Recap
- Harold being sarcastic to David and Lil
- Izzy telling Lyn that she'll serve her in the shop when she's good and ready.
Coffee Shop
Harold is shutting up shop when Sindi comes in asking for some penne, she'd been too busy with the show to eat that day. "I can't be expected to feed you just because you're too stupid to organize yourself." Sindi gets offended and tells him he's rude and she misses the nicer Harold. This strikes a chord with Harold and he offers to heat some penne up for her.
Scullys
Steph and Gino are over visiting Lyn and Jack. They're all congratulating Steph on buying number 32. Steph says they should celebrate by having a Scully/Hoyland dinner. Jack and Lyn aren't too keen at all, but say they'll come when they see that Steph is disappointed. Steph and Jack walk out and Gino congratulates Lyn on her effort, "I know how much you hate that Isabelle woman!"
Coffee Shop
Harold is sticking post-it-notes behind the counter reminding him to "Smile", "Be nice" and "Be friendly". He's perfectly nice to Jack, Gino, Stu and Max when they all come in and order things. Gino says to Max that it's great that his family and the Scullys are having dinner together - Max obviously has no idea what's going on.
Cuts between the Hoylands and the Pub
Steph apologises to Max, she didn't want to tell him because she was scared to. Max asks if she's forgotten about the "suburban cabbage" incident (what Izzy labeled Lyn and Susan). Steph just wants to try and make things better. Max gives in and agrees to try and bring Izzy around to the idea.
Coffee Shop
Lyn finds out from Harold that Izzy has the whole day off from work. Max comes in and he and Lyn have a forcefully cheerful conversation. They talk about the Izzy issue though and Lyn tells him that it's nothing personal, she's just defending Susan. Max says he knows, but when she attacks Izzy, she's attacking him too. They agree to try and forget about it all for Steph's sake.
Building Site
Joe's really impressed that Jack knows a lot about building plans. He asks a co-worker, Jim, to teach "bugalugs" how to render properly.
Pub
Max is interviewing applicants for the pub job. Connor is worried. Max says that if he could magically make things go away and hire Connor, he would.
Building Site
Jim starts to teach Jack how to render while Joe ducks home to check on the "TV cowboys".
Coffee Shop
Stu and Connor are eating lunch when Sindi barges in and says she thought they were meeting at Grease Monkeys. Stu and Connor try to wriggle their way out of being cameramen, they say that they thought it was a one time only deal. Toadie walks in and says to Sindi to let the boys off the hook and stop trying to run everybody's lives. Sindi looks a little shocked.
Building Site
Jim has rendered the whole wall while Jack has sat and watched. He jumps up though when Joe gets back and thinks they've both done the job. Joe's proud of Jack.
Number 30
Connor wonders if Toadie was tense around Sindi, and Stu says that Sindi just reminds Toadie of when he and Dee broke up. Connor gets mail from his mum - she's sent them their family's beer recipe. He tells Stu it's the best beer ever and only he knows the secret ingredient that makes it taste so good. Stu tells him he's just found his special talent to keep his job at the pub.
Pub
Toadie, Connor and Stu are celebrating Connor's talent. Max says all the beer he tasted in Dublin was rubbish. "Don't go there girlfriend!" says Connor. Max says if Connor's beer is any good he'll definitely re-submit his application to immigration. Izzy pops in for a chat with Max and they go to the office.
Sindi comes in having an argument with her boyfriend on her mobile. She gets annoyed when she sees Toadie and the boys sniggering at her. Sindi serves it to Toadie by saying she's over him. "I hoped we could be friends but obviously I was wrong."
Pub Office
Izzy agrees to come to dinner. Max says Lyn will forgive and forget. Izzy says she can too, but if Lyn doesn't, she's not going to hold back. Max plasters on a smile.
Scullys
Jack rings Lyn at the Hoylands to tell her that Joe can't come because he's fixing the plumbing at Gino's. Sindi drops by to tape some extra footage of the lounge room before it's renovated. Jack leaves her to it and she somehow manages to get her foot stuck in the wall when she accidentally kicks a hole in it. She gets her mobile and calls Toadie for help.
Hoylands
Jack, Lyn, Steph and Max are sitting, waiting for Izzy. Max and Steph try to break the tension by saying they're having cabbage rolls as an entrée. "Suburban cabbage rolls are they?" says Lyn.
Scullys
Toadie comes to help Sindi and tries to pull her out of the wall in a hug-hold. That doesn't work so he hammers another hole above where her foot is stuck, then bumps her out the way by hitting her butt with his. She doesn't see the funny side until Toadie says, "Don't worry, Valda's head will take the attention off it!" (Meaning the lovely Valda pic adorning the Scully wall).
Hoylands
Izzy breezes in but says she's not staying, Gus is waiting outside for her to take her on a date. She just came to grab her jacket and apologise in person. She rushes out with a smug look on her face. Lyn says for the rest of them to relax, "I actually really love cabbage, it's a very underrated vegetable!" They all laugh.
Number 30
Toadie has another dream about Dee, only this time when she turns around it's Sindi. Toadie wakes up with a start.
