Recap
- Lil surprises David with selling her stocks, so she could buy a share in Lou's horse
- Trixie admitting to Lou that her and Nick were never married. Lou begs her to tell Nina.
Serena informs Harold and Lil that her school is going to a field trip to Paris. Lil looks excited and tells her it will be a great experience to see European culture first hand. Harold says that he has been there with Paul and he had a great time. David then comes home and Serena immediately springs the trip on him. He looks frustrated and asks Serena whether they can talk later. Lil then tells David that she wants to do a course at Uni. and David notices the cost of it. He points it out to her, and she declares that she'll get a job after she has taken it, so it will pay for itself. David explodes, saying that the only reason he feels he is here is to answer every call from his family. He stalks off calling behind him that he is not a bank; leaving all three of them shell-shocked.
Trixie enters Lou's office distraught and Lou asks her whether she told Nina. She nods. He asks her to sit down and inquires how it went. Trixie shakes her head and exclaims 'she threw a plate at me- and called me a filthy liar amongst other things'. Lou comforts her, but Trixie sighs and mutters that she told him, just like he wanted her to. Lou reminds her that he can wait for her, for as long as it takes and she smiles. Trixie tells him that she doesn't want to wait and declares that she is falling in love with him. Connor stands at the door shocked, and watches Lou confess to Trixie that he has loved her ever since she walked into the pub for the first time. They hug each other and Connor smiles to himself.
Harold comes in to find Lil cooking. He looks around bewildered and exclaims that she must have been cooking since dawn. She sighs and admitted that she wanted to do something nice for David. Harold says to her that if anyone should apologize it should be David for the way he acted last night. Lil then tells him it was their anniversary today, and David barely spoke to her. She mutters that he has been so angry and forgetful recently, and Harold looks pensive. Sky and Serena come out of their room and Lil asks them to get the milk for her. When the two girls close the door behind them Serena warns Sky that she needs to be in her parents good books, so not to mention the bar thing to her mum- because she owes her. Sky informs her that it was Boyd who told and she was innocent, and that Serena needs to face the music and stop living in fear.
Taj enters the Coffee Shop and says that he now knows why Connor comes here every morning- because there are never any food in the cupboards. Connor sighs, and Taj notices something is the matter and asks what's wrong. He confesses to Taj that Nina has just found out that she is illegitimate because her parents were never married, and to top it all off Lou and Trixie are an item. Taj shrugs and tells him that Lou is a great guy and he deserves it. Connor then says that he saw them kissing, and they both shudder and make faces.
Sky enters the Hoylands' and notices Boyd watching the cricket. She expresses that it is a sexist game and he turns it off, saying that Max was watching it. She rolls her eyes, but then tells Boyd what she's got planned for the formal planning- something to really get up Erin's nose.
Lil and Serena approach David's shop with Lil giving Serena a lecture about not wanting everything and try not to stretch her dad's credit card that much. They then notice the, for lease sign and check if is the right address. Reading the 'Morgan and Bishop' on the door they realize it is and look confused. Serena suggests that they might have moved, but Lil shakes her head and says if something happened to the business he would have told her- or would he?
David is on the phone to Tim reassuring him that he did send all the faxes he required. He then hangs up and his mobile rings again. Lil asks him where he is and he answers he is at work. She then tells him that her and Serena are there now and want to know where he really is. David looks shocked and fakes static saying that he can no longer hear them and hangs up. The people at the Coffee Shop give him a strange look.
At the formal committee Erin is telling everyone the conditions of the formal. She expresses that it has been decided that it will be a formal occasion and Sky questions that. She declares that people should wear what they want to wear and that they shouldn't restrict dress in a social event. Erin looks pained and asks to vote on the matter. Sky wins the vote- only by the vote of Boyd and declares that that motion- people couldn't care less what they wear is carried.
Back at the Scullys, Joe is furious at Lyn for buying no-name biscuits. Lyn sighs and tell him if she would have put them in the biscuit tin he wouldn't have known. Joe looks ruffled, however exclaims that he would have. Lyn shakes her head, nursing Oscar and asks him to take a leaf out of his son's book and be happy. They both fuss over Oscar.
