy to give away a free car, but Sky starts to come up with excuses as to why she doesn't want it anymore. Boyd tries to get Stingray's backup, but he shows no emotion towards it. Serena asks Sky why she has suddenly gone from wanting the car, to not wanting it at all when she realised she couldn't drive it.
Hospital Corridoor
Darcy congratulates Karl on gaining evidence that he has broken the prison rules of his day release. Karl tells him that he can back himself up, but Darcy reminds him there is no grey area in the prision rules and that one word from Karl could end his day release programme.
Number 28
Sky returns the car keys to Libby claiming she can't take it. Sindi tells her she is making the right choice, which Libby is shocked to hear. Libby tells Sky that she want's her to take the car, as it is only holding her back. Sky explains that it's not that she doesn't want the car, more that the car doesn't want her. Libby tells her that it was like that when Drew first bought it, and they both agree that anyone can drive any car, it's just that the V'dub' is special. Libby tells her that she just needs to learn about it's little idiosyncrasies, like the clutch. Sky says she's learnt about the clutch, as Izzy took her out in it. Libby tells her to go and warm it up, so that she can give her a proper lesson in it, before deciding if she want's it. After Sky leaves, Sindi tells Libby that she thinks she's doing the right thing. Libby agrees that it has opened up a path for her, but it's only allowed her to stuff things up with Darren. Sindi says she was right to worry with all the police matters that were going on, and she has Ben to think about. Libby feels that both she and Ben need someone in their lives and the only person stopping it from happening is her, as she can't even trust herself.
Coffee Shop
Karl walks in to discover Susan reading 'The pre-history of cognitive thinking', the book that he reserved in the library. Susan recons that the librarian needs new glasses if she got K Kennedy mixed up with S Kennedy, and tells Karl that she needs it too. They both agree that the course is great, and as Susan gets up to pay, Karl slips the book into his briefcase. Karl jokes that they should've done the course ages ago, as there is so much to learn about the cognitive brain, and wonders where they would've been now if they had done so. Susan takes the book out of Karl's brief-case and heads to the door. Karl mentions that he saw Darcy down at the hospital earlier, and that Tom is right to give people a chance to change. Susan asks what he's done with the real Karl Kennedy. He gives her permission to steal his book, on the grounds that he gets a copy of her essay complete with references.
Ramsay Street
Libby is giving Sky a lesson in the car, and gives her a few hints as to how to get into reverse. After success Libby asks if Sky knows how to drive a manual gear box, and Sky informs her that she learnt to drive on the farm, with a column shift. Libby tells her how the car was Drew's labour of love, and that he's probably glad she's finally getting rid of it. Sky asks why she's not selling it, but Libby says she couldn't just give it to anyone. Libby suggests that they give all the gears a go, and so set off for the highway.
Number 28
Sindi warns Libby of the points she is holding as she walks to the table with a tub of ice cream in one hand and a spoon in the other. Libby doesn't seem to care and it is obvious that something is on her mind. Sindi asks her if it's about the car, or Drew, but Libby confesses that she's annoyed how she blew things with Darren. She tells Sindi that she was able to feel so relaxed around him and just be herself, even in her most daggiest tracksuit. Sindi tells her that she honestly looks like a beachless whale in them, but Libby tells her that Darren said she looked lovely in them, so she obviously meant something him.
Number 24
Sky raves about the car, and that now she has had a lesson with Libby in it, she loves to drive it. Boyd asks her how he now fits in, but Sky says they can't use it until they have their 'P's. Boyd suggests that they don't need their licesece's and that they can use it as their own private room. Sky and Boyd head outside, and Serena begins to follow until she realises what's going on. Stingray asks if she wants to hang out, but they don't seem to find any common ground between them, and she heads to her room.
Number 28
Libby is continuing to pig out on the ice-cream, and Sindi recommends that they do some retail therapy, in the style where instead of buying, they swap their unwanted clothes with other people's unwanted clothes. Susan arrives back and discovers that Libby had had an argument with Tom. Libby tells Susan that he is a nice person, it's just that he's a bit naive sometimes. Susan tells her she had no right to say that to him. Libby says not to defend him, as he has no grip on the adult world. Susan reminds Libby that Tom has changed his life around for her, and so she does have to defend him, plus she wants to.
Number 28
Sindi agrees that Libby did go a bit to far with Tom, but that is her opinion and the way she expresses it fits her starsign. Izzy arrives and tries to appologise for the driving lesson she gave Sky, and that she didn't want Libby to take it the wrong way, but Libby just claims that it's a driving lesson and doesn't take any notice in the appology, so Izzy leaves. Sindi thanks her for what she did, and that it was very sensitive of her. Libby appologises to Sindi for being so mean, and claims she wants a break from being herself. Sindi tells her she needs the 'package'.
Tom's Church
Susan walks in to see Tom sitting in the pews staring at the cross. It appears that he has been crying, but Susan is unable to see. She decides to leave him in peace and leaves.
Number 28
Libby and Sindi are giving themselves a makeover, but it isn't until Sindi realises that the face masks need an hour, that they decide to make the papering session their 'night out'. A quiet Stingray arrives home and collapses on the couch. He tells them that it was obvious that Serena didn't want to be with him, and chose to do her homework instead. Sindi tells him she doesn't deserve her, but he claims he's just trying to be normal.
Hospital Corridor
Darcy overhears as Izzy arrrives for her appointment and asks for them to be at a different hospital from then on. Karl arrives to find her, and asks why she's there, but she tells him that she came to see him. After Karl leaves, Izzy sits down to wait and Darcy walks past, giving her an evil look, saying how alike they are. Izzy asks what she has in common with someone who lied and cheated to their whole family, but Darcy tells her that if she was to think hard enough she would realise.
