- Harold punishing Sky for being caught sneaking out
- Izzy and Jack's getaway
Country
Izzy and Jack walk into their room. Jack looks around excitedly asking Izzy if they should go for a bushwalk , order room service, cable TV. Izzy looks over at the bed. Jack smiles. Izzy and Jack lie on the bed and start kissing.
Through the window we can see Karl running past the cabin that Izzy and Jack are in. He then runs out of some bushes somewhere else and stops. It looks like he's having a bit difficulty running. He looks up and sees the tavern, beckoning him in for just one little drink. At first he is determined to not go in, takes a few steps, but then stops again, looks at his watch and carefully walks across the dirt road. Back in the cabin Izzy & jack are lying in bed. Jack says it's nice and maybe they should go out and get some lunch, maybe a pie as the country bakery's are the best or go to the Pub for a drink. Izzy says she's not hungry and would rather stay in bed. Jack says he thought the whole idea of them getting away was to do things as a couple. Izzy suggest she go into town to get food and a bottle of wine and tells Jack to stay in the cabin and work out how to use the cable TV.
Bishops
Boyd comes over. Sky says she missed him and asks how camp was. Boyd asks her if she really wants to know. She was no and admits she was just being polite. Sky notices Boyd is wearing his surf clothing again. Boyd says that op-shop clothing doesn't really work at camp. Sky says op-shop clothing works everywhere. Boyd asks Sky if she wants to see a movie tonight. Sky says she would but she's grounded again. She tells Boyd about how she and Serena went out to a bar but she didn't want to go, she got chased by a psycho and says it was scary. Then she got caught sneeking back in. She got grounded while Serena got away with it. Boyd says just because they can't go out doesn't mean they can't have fun here. They kiss and Sky says she kind of missed him. Boyd says he kind of missed her too. Harold comes in and interrupts reminding Sky she has to accompany him to the Salvation Army charity sale this afternoon.
Oak Tree Tavern
Karl is drinking a glass of red and reading the paper. He sees Izzy walk in and puts the paper up to hide his face but she's seen him and comes over and pulls the paper down.
IZZY: Karl, fancy running into you.
KARL: Yeah. What are the chances?
Izzy picks up his glass of wine saying she thought Harold said he was teetotal. She leans over and says "So, who's a naughty boy then?"
Community Hall - Charity Sale
Sky thanks Boyd for coming to help. Boyd says he didn't have a choice and reminds her that she told him he was coming. Harold tells them to keep working. Boyd tells Sky that Serena should be here as well and asks Sky where she is today. Sky says Serena is doing what she's always doing...shopping and it was just easier for her to take the rap as she was already in Harold's bad books over her letter to Susan. Sky notices Mr. Doggy Man standing in the corner. Boyd says he's crazy, Sky says he's eccentric. Harold overhears and says his name is Walter Mouse and he's a very dedicated fundraiser. Sky says it's the best name she's ever heard and she wants to go over to talk to him. Boyd objects but Sky drags him along.
Oak Tree Tavern
Karl asks Izzy what is wrong with a quiet drink. Izzy says nothing she was just surprised as Harold was adamant he didn't drink anymore. Karl mobile rings and it's Susan wanting to know where he is. He tells her at Café. Izzy listens and smiles to herself because she knows she's got the upper hand. Karl tells Susan he's leaving now and gets up to pay his bill. Jack then runs in and Izzy tries to convince him to leave before Karl spots him. Karl is still looking sullenly at the bar, but looks back to see Jack running out and Sulky, Karl is no longer. He goes over to Izzy and says "So, who's the naughty girl then?"
Karl asks Izzy how long she's had a thing for young boys. He tells her it is a bit sad dating someone who could almost be her son. Izzy tells Karl she's not even 30. He apologies but continues with various other cracks. Like a double wedding after figuring out that Izzy is going out with "your brother's girlfriend's brother. She tells him it's none of his business, he agrees. Consenting adults can do whatever they want like having a drink or having an affair.
IZZY: So you want to make a deal?
KARL: (swallows wine) Goodness you make it so sordid saying it like that.
IZZY: Well here you are drinking while your wife thinks you're of jogging. Nothing sordid at all.
She gives him a packet of mint balls saying he wouldn't want Susan to smell his boozy breath and she gets up to leave.
KARL: Izzy...
IZZY: My lips are sealed if yours are.
