Recap
- Lou giving Stu a warning about fixing the cars
- Trixie getting angry with Lou in the pub
- Serena telling David that her and Chris have something special, while Chris puts pictures of her on the net
Outside Bishops
David tells Serena she's probably mixing up love with flattery. Serena disagrees and says that Chris is genuine, and she hasn't been forced to do anything. We find out that Serena is turning sixteen next week.
Bishops - Morning
David tries to make conversation with Harold but he's too busy concentrating on other things. David suggests things Harold can do around the house, but Harold informs him that he's going back to work much to David's astonishment. Izzy arrives to take Harold to work, they're happy to see each other.
Coffee Shop
Harold and Izzy have a laugh about the hot dog fiasco. Harold tries to do the float on the till but can't remember how, so he swaps with Izzy and does the orders instead. A customer comes up to order but Harold gets annoyed at him and says he'll serve him when he's not busy. Izzy looks worried.
Number 30
Stu and Connor are eating brekkie (chocolate éclairs of all things) and Connor says he got an e-mail from Nina. Stu drops his éclair on the floor and Connor says that Lou wouldn't be too happy, but Stu doesn't care. Connor does a funny impersonation of Lou. "Hey, watch it sunshine, that's my carpet you're ruining. If you're not careful I'll send my good lady wife around to do her one woman rendition of Cats, meow!" Stu answers a knock at the door. It's a cop wanting a word about the cars out front.
Coffee Shop
Izzy watches Harold make a sandwich. He's very awkward, and when he drops half of it on the floor, he just kicks it under the counter like no one will notice. Izzy can't believe it.
Number 30
The policeman, Snr. Const. Gary Hume, is warning Stu about his mechanics business. Stu gets annoyed because he knows that Lou is behind the complaint and thinks that the cop has better things to do. Before the cop can get too annoyed, Connor intervenes and says that Stu's just angry because it might hinder his chances in joining the force. Stu is about to say it's not true when Gary changes his tune and hands Stu a business card saying that they can chat about the cars and the force over a beer - Stu's shout.
Bishops
Serena says she's going to her friend Alexandra's, but Lil won't allow it. David tries to compromise but Lil isn't open to it. She sends Serena to her room so her and David can talk. David says he doesn't want to be so overprotective but Lil says that she wants Serena to know that if she breaks the rules she gets punished. David reminds her that she was the same with her mum, but Lil says it's different now she knows what it's like. "I'm not going to sit here and watch my daughter throw her life away."
Number 30
Stu doesn't want to meet with Gary but he doesn't see how he can get out of it. If he doesn't go, Gary will be mad, if he does go he'll have to tell him that he lied and he could end up arrested. Connor says prison wouldn't be too bad, it's tidy "and you'd get a decent shot at a long-term relationship!" Connor goes to work and says that Stu should show up.
Pub
Lou has a man named Ted in to evaluate how much the pub is worth. Connor arrives and sees Ted inspect the back. He asks if Lou's found a buyer for the padded underwear. Ted's also scheduled to evaluate Lou's other properties that afternoon.
Coffee Shop
Izzy tells Harold that Mavis Gordon is on the phone for him from the Salvo's. Harold grumpily says that he'll call her back. Izzy apologises to Mavis and looks concerned.
Chris' Photography Studio
Serena wonders why Chris has such a special interest in her when another model could do just as well. Chris spins a story about how she's got "spirit" and "a sense of adventure". He figures out that her parents have put doubts in her mind, and tells her that when he's alone with her it's like the rest of the world doesn't exist. Serena loves the thought of that and they kiss.
Lou's
Trixie gets worried when Ted comes around to evaluate the house. Lou didn't tell her about it, and she gets the idea in her head that Lou's got money problems.
Coffee Shop
The phone is ringing right next to Harold but he doesn't move. Izzy rushes over to answer and tells him that it's Mavis again. Harold gets cranky at Mavis on the phone, then surprises her and Izzy by saying that he quits the Salvation Army.
Pub
Stu's getting tired if hearing stories about filing from Gary and says that he's given it some thought and he doesn't think the police force is his cup of tea. Gary starts to tell a story about how women react when they see the uniform, but then says that Stuart probably isn't interested. Stu's all ears now.
Bishops
Izzy brings Harold home and he goes for a lie down. David asks her how he was and she says fine, unconvincingly. David asks her for the truth and she tells him that "Harry has lost his Harry-ness." David thinks she means the slurred speech and the loss of movement, but Izzy says he quit the Salvo's today and that it's like a different man came back from the hospital.
Pub
Stu and Gary are having a good old chatting now. Lou sees them and wonders why Stu's in such a good mood seeing as he got a visit from the police that morning. Connor gleefully informs him that the guy Stu is having a drink with is the cop.
Stu wonders how Gary became a cop and Gary says that he needed a bit of direction in his life. He tells Stu that heaps of people join the force after a big life shift. Stu says he knows what he's talking about.
Coffee Shop
Serena and Lil are in there for lunch talking about plans for Serena's birthday when Chris walks in. Serena immediately becomes uncomfortable at the thought of Lil meeting him and tries to leave but Lil figures out what the problem is and who the guy is. She walks up to Chris after protests from Serena and slaps him across the face, telling him to stay away from her daughter or there'll be consequences. Lil and Serena leave.