The formal committee decided to have a DJ playing the top 40, and once again Sky queries that. Taj groans and asks her why she questions everything and that Top 40 has a bigger fan base. They take another vote and due to Boyd who half heartily puts up his hand, Sky wins again- making them hire another DJ. Erin looks at Boyd and says that she remembers that he once had a mind of his own, and now if Sky told him to bungee-jump without a rope he would. Boyd insists he wouldn't and Taj shrugs, and tells him that he doesn't play sport anymore, and he was quite good at it too. Sky ends the conversation saying that Boyd is his own person, and can decide what he likes.
Taj and Connor are back at the pub and Taj tells him about the disastrous formal meeting, and how Sky won every battle. Connor laughs and jokes that Sky wears the trousers in their relationship and that something must be in the water- because the girls in Erinsborough at the moment have their claws out. The phone rings and Connor realizes it's Nina. Lou and Trixie are discussing where they are going to go out for dinner. Lou seems a bit hesitant, but she reminds him that Nina should see them getting on with their lives, and that cheers Lou up. He suggests an Italian restaurant and Trixie agrees, but they need to be weary of nuts because Nina is allergic. Connor gets off the phone to Nina and head over to Trixie and Lou. He tells them that Nina just rang and asked to give Trixie a message. She looks confused and asks why Nina didn't ring on her mobile- and Connor interrupts passing on that Nina didn't want to speak to Trixie and that she won't see her tonight or any other night, because she is moving back in with her father. Trixie looks devastated and puts her face in her hands and mutters 'oh Ninie.'
Sky gives Boyd a peanut butter and honey sandwich and asks him to taste it. He is hesitant and tells her that he doesn't like peanut butter, but when Sky tries to take it back offers to try it again. Sky then asks whether he was only supporting her because he was afraid of her reaction, and Boyd denies it. She tells him that if we wanted to play sport and do anything else, she really wouldn't mind, but Boyd insists that skating is enough. She smiles and asks him how he likes the sandwich, and he tells her it's great; however he takes very small bites.
Joe is watching the cricket when Oscar starts to cry. He rocks the crib, but turns the volume up louder which makes him cry even more. Lyn comes in and asks what's the matter, and Joe tells her that he wants to watch the cricket. She changes the channel to Bold and the Beautiful and he stops crying. Joe looks bewildered and turns it back onto the cricket, which starts Oscar up again. Lyn smiles and turns it back onto the soap, and to Joe's horror stops crying. Lyn declares that there is another soap fan in the family and Joe looks horrified and says 'over my dead body!'
Lil raves about David to Serena until he comes home. Serena gets straight to the point and asks where he was today. David kneels down and tells her that they moved the business temporarily because there was some inconvenience. Serena looks disappointed and says that she thought he was some secret agent. David laughs loudly and apologizes for that not being the case. Serena goes to her room leaving Lil and David. He asks her how her day was and she shrugs and said that it could be better. She then tells David about her tea reading about somebody lying and then notices his uneasy face. She glares and asks him whether it is him. David turns her back on her and tells her not to be silly but she looks at him sharply and asks her to tell her now. He sighs and says quietly that the business it over. Lil looks surprised and asks him to tell the truth about everything.
Joe is trying to convert Oscar from soaps to cricket and explains to him in simple terms how the game is played. Lyn calls out that dinner is ready and is amused to watch Joe trying to persuade Oscar to get into cricket. He tells him that cricket has better drama, better tension and better acting. Lyn rolls her eyes and reminds him that dinner is on the table.
Lil looks furious and demands that Morgan is brought to justice David shakes his head sadly and says to her that he has left the country with all their money. She then exclaims how deceiving he is for faking to go to work. He tells her that he is working with Toadie now because he went to him for legal advice and a job opened up there. She then asks about the car and house and he tells the truth about the car being repossessed and the house will no longer go through. She shakes her head and calls him a liar which makes Serena come out of her room. Lil calls her a fool and shouts 'You lost our money.' Serena looks confused and asks if it is really true.