Community Hall
Sky tells Mr Mouse that all the knitting he's done is incredible. (Walter Mouse knits dog clothing). He goes to serve a customer. Sky tells Boyd Mr Mouse is amazing. Boyd says he's a nut and knits ugly dog clothes. Sky tells Boyd he just doesn't get it, he's a genuine eccentric and it takes a lot of courage. Harold tells Sky & Boyd that they are not here to socialize and he needs them to take over the stall as he has to go to the coffee shop.
Country - Outside Karl & Susan's cabin
Karl walks up to the drive way and sees Susan putting the bags in the car, he starts jogging and Susan asks him where he's been, he tells her he got caught up. She then gives him the keys because she's got a headache, Karl tries to sway her, but in the end he ends up driving.
Inside Jack & Izzy's cabin
Izzy is packing. Jack says he can't see what the problem is. Izzy says Karl knows and no one was suppose to. Jack says it's time to get over it and people should know as they aren't doing anything wrong. Izzy says his parent's won't see it like that or Max or Steph. Jack says they are good together. Izzy tells him there is no 'we' , there never was and there never will be. She says it was convenient for both of them, they had fun but now it has to end and he's not to tell anyone. Jack tells her it's just because she's afraid of commitment and she needs to grow up. Izzy tells Jack that she is a woman and he is a very excitable schoolboy. She asks him if he wants a life back to town. Jack says no he'll find his own way. Izzy leaves.
Road
As they're rolling down the street, Karl notices the police, he gets all tense and I guess that's what woke Susan up. There's a shot of Audrey in the long grass. She sees their car and starts to chase it. The police officer waves them through and Susan picks up on Karl's tension. He tells her he was nervous because of the memory of the previous time. Audrey is still chasing their car.
Scullys
Jack walks into the kitchen and puts his bag down. Lyn asks him if he wants her to make him a banana and honey sandwich. Jack makes a comment about not being a lid anymore. Lyn says he isn't and Joe told her about Jack going away with a mystery woman. She says they didn't expect him back for a few days. Jack says there was a change of plans. Lyn tells Jack he can always talk to her and it might help to have an older woman's perspective as she can vaguely remember what dating was like. Lyn tells him they are just concerned, he skips school to go to the country and they just want to help him not judge him. Jack says he knows and he's just trying to sort out some stuff in his head. He confides in Lyn that he's a little lost ever since he and Nina broke up and he says he was stupid.
Community Hall
Mr Mouse says he's leaving but tells Sky and Boyd he enjoyed their chat. He gives Sky a gift. It's a T-shirt with little paw prints on it and the slogan "Little Dawgs have big hearts". Sky tells Boyd Mr Mouse is the sweetest man ever. Harold says he's back from the coffee shop as Isabelle turned up. He said he had a word with the organisers who told him that Sky and Boyd worked really hard. Boyd asks Harold if Sky can go to the movies to be let off for good behaviour. Harold says no the grounding stands. Harold walks off and Boyd tells Sky it's so unfair and it was Serena's fault. Harold overhears and asks what Serena has to do with this. Boyd confesses all to Harold that it was Serena who went out and Sky was there to protect her. Harold asks if it true. Sky tries to quieten Boyd but Boyd nods.
Coffee Shop
Connor is on the phone to Nina asking her why she is still at her dads and he is going to her place to make them dinner. Lyn and Susan are having coffee. Susan and Lyn talk about Steph turning Max down and Lyn gets all teary eyed. Susan tells her she thinks Max and Steph will get married eventually. Lyn then asks about the trip to the country. Susan tells her about it and Izzy who has just put coffees on their table, eavesdrops as she waits for some clue that Karl didn't go through with their deal.
Trixie's
Connor is preparing dinner. Jack comes over and Connor tells him Nina isn't home. Jack pushes past Connor and says he'll wait. Jack asks why Connor is there making dinner and asks him if he's out to impress Nina. Connor tells Jack to leave and he'll tell Nina he called. Jack says no way.
Kennedys
Karl is at home, having made himself dinner he opens a bottle of wine and pours a glass for himself, has a gulp and tops it up again.
Trixie's
Connor tells Jack Trixie may be back soon. Jack says Connor wouldn't be there if Trixie was coming back. Connor asks Jack what he wants. Jack says he loves Nina and his life has gone off the rails. Connor asks Jack if he expects Nina to forgive him after everything he's done to her. Jack says no but now that Connor is on the scene he doesn't have a chance. Connor says they are used friends. Jack tells him to have the guts to admit that he liked Nina. He keeps pushing and mentions Michelle and Connor snaps saying he and Michelle are over and admits that maybe he is getting feelings for Nina and says he's a good bloke and Jack used to think so too. Jack leaves.
