Number 32
Max asks Izzy what is going on between her and Gus, as he seemed quiet agitated about it. Izzy denies being panicky when she discovered Max was going to see Gus. She claims that she was just looking out for him, and that Steph always sees her in a bad light as 'the home wrecker'. Overhearing Steph explains that she did it out of concern for her.
Lou's Place
Susan and Tom tell Lyn about the trip to the country for the amnesty conference. Lyn seems concerned that they are going to be spending so much time together. Tom and Susan start to describe the topics of the conference to Lyn, and it is clear that they share many views. Tom coughs, and Susan mentions that he shouldn't be travelling in his state, as he is clearly coming down with something, but he says it's important to show the church what he believes in. Karl arrives; Susan introduces him to Tom, who praises him on being the local GP. Karl and Lyn go to the bar where Karl mentions that Susan and Tom are very close, Lyn agrees looking concerned.
Number 32
Steph and Izzy end up arguing over Gus. Izzy starts taking it too much to heart, claiming that they don't believe that she and Karl should be together. Max tries to break it up, telling Izzy that it is true that Karl has been good to her as he guessed Gus's motives long before they did. She asks them to forget about Gus and move on, but Max mentions that he's going to see him again before he leaves. Izzy tells them she's going to go and pack, because she doesn't want to stay anywhere she's not wanted. Steph tells Max she only told him like it was, but Max worries that he hasn't been supportive enough. Steph says he's not to blame as it's Izzy who's the 'Drama Queen'.
Number 26
Lyn arrives home to find Jack has just got Ozzy off to sleep. He tells her not to wake him as it's taken him so long to get him to sleep, and he's already late for clubbing. Lyn asks how he does it, but he just tells her that he works hard, so he needs time to chill, and rushes out the door.
Psychiatric Hospital
Izzy visits Gus at the hospital, where he tells her he is going to go back to his family in Perth to get his life back together so that they can become a family. Izzy tells him that he's going to be a great dad, but not with her. He seems confused and asks what's going on. Izzy tells him that it should be her in the hospital as she's lied to so many people. She tells him that when they got serious, she got scared. He tells her that she said she loved him, but she says she said the same thing to two other guys at the same time. She tells him that although he wants it, he is not the father to her child and that he will find someone else who will make him happy. She tells him that if she wants to hurt her then he should tell Max as it will hurt him, but it will hurt her more. He says that he won't mention it to Max as he doesn't deserve it and neither does she.
Number 26
Lyn and Oscar walk in on Jack who is asleep at the kitchen table. He jumps awake to realise the coffee he poured as gone cold. Lyn tells him to go back to bed. Jack says he'll be fine and ready for work, and that he managed to score a few phone numbers during the night. Lyn says he's got another admirer too and hands him a letter addressed to "The Hottie of Making Mansions". He opens it and it reads "Dear Hottie of Making Mansions. I really want to meet you, get to know you, the real you, how about Lou's Place. I finish at lunchtime today, I'll be wearing red xxx." Lyn asks if he's going to go and meet her, but he claims he's not that desperate.
Lou's Place
Jack walks into the pub, wearing a large dose of aftershave. Lou comments on the smell, telling him you're supposed to dab it on not drown in it, and asks if he has a hot date. On seeing a young lady sitting in a red top, Jack replies that he has and goes over to see her. However he is interrupted on the way by a man in a red top who asks if he is Jack Scully. He introduces himself as Troy, and after establishing that he was part of 'Life Mechanics', Jack pushes on past him, to introduce himself to the lady. Jack tells the lady that he is 'there in the flesh' but she show no interest and walks off. Troy turns around and tells Jack that it was him who wrote the letter and that he had hoped it would be Lyn who turned up. Disgusted, Jack tells him that his mother is happily married, as Lou watches on in amusement.
Karl's Flat
Karl welcomes Izzy in, who tells her that things at home are a bit tense. She tells him that Steph still feels strongly about their relationship, but that Max is slowly coming around to it. Karl tries to reassure her that as long as they are sure, there should be nothing to worry about. Izzy tells him that she is sure, and that she wishes that she could move in with him. Karl reminds her that they weren't going to rush, but sees no reason as to why they should wait. She squeals in excitement.
Amnesty Camp
Tom runs through the heavy rain after giving up on the umbrella, and welcomes Susan to 'camp damp'. Susan is trying to get a mobile reception, but Tom tells her not to bother and they head inside. Tom informs her that the rain has flooded the area around the conference as well as cutting off one of the main roads to the area and that it looks like the conference won't be going ahead. Tom's cough appears to be getting worse, so Susan offers to make him a warm drink, but he says there is no time as the roof of the conference building is falling in with all the rain. She tells him that she'll come with him, and puts on her coat.
Psychiatric Hospital
Max tries to find out from Gus what happened between him and Izzy, but he doesn't say anything, other than he's going to go to Perth. Max asks if she ended things between them, and Gus confesses that it's over. He asks Max to promise to take care of her for him, as she's a 'mixed up girl, but she means well'. He tells Max that his family means a lot to her. Max agrees.
Number 26
Lyn is singing nursery rhymes to Oscar, when Jack arrives home. She asks him how the date with the 'hottie' went, and Jack tells her that it was a bloke, but that he wasn't there to see him. Lyn looks confused, but when Jack tells her that it was her he was expecting to meet, she starts to get interested and inquires as to what he was like. Jack walks off.
Amnesty Camp
Susan and Tom arrive back at the cottage drenched to the bone. Tom's cough continues to get worse, and Susan encourages him to stay and rest. After realising that he is very weak, Tom resigns and agrees to have a quick rest in the bed.
Number 32
Max tells Steph that Gus seemed to be a lot better mentally, and that he was looking forward to being moved to Perth the next day. We hear thunder. Steph leaves to put the kettle on. He tells Izzy that it was clear she'd broken another heart. She inquires into what Gus said, but seems relieved to hear that he only asked Max to look out for him as he cares. Steph returns to ask whether they want tea or coffee, but Izzy tells her not to bother as she's going to move into Karl's so that she can get 'out of their hair'. She goes to pack an overnight bag. Max tells Steph to 'let it ride' and that it may even work out.
Amnesty Camp
Tom continues to get worse and shakes. Susan returns back after failing to get through to a doctor. She realises that he is very hot and goes to get a flannel. She tells him that all men become little boys when they are ill. He apologises for being such bad company, but she tells him to concentrate on resting.
Karl and Izzy's Flat
Karl and Izzy arrive indoors from the rain, and he welcomes her home, giving her her own front door key.
Amnesty Camp
Tom's fever continues, he struggles to take his t-shirt off, so Susan helps him, before he falls asleep again.
Karl and Izzy's Flat
Karl pampers Izzy after she comes out of the shower.
Amnesty Camp
Susan overhears Tom confessing to being confused between the church and 'her'. She tries to comfort him, but he unconsciously confesses to love her.
