Recap
Libby is mad at Darren for tricking her.
Sky is annoyed to find out that Scott was the one who wrote on her art.
Mac offers to loan Jack $1000.
Coffee Shop
Jack is hesitant to borrow the money off Mac because it's quite a lot, but she's insistent. Jack eventually agrees to take it because he says it would get Lyn off his back. Jack wants to take her out for dinner that night, "your money, my shout!" Mac doesn't seem as enthusiastic as Jack.
Pub
Darren and Libby are having a drink and a laugh now that Libby isn't as mad. He asks her out to dinner that night but she's being coy. Darren kisses her. "Was that a yes?" Libby composes herself. "I'll call."
The scene cuts between the Hoylands' and the Pub
Libby is having a girly chat with Steph. She asks Lib if she's going to call Darren. Lib says she isn't.
Darren is staring at his mobile. Lou says it'll burst into flames if he keeps doing that. Darren tells Lou that he and Libby shared a moment before.
Lib says that Darren's the best kisser, but it would be weird to venture back on old territory. "There's a reason it didn't work out the first time."
"The only reason it didn't work is because we were kids and I seriously stuffed up." He adds that he's not the same person he was, and that's why it's going to work this time.
"It'll never work," Lib sighs. She tells Steph that he cheated on her, but Steph reminds her it was seven years ago. Lib says that he was also in jail.
STEPH: "Yeah well that was before he went out with you anyway."
LIB: "Just because you've got a thing for jailbirds!"
STEPH: "Hey! Shut up!"
"I love her," says Darren.
Steph calls Lib out because she's blushing.
"I'm not going to blow this, Lou. I can't." Darren's mobile rings. The caller ID says 'Libby'.
Bishops'
Sky is all dressed up for her interview with Libby. Serena's annoyed at her because she's not going to give Stingray any credit.
SKY: "Okay, hi! I'm the girl who got a whole lot of money to make art, and got my cousin's boyfriend to do it. Yeah, cool."
Stingray walks in the back door in time to hear Sky's tirade. She tells him she's sorry for freaking out before, but she didn't ask him to write on her work. Serena says Sky's just worried that she'd have to share the art money. Stingray pipes up and says he doesn't "give a freckle", Sky can do what she wants. But he gets a sneaky look on his face when their backs are turned.
Later that night...
Stingray is teaching Serena how to play pool using fruit on the kitchen table, but she shushes him and says she's trying to hear Libby and Sky in the next room.
Libby asks Sky about the origins of 'BYO meaning' that was written on the boxes. Sky rambles on with some airy-fairy art talk and basically takes all the credit herself. Libby says Sky should be very proud of herself. Serena and Stingray make their presence known and Sky looks guilty.
Restaurant
Libby is recalling the first meal her and Darren ever had together, and the meal they ate on Libby's 15th while they make their way to their table. They pass Jack and Mac at another table on the way. Darren tells her that's one weird talent.
DARREN: "I can't even remember what I have for breakfast most mornings!"
LIBBY: "Oh, ah, that would be toast, no butter, and heaps of raspberry jam. At least that's what you used to have."
Darren looks impressed.
Jack and Mac are making uncomfortable small talk. He signals the waiter to get some more bread.
Darren and Libby make a toast "to the present".
Jack and Mac make a toast "to good times". Jack freaks out because he didn't order the wine that Mac likes the most but she reassures him it's fine.
Susan's
Stingray is playing golf in the house and almost breaking things when there's a knock at the door. Sky's come over to say thank you to him for making her art work better. Stingray is pretending to act all mopey over it to make her feel bad. She looks remorseful and doesn't see the sly grin on his face.
Restaurant bathroom
Libby starts chatting to Mac saying that she knows Jack. She observes that he looks a little out of his territory there, and Mac admits they have more fun clubbing. She says she thinks he's good fun though.
Jack and Darren are also having a chat in the men's room. Jack says things are different tonight because he and Mac are used to clubbing and yelling over music. Darren says he'll get used to it.
Mac asks Lib who she's out with and Lib says "just an old friend". Mac slyly says that it looked more than that from where she was sitting and says for her to have a good night.
Back at Jack's table he suggests they go out clubbing much to Mac's relief.
Susan's
Darren has walked Libby to the door. She invites him in for coffee and chocolate rum balls but he says he better push off. He kisses her and leaves. Libby's all a flutter.
Park somewhere
Stu and Mac are on a lunch break. He's asking her about the "hot date" she had last night. "Started tense, ended better," she says. Mac asks if Stu's seeing someone. He says he isn't and it's a "long story". Mac gets a smile on her face. "Spill!"
Susan's
Sky's come over to ask Libby to stop the story. She admits to her that it was Stingray who came up with the 'BYO meaning' part. Stingray comes out of his room and Libby says that he'll be getting all the credit now. He doesn't look as happy as he thought.
Susan's
Libby asks Sky if she wants her to write the article on how she ripped off the system, or how she ripped off a friend (by the look on her face she's only half-serious). Stingray stops her though and says he doesn't want any credit. Art is just something he likes to do. Sky thanks him for not wanting to expose her scam.
STINGRAY: "No, don't thank me. You've just got to live with the fact that before I came along your work was foccaciaed!"
Road somewhere
Stu and Mac have pulled a car over. Mac is laughing at what Stu has just told her about his life, calling him a "serial fiancé". They walk up to the car to reveal the driver as Sky (in the car with Harold). She's not happy.
Coffee Shop
Libby and Steph are discussing how the date went last night. Steph is surprised to hear that they only kissed then Darren went home.
LIBBY: "It's funny. He spent half the night telling me how much he's changed, and the only evidence of that was at the front door. I tell you what, he didn't have that kind of self-control a few years ago."
Steph says she has to get out there at some point, but Libby says he broke her heart. "No pain no gain," Steph wisely replies.
Road somewhere
Constable Parker is laying down the law on Sky, saying that she didn't indicate in enough time when she turned the corner. Sky and Harold can't believe it. Stu isn't lenient until Mac takes him aside and tells him to just give them a warning. "Sometimes we have to use our discretion." Stu informs them of the warning.
STU: "Look Sky, take another look at your road rules and in the future just drive with more care."
SKY: "And in the future spend your time looking for real criminals, hmm?"
Pub
Jack and Stu are playing darts in the pub. Jack is telling Stu all about his new chicky babe and how amazing she is. Stu also admits to Jackers that he has a bit of a crush on his boss at work, but won't do anything about it because it's just not the done thing to date someone at work.
STU: "Anyway, I think she's seeing someone else."
JACK: "Ah, it's probably some dropkick."
He says that Stu should go for it and they could double date. Mac meanwhile is lurking in the background of the pub, not believing her eyes. Her boyfriend and her work partner are talking to one another! Her secret could very well be exposed if they saw her! Dum, da dum dum...
